  1. You can buy plastic sheeting (several different thickness) at Talaat Kamthieng at the chemical supply shop. They sell them from large rolls in bulk.

Where in Kamthieng is this shop located? I've only seen plants, pets, and fish shops. Thanks.

Look for the garden supply shop in the area of the orchid shops

  2. ^ how does it expel the hot air in the attic?

    perhaps beamed out by Scotty?

My attic is like most other attics here in Thailand - A series of tiles laid one on another... When your in the attic you can see light between most of the tiles... Air can flow out these cracks and in addition my house has a large vent edge on the overhangs - many places for air to escape with a little help...

Sorry my humble, cost effective and effective solution does not have the galactic wizardry of Naam's turbo wind tunnel exhaust system... coffee1.gif

  3. I had the same issue - I would walk up stairs and get hit with a wall of heat...

I installed the fan linked below in the ceiling if the upper floor of my townhouse above the stairwell landing... It is quiet and uses little electricity (25w)and i calculate it replaces the air in the attic space every 20 minutes or so... I leave it running from early morning until after sun down... It sucks the hot air from the upper floor into the attic space (replacing the even hotter air thats there)... Simple to wire as I ran wire right down to the stairwell landing light switch box...

Also note at Homepro they have two models of this - a VC20 and a VC25... get the 25 it sucks almost twice as much as the 20

Oh and you can order from Lazada too...

  4. Ordering from Apple.com/th is fine... You will not have any import duties... Shipping is safe & professional

I would not recommend the new Macbook unless you really want the smallest and lightweight tiny laptop

I agree with the previous poster that suggests a MacBook Pro 13" - and this has no waiting time to ship

One thing to pay attention to is when ordering you can choose a English or Thai keyboard - (Thai is the default)

  5. One other side note... One the road there near the entrance to the waterfall is a small wat on the right that has a great naga and stair steps up to a cave... Great side trip for the kids!

how about a Google Map reference please?

It is just a small turnoff on a dirt road but is not more than a couple hundred meters in...

You might be lucky and see the forest monks that live there too!

  6. Is it built in or just a table top model you plug into the wall?...

If it is just a plug in model read post above...

Also if it is a plug in model have her plug another devise into the outlet to confirm she hasn't just blown a breaker or the outlet is bad..

If it is built in have her look in the cupboard below - there may be a breaker switch that has been tripped... Or look at the breaker box for a flipped switch there also...
