I would disagree... A Thai entering Thailand (on a Thai passport issued in county) without a re-entry card will have some explaining to do... I would reccomend that when you exit the country show immigration BOTH your passports and ask the officer to stamp a re-entry card for you to put in your Thai passport for your future return...

I would avoid realtors... Pick a condo complex you like and go directly to the office and ask if units are for sale or rent by owners... I would also suggest you rent in a building for a year before you buy... You get to know the building and get the inside scoop so do speak... Rents are cheap relative to buying and you are not locked in. You could even negotiate that the rent paid would go twards a future purchase price...
And in the next year our beloved Generalisimo will ensure that realestate prices will not go up ;-)

Yes its working thanks.
I went with the True iNet 199 that is 50% free until 2015 so its 1GB a month. Will see how that works out for now.
Note if you ever go over your 1gb you can purchase an extra 1gb of data for 150 baht... Here is a great web site interface to manage your True prepaid account:
-
Go to the following website while your device is accessing the internet from your True sim...
This will show you the data topup options available to you and you can also choose reocurring plans which are nice.
You can get 500mb for 199 baht/month (But they give you double data as a promotion - So it will be 1GB)...
If you run over the 1 GB and your data slows to 128mbps... you can go to back the website above and topup an additional 1 GB of 3g speed for 150 baht...

I am very happy with Truemoves prepaid 4G...
I make very few calls and mainly use the phone for data...
299 baht for 1.5GB per month (They have double data promotion running until 2015)...
It is setup to reoccur/auto renew so I just topup a 1,000 baht and good for +3 months ...
If I run over the 1.5GB (which I have yet to do) I can purchase additional 1GB for 150 baht...
I have gone online to True and registered the sim and phone number in my name so if I were
to lose the phone I could get a replacement sim and such by showing my ID

BTW When I went into the True Store to get their new upgraded 4G sim the lady at first said only Post Paid possible for 4G - But I showed her the above webpage (on my iPhone) with a confused smile (The Thai smile that say your lying to me) and she relented and processed and gave me the new sim... I think she was lazy as there was alot of fiddling with my phone, sms and such with the new sim before it worked ;-)...

If he exits on his UK passport and returns on his Thai passport he will not have the return part of the departure card... What will immigration do?

TrueMove has a basic Internet package of 1gb for 199 baht... When that runs out you can top up aditional 1gb of high speed 3G for an additional 150 baht as many time as you like... Kind of a pain but still cheaper than what you got...

As a few have suggested... You would be better off spending your money on the best stand alone wifi router and just daisy chain it off your True router via one of the Ethernet port... No need to disable the True routers wifi just name your new router something different... You could also buy a length of Ethernet cable and place the second new router in a place in your home that is better or provides more wifi coverage...

Locked up for 1-2 hours then let out with a 200B fine and a stern warning not to do it again.
The crackdown that works.
More likely they were let off by performing 20 minutes of community service

I've been to a few of these places - The problem I find is they do not have a size big enough for my thick head

Those cheap (980 baht) digital tuner boxes at Big C/Tesco should work and then you would need a cheap speaker system... Those can be found at Big C/Tesco also

The Thai Red Cross near Silom sells Truvada and a Generic called Ricovir-EM - you just need a perscription from a doctor.

Price/Bottle: 2,100 THB (30 tab)
28. TDF 300 mg + FTV 200 mg (Generic)
Trade Name: RICOVIR-EM

Then it's al excellent deal!... Which Big C?
-
Old one down to 8600B (WIFI only) in Big C today.
Most likely an iPad 1...
The 2s are about 10,400... 3 will be about 13,500
And yes the 3 is a bit of a letdown with only the addition of fingerprint ID for an extra 3,000 baht...
-
Yes you will be able to... Truemove H will allow hotstop tethering from a smartphone to your wifi tablet...

Last week I bought an open-box iPad Mini 2 16 GB that was put on sale quite cheaply. I must say that I'm quite disappointed. The size is clumsy to hold and the apps (Kindle and NYT) are not as full-featured as the same apps on my Android tablets. It's a horrendous ripoff compared to the Amazon new Fire 16 GB which sells for $119 rather than $389! On the iPad, there are simple things that I can't figure out how to do without consulting online Apple help files. I suppose it is all quite intuitive to Applemfanboys. It sure isn't to me!
I will take it off your hands for $119 and you can go buy a Fire

What kind of phone does your friend have?... If it's a smartphone you can use the hotspot function on the phone to create a wifi tether to your computer... I have an iPhone.Macbook Air with 4G from True H that works great
Note 4G is very limited as it is new...

Quote from CityNews...
"Police Colonel Rutjapong Saravanangkool said officials had mooted plans that would allow foreigners to use a keycard or something similar when checking in at convenience stores. He would push this idea over the next year and hoped to make it a reality, he added"
What is "mooted plans"...
They have mooted plans for a new Immigration office...
They have mooted plans for a Skytrain...
They have mooted plans for Democracy...
This sounds similar to when pigs fly out...

Apple products are way to complicated for the average user and most of the capabilities are therefore not used or understood. Anyone with a passing interest should not waste money on an apple product. It's better for them to use a windows or android based product that is much easier for the novice or limited user to grasp and eventually master.
I saw what you did there

Wasn't it just last week that they said British tourism is down 10% and Chinese down 30%?
And the Happiness Index with Generalissimo is up in the 90's

But the OPs passport is not from a foreign Thai consul... It is from Thailand... So an immigration officer may raise an eyebrow by a passport that was issued IN COUNTRY with no arrival card stapled in it or record in computer upon entry to the country ... As I said better to sort the departure/arrival card (or what ever it is called by the purist)... on the way out of Thailand
