  1. What does this have to do with the topic?
  2. Well you might think it's because he's a douchebag. But he's not a natural born citizen of the U.S.A.
  3. That makes sense, but PTP should get first ministry choice, then alternate, and consider throwing BJT a ministry. They did come in third. I'd give PTP the MoD, just to piss off the generals.
  4. Projection. Next thing you know they'll be complaining about animated caricatures of M&Ms. Wait, I'm being told the right wingnut jobs have already cycled through Woke M&Ms twice already.
  5. Yeah, I don't need to do any research to find out there are lots of people out there who are just nuts. I have your posts for that purpose. So these people making you sick are folks you heard about from some one else. Do I have that correct? Maybe work on not being so sick first.
  6. Maybe you should heal yourself by not getting offended by these "people" who I think might be imaginary.
  7. Imagine if people could fashion a cogent argument without posing some idiotic premise.
  8. Some "powder" is to be expected, in the bottom-most portion of the grinder. Most call these trichome-dominated bits "kief". But yeah, with decent flower the resulting product in the screen is uniform in size and still moist.
  9. I was surprised to learn that the tag-line "Make America Florida" is real. I honestly thought it was a punch-line to a joke, much like the Governor.
  10. Not ideal, actions being determined by what a minority might do, but probably better than triggering some moron into another mass shooting. These rightwing nut jobs don't require much to go over the edge, so better to be safe now, than dole out thoughts and prayers later.
  11. IMLE The best way to get kids interested in something is to restrict access to it. The American Library Association, at the request of the Washington Post just did an analysis of school-banned books. Objection to sexual, LGBTQ content propels spike in book challenges An analysis of book challenges from across the nation shows the majority were filed by just 11 people 42% contained LGBQT+ references 28% had characters of color or dealt with race https://www.washingtonpost.com/education/2023/05/23/lgbtq-book-ban-challengers/ Personally I think it is good that the right wingnut jobs are pushing so hard on these social progress issues. They look nuttier and nuttier with each passing day, and the majority of Americans do not support being ruled by the tyrannical minority. It will snap back severely for these nutjobs.
  12. You were, in the warm summer months. "keeping" means it's brewed in the cooler months, and lagered in the colder months.
  13. What more do they need to see or hear, I mean other than "ka-ching", in order to make a binary decision? They have all the information they need to make a decision. This lengthy "election certification" process seems dumb, due 13 July 2023, and vote for PM 3 August 2023. https://www.thaienquirer.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Thai-Enquirer-News-Summary-May-24-2023.pdf
  14. I used this list, it could be wrong, but it does list ThaiBev. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Thai_Royal_Warrant_holders Thai Beverage Co. Ltd (ThaiBev) (multinational breweries and distilleries, 19 September 2013). https://www.iseas.edu.sg/images/pdf/ISEAS_Perspective_2017_29.pdf And my mistake, that should be Royal Warrant of Appointment (not Approval). I assume such an appointment is granted to a Company, and not a single product, but who knows.
  15. Random observations: A new government/cabinet is three months out, assuming no speed bumps. A new government/Minister of Public Health will not re-list Cannabis Flower as a Narcotic in Mid-July. (less than 5% chance of this happening) So the status quo will remain, perhaps with a bit of ad-hoc enforcement by the RTP at the behest of DTAM, on licensing, products, imports, at least until then, and beyond most likely. In the meantime one hopes that a small panel of MVF, PTP and yes, BJT, MPs is forming a legislative strategy. BJTs ~ 71 seats means they'll have a say on the legislation (input and passage). That strategy though, might involve a bit of kicking the can down the road, in that it may just codify a Cannabis Control Board, with ~ 25 members who will be resonsible for implementing all the laws, rules, regulations regarding Cannabis production, sales, use. Opponents seem most conerned about "controlling the distribution" of Cannabis (too many shops, exposure to/access by minors), rather than banning access altogether. At least that's the common refrain I see here and in the Thai press. Applying some/most/many/all controls currently used for Tobacco and Alcohol seems like a good starting point? And then layer on any additional regulations required due to the unique nature of Cannabis. I would propose a 5% additional tax (so 12 % in total incl. of VAT) on Cannabis Flower at the retail level. This tax would be waived for medical sales. This 5% would be directed towards Meth education/recovery programs. That's my read as of today. Two areas of concern: Cannabis seems to be a relativley minor issue in the overall landscape of Thai society and politics. Arguably there are ten or twenty more important issues to address. It might not even be a top ten health issue here? And yet, there seems to be an inordinately large amount of focus on this minor issue. Real Drug problems, specifically Methamphetamine (Ya Ba and Ya Ice), are never ever discussed, it's almost like everyone has gvien up on it. Meth is a far, far far larger problem than Cannabis, and a huge drain on the Kingdom. Much much more focus should be directed at this real drug problem. Thailand doesn't have to worry about Cannabis as a "gateway drug". The populace already walked through the gate, without sampling Cannabis, and went straight for Meth.
  16. This is the common response from those who make preposterous statements, and are then unable to handle any criticism. So they go on the offensive and claim others are aggressive. And then they throw in an all-encompassing insult (their drug habits.). I get it, we learn this sort of behavior in the school yard, and then many grow out of it. We'll be sure to treat your subsequent posts with more gentleness so as to not come across as too aggressive.
  17. Yeah, most of us "start" with "Air". Gateway drug is a stoopid phrase/concept, used mostly by simpletons who have zero valid points supporting their misconceptions.
  18. Find the thing. Check delivery options, if they meet your requirements order the thing. Most large retailers offer expedited (same day/ few hours) delivery. I've gotten a Tops delivery within 2 hours, they have a sliding scale, I paid 110 baht, delivery came on two separate motorbikes, but 110 all in for both. Most smaller shops can arrange a motorbike delivery within an hour or two.
  19. ThaiBev and Boon Rawd should support the craft brew industry. Let the small companies build awareness, brands, markets and then buy them (if they choose to sell). Note that this duopoly hold a Royal Warrant of Approval (and can display the Royal Garuda symbol), So any perceived minimizing of this status could be viewed in a negative light.
  20. DTAM is responsible for issuing licenses. They should not be issuing licenses for shops within some acceptable minimum distance from a school. For now use the alcohol distance limit (if any, I think it was 300 m but that may have been changed to something more vague), or ask the school administrator/MoE for a recommended minimum distance. Simple. Easy. No MS in Rocket Science needed. D'Oh. BTW a lot of the products on display in the photo appear to be illegal, assuming they are a THC content of greater than 0.2%. "Cannabis Lollys" for example. And not sure about the wine coolers/beers, unless those are smoking accessories? I mean I might have a problem with EVERYTHING in that photo, pending a close up review. But then it could all be sub 0.2% product. Does this shop actually sell legal Cannabis Flower?
  21. You mean kill all the drug users here? There's like 280,000 persons incarcerated here for drugs (mostly meth). All of the prisoners in for cannabis (~ 4,000) have already been released. Should they be rounded up as as well, and murdered? Just askin'. Maybe workshop those ideas a bit before publishing them. ????
  22. Urges to Shut Down All Cannabis Shops I could get behind this, so moving to 100% online sales and fulfillment would streamline purchase, and get those pesky weed shops empty/vacant and away from the prying eyes of the children.
  23. Without any supporting data Alainpm's post is sheer conjecture and opinion. My opinion is that 0% of locally available cannabis "...was produced by mexican cartels in California with forced labor, tons of chemicals, no ethics, hig load of THC." Yes, there is some imported flower for sale here, but that is decreasing in volume (both weight and revenue), both because of locally produced flower becoming available, and a pushback/negative association on foreign flower. Note that locally grown flower can/may have "foreign sounding" strain names, and originate from imported seeds, but the flower is not imported.
