One not mentioned problem with these portable units is that if you properly vent them to the outside the unit creates a vacuum in the room... Hot air from the unit is expelled but that air must be replaced... most likely from under the door or cracks in window fitting... Basically sucking more hot air from outside into the room... 

We've booked a nice beach house on the secluded end of Koh Chang... My guess is we will still get wet but will be in our swim suits ;-)

^^^ I always used the Ajusted Gross Income from the bottom of the first page of my tax return... But as others have stated the US Consul and the CM Immigration have never questioned that number... The Consul doesn't care and the Immigration office wouldn't know how to read my 30 page tax return (which I always bring along in case) ;-)...

^^^ Re-Entry permits are optional... if you don't think you will be leaving the country within the period on the extension of stay you don't need to buy it... you can always get a re-entry permit at a later date at immigration or right before you pass thru immigration when leaving the country...

Greatwhitenorth can you show us what type of plans you had drawn up to give to the builders?... were they detailed drawings?... was there a general contractor or did you direct all the work?

There is a shop on the left side half way down on Chang Moi Rd the guy has been there for ever and does a great job... custom stitching and all...

Here is my take on home made hamburgers... I opt for a Parisian sandwich baguette from Rimping along with 100 baht of ground beef from the meat counter... I quarter the baguette and butter itcan sprinkle a little garlic salt on them and grill them with the meat which has been covered with freshly ground pepper corns... serve open faced with a baked potato slathered with butter... ;-)

I'm in Hang Dong... they sent me a text message at 9:52pm saying their fiber cable was damaged and down...   1:47am second text saying I should reboot my router...
