Here is my take on homemade pizza... I have a cheap Oxygen 28 oven that cost ~1,600 baht... the pizza stone I got at the local tile outlet ~50 baht... I have raised it a few cm from the lower heat element with a garden brick that I cut into 4 small legs...
The problem I was having before this setup was given I like to heap lots of stuff on the pizza American style the crust in the middle would never cook... So now I do a two step oven cook the first with just the pizza sauce onto the lower pizza stone of the oven that was preheated for 30 minutes on the highest setting (250c)... once the crust has risen and firmed up I take it out and add the ingredients... then I put it on the top rack close to the upper element... Also I do a baker trick and put a small ice cube on the lower pizza stone to melt and add steam to the oven...
The finished crust while not stone oven pretty is cooked thru in the middle... I am now searching for a small torch to get that real stone oven look ????
All the ingredients were sourced at Rimping and cost about the same as a small pizza at The Dukes! 555...

It is two months prior and not three months prior. I have asked several people at immigration counter just in case one gave me wrong info.
And cannot go below 400k for the full year after...

My local Bangkok Branch told me that they could not provide me with that form.
Do you mean they could not provide the letter at all or just not on the spot....
My branch manger said that they couldn’t give it that day because they only have 6 months history on the computer... They would need to order a full year statement from BKK and with that they could draft a statement... In a week or so..

the us would not care if thailand devalues in fact thailand has long done he opposite and manipulated its currency upwards at great expense to the thai people but very nice for the uber wealthy chinese

This may give Thailand cover to devalue its own currency... Up until now they have allowed the Baht appreciate I think mainly because if they intervened and tried tamp it down the US would sanction them... Now they can tell the US they are just protecting themselves from China...

I don’t see how having a couple dozen guys standing along a worksite playing with their phones would speed things up...
-
It should also be noted that we are required to link our identity to our cellphone number... I assume the Immigration & BIB can access our exact location by popping on a computer...
So our cellphones are just like ankle bracelets...

They already do allow online TM30 reporting.
Please show a link to a properly functioning website that a non-Thai can understand?

We have lived in the same house for the last 5 years... Both my Thai drivers license have this address on the back... I have reported this address to Immigration every 90 days and use the same address for my annual extension... This year I deposited 800,000 baht in a bank account - After paying Thai Immigration 1,000 baht they printed me a free Residency Certificate so the Thai Revenue Dept now also has address...
We travel outside Chiang Mai 1-2 times a month for long weekend getaways... To Bangkok and to the seaside... I have no intention of reporting my movements within the country to the police... If at any time in the future I am fined or forced to comply I will most likely leave such a police state...

Keep us posted on how it works!

I would think it could be used but it would need to be sent monthly in a consistent amount and date...

Same in the US. All done by mail. I agree that getting a new O-A every two years is the best bet. Unfortunately, with our Idiot-in-Chief still in office, I have grown to really hate going back.

The difficulty of going back every two years is you need to maintain a state presence to obtain a state issued police report... One should just need a current state drivers license to request a police report but without a drivers license these can be difficult to obtain...
Then you need to hunt down a doctor that is versed in Tuberculosis, Leprosy, Elephantitus & 3rd Stage Syphilis and willing to sign a medical certificate without a $1,000 worth of tests...

I used to go just for the pizzas, but with so much choice now with pizzas and of much better value I really dont see the need to ever go back and risk the negatives highlighted above.
Lots of euro style pizza places but I prefer Dukes American pizza style and know of no place in Chiang Mai that can beat Dukes

The problem with this is that the Immigration “boss” can change and on the next extension you can be greeted with a “you no have TM30”... But I was told... Too bad they can’t give you something in writing that days a TM30 is not needed in this office...

...and at the same time plenty of agencies with a 'fee' and nothing needed..
We all know why..
Maybe it Pattaya/Bangkok but I have never read or heard of an agency in Chiang Mai that can arrange a “nothing needed” visa extension...

You might avoid the Ping river branch as they have limited their menu of western foods to about 3 or 4 selections, and now primarily have only Thai dishes. Went over the other Duke's and had a combo pizza today. Delicious.
We were there just last night... They have the same menu they have had for the last 10 years... NO Thai food on the menu at all (where did you get that??)... We had our usual salad and pizza fix - It was great as usual...
The OP can go to their website and check out the menu which also shows the prices...

The agents love this. They've got Chiang Mai immigration to block everybody from US, UK and Australia doing the combine method. That's their market piece now....
Two months ago Assist Thai Visa a major agent in Chiang Mai has said publicly that they can not help with combo method either...

Thanks for info. How will they know if I don't do it.
Immigration would only know if the hospital in fact files a TM30 for your stay...
I would bet that virtually no hospital (with the accepting of the big ones that specialize in and sell medical tourism packages) have set up procedures to file a TM30... They would most likely assume their patients are local and they are also not considered by law as hotels...
Upon checkin in at the hospital ask them... My guess is you will get a blank stare...
