  1. Look out the windscreen, don't bother with the rearview. Shoulda, coulda, woulda.
  2. BJT has said that they will NOT join the MF coalition due to their position on reforms of the Institution. But there could more "asks".?
  3. Fully expected result. And for those who are pro-choice, this is actually a good thing in the long run. Just waiting for someone to take up the shoddy Federal approvals for Viagra.
  4. MoveForward is going to have to pledge not to pursue ANY reforms of the Institution. Unfortunately, most of their voters support such reforms, so this will be seen as a failure of democracy. And if they cave on this they'll have to promise not to let Thaksin return. Unfortunately, most of the PTP voters support his return. Three scenarios MF and PTP cave Stalemate Turmoil+coup
  5. I only get two choices? Heck there were 67-ish choices on the Purple ballot. ???? The "right" thing? As a single Senator? Or can I tell all of them what to do? I'm not qualified to answer, but I'll take a run anway, assuming one vote only I'd cast for the coalition, as I consider that the only option so it is an up/down vote, and a down vote is not really a vote for anything. It'd be a vote for nothing.
  6. That's probably between them and the person they swore an oath to when they were installed. According to the Constitution (Sec. 159), they have a role to play, unfortunately.
  7. A new dawn. One or two "new dawns" are great. More than that? Maybe not.
  8. Tell me again who fired the previous FBI Director, and nominited Mr. Wray? A tale as old as time, with a long history of trying to "manage" perceived political threats. Only recently did it come to light that the FBI tried to stich up members of the Racial Justice Movement in Colorado. They eventually got one plea, for having their informant give FBI money to someone to buy a gun from the FBI. FBI paid violent felon to undermine racial justice movement in Denver, new podcast "Alphabet Boys" alleges https://www.cbsnews.com/colorado/news/podcast-alphabet-boys-fbi-racial-justice-informant-denver/ https://theintercept.com/2023/02/07/fbi-denver-racial-justice-protests-informant/
  9. Some Durham True Believers still hanging on. Amazing. Have a good cry, move on. As Dr. McCoy would say, "Damn it Jim, he's dead."
  10. So has he been speaking out about the Senate in general, since the latest Constitution was ratified? Most who voted for MoveForward probably think this guy is part of the problem. With this endeavor it seems like he's jumping on a train late. That's never a good look. IMO, he's just trying to remain relevant and remain in the pbulic eye because, well, he's vain. He should move back to whistleblowing, police corruption.
  11. Disney's Song of the South is probably OK though. Zippity Doo Dah... Who the heck wants to be a teacher? It already sucked, low pay, buy your own classroom supplies, but now, sheesh every teacher will be afraid to say or do anything.
  12. Cannabis was not the defining issue, not even top 10. Yes, MF and PTP voiced concerns about cannabis, but mostly about regulating the industry, rather than re-criminalizing it.
  13. Anutin was a member of Thai Rak Thai, and served in the Thaksin administration. So not the strecth you portray. https://www.nationthailand.com/thailand/politics/40020007 He's probably in negotiations, which would also include some imdemnification for Saksayam. Energy, Interior, Commerce, DES?
  14. Anutin Charnvirakul served in the Thaksin administration and was a member of the Thai Rak Thai party (and had a five year ban as a result), so he/BJT might also fit in a coalition government.
  15. I guess I'm surprised no one posted a link to the Commencement Address? (Pardon me if someone I ignore did.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97gytSrWlIM A relevant document... Strategic Intelligence Assessment and Data on Domestic Terrorism - 2022 As required by the National Defense Authorization Act, the FBI and Department of Homeland Security, in consultation with the Director of National Intelligence, have produced this strategic intelligence assessment on domestic terrorism, which includes a discussion of activities, certain data on domestic terrorism matters, and recommendations. https://www.fbi.gov/file-repository/fbi-dhs-domestic-terrorism-strategic-report-2022.pdf/view https://www.fbi.gov/file-repository/fbi-dhs-domestic-terrorism-strategic-report-2022.pdf search for superiority of the white race
  16. So much for the will of the People. And it is amusing that the appointed Senators are telling the elected MPs, what can and cannot happen. Nice Democracy you got there, be a shame if something happened to it, I don't think they can peel off ~ 68 Senators, at least not without promising not to pursue reforms, or bring back Thaksin.
  17. Maybe all the Durham fanbois can have a good cry, get it out of your system and move on. Plenty of other "conspiracies" to prattle on about.
  18. "...this was unprofessional, and failed to meet the standards of the Justice Department and the FBI" Tapper quoting the report. ~ 4:25 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICLExVTNxZ8 Maybe Comey should be fired? Oh, right. Nevermind.
  19. How many passengers saluted, reflexively? Did the train run on time?
  20. Is this based on second-hand or third-hand information/sources? And is OK to ask where Hunter Biden's laptop be at? Is that still a thing?
  21. I'm waiting for the "Bill Barr Approved, Condensed Version". Durham brought three cases, he lost two. The one he won, was for an FBI lawyer who altered an email to get search warrant. He got probabtion+community service. Kudos to AG Garland for letting "Bull" Duham have all the time he needed to finish his "investigation". I do feel for all those here who were predicting catacylsmic charges in this, "biggest political scandal of all time". They anxiously awaited each step Durham took. Then, whimper. Off enjoying another Nothing-Burger.
  22. Yes. Sure. During the election. And of course they can continue to voice their opposition, and vote in Parliament against any reforms. But holding a government in waiting hostage? Not a good look. There are some off-ramps but ultra-Royalists will not allow ANY reforms, nor even any discussions about reforms, so there is a deadlock.
  23. Interesting that this was done "quietly".
  24. MoveForward ran on a platform which included certain reforms of the Institution. Millions voted for MF based on their platform. It would be disingenuous to abandon this plank NOW.
