  1. Everybody time my partner suggest that we go and buy food for diner at the market it ends up costing me more than a salad and pizza at The Duke's... and the refrigerator  reeks of klong kritters and durian for days...:coffee1:

  2. Given you don't want to make huge structural changes - I would recommend an exhaust fan to help remove the hot air from the attic space - install a couple in the ceiling in the bathrooms or in the hallway in the top floor (not in an air conditioned space) mine are in the bathrooms and I just wired them to the existing lights in the ceiling which are low watt bulbs... Amorn sells a nice unit for about 800 baht... also look at how the sun hits your house:roof... plant shade trees or a row of tall bamboo to stop the sun

  3. The thing I would worry about is if there are any dead pixels on the tv... they are not considers a defect but can really be a pain - I would buy from a place where you can see the tv screen running before you buy... take a USB flash drive with two high resolution .jpgs - one totally white and another totally black - this will allow you to see if there are any dead pixels

  4. Here is a good summary of the prepaid options available...

I use Truemove H prepaid monthly 199 baht for 30 days 1.5gb of data... if I go over that within a month you can add a extra 1gb for 99 baht... it's simple buy a sim at the 711 activate, fund and press *900*8816# after that just make sure the account has enough funds at the end of the month as it will auto renew and deduct the 199 baht (plus tax)

PS... don't bother with any of the 3G plans as they are slow and you will be disappointed...

  5. HomePro sell this clear acrylic sealer for a pebble flooring install... put a few coats in the cracked area... Between coats use a razor blade scrape any excess overpaint... between coats wrap the paintbrush in plastic and store on the freezer as you can't rinse the brush with water ;-)
