Thailand's sex workers hope election will change their lives
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I think any Sex Worker Rights Act, and Same-Sex Marriage Act, are still decades away. I think we like to think Thailand is more progressive than it really is. Are any parties supporting either of these initiatives? I suspect some are, especially those with fewer than one MP seat. -

I'm comfortable with the labels... Alleged murderer Alleged Domestic Terrorist I really don't care about his gang affiliation. -

I would imagine that most criminal defendants say/think the same thing, so you are not alone. BTW, where did you attend Law School? Pass the bar? You seem to "know your stuff". -

I guess, if they fit the narrow scope (New York State, new Victims Laws, etc.). Hopefully any additional alleged assaults, they filmed The Apprentice in many locations, ocurred in more rape-friendly states. -

I don't think this was about money. I think that is on the jury. You mean other women will file civil suits against Trump? -

Can we at least agree that people were killed and injured, by a gunman who was killed? That Korean family and their loss is staggering. I think we need to understand the motivation of the shooter(s) because, maybe, it helps us process these frequent violent crimes. And once the motivation is understood we can file these incidents away and forget about them, because we are powerless to prevent them in the future. There will be a full investigation, which will include likelihoods of the several motivational aspects (mental, estrangement, anger, hate). But by then there will have been another ~ 50 mass shootings. My assumption is that a full investigation will take at least 90 days. In the meantime can we close the private gun sale market loophole? Or would that be too infinge-y? BTW this not so current, FBI PSA is embarrassing. Shades of the 1960's when we went down to school boiler room training for a nuclear attack. Good for you. Evidently the jury did too, that and evidence. Between Trump's lawyer and Trump's video depsoition, and Trump's behavior during the trial, and Trump's truthing about the trial, he wasn't putting up much of a defense. Loser (Trump, not any member here). -

From the linked article in the OP... They've claimed, without evidence, that it's part of a "psychological operation" or "false flag" by the government to smear those on the right or far-right. Can someone explain the rationale here? Is it just to obfuscate the truth? Or is to deflect criticism of gun control, or the right wing neo-Nazi movement? Or is it just an attempt to confuse people and have them question everything? Including these spurious "claims"? I mean people were killed and injured, with guns, right? Or is that open for debate too? -
Like when? I'm guessing the first guest will not be Matt Taibbi. And now, instead of the Jan. 6 videos, which was an embarassing flop, he'll have exclusive access to The Twitter Files. BTW, his "free speech" was "restricted" by Rupert Murdoch, and not the Government, and only a result of being fired. He is still free to speak.

More winning. And I'm not sick of it. On the plus side, he hasn't stood on Fifth Avenue and shot someone, yet, that we know about. Yeah, well that and the two women who testified that Trump did the exact same thing to them. Still trying to figure out what his "type" is, you know that he seems to become uncontollably handsy with. IMO, Trump and Melania should have appeared in court every day, and both should have testified, one in defense, the other as a character witness. "Donald vould never do such a thing, until after the prenup/NDA is signed." -
Thailand’s cannabis sellers say US growers are eating their lunch

OK, it would be more, rather than "quite", "believable" if can you provide the name of the dispensary where you made your purchase? How much weight did you buy? I assume you paid the 17% - 20% tax? I looked, quickly, at a few of the larger dispensaries in the greater Portland area, and didn't see any eighths for less than $20 ++ (so $24 all in). At $2 all in an eighth would be $7. All that said, if I were smuggling cannabis from the U.S to Thailand I guess I would source it in Oregon. Ganja glut? With excess weed, growers seek interstate sales In Oregon, where sales began in 2015, large growers have achieved some economy of scale that could give them a leg up in a broader market. But in the meantime, the state’s oversupply is considered the nation’s worst. In February, the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission reported marijuana businesses were sitting on about 3 million pounds (1.36 million kilograms) of unused cannabis, as well as 75,000 pounds (34,000 kilograms) of concentrates and extracts. Contributing to the glut in Oregon and to a lesser degree in Washington is that the states licensed so many growers. The initial idea was to ensure enough supply for the legal market, bringing down prices to compete with the black market. Oregon, with a little over half of Washington’s population, has hundreds more licensed growers. https://apnews.com/article/cannabis-marijuana-420-legal-california-oregon-washington-ae7880387eee7dbfcfecaff563d0b211#:~:text=But in the meantime%2C the, kilograms) of concentrates and extracts. Meanwhile in Missouri, recently went recreational, they can't keep up with demand and prices are actually rising. Missouri marijuana companies face product shortages, price hikes after adult-use launch The Midwestern market, which launched recreational sales on Feb. 3, is off to a sizzling start and on pace to break $1 billion in sales in its first full year. But strong demand from medical marijuana patients as well as local and out-of-state consumers has far exceeded operators’ expectations and resulted in the kind of product shortages and higher wholesale prices experienced in other newly launched recreational markets. In some areas of the state, particularly near the Kansas border, Missouri retailers are seeing foot traffic increase ninefold since expanding into recreational sales. https://mjbizdaily.com/missouri-adult-use-cannabis-companies-face-product-shortages-price-hikes/ Nectar: https://nectar.store/store/122nd-and-holladay/ -
I searched, exchange coins site:aseannow.com and this topic has come up often but with little in the way of solutions. SCB did have some coin counting/deposit machines but I think they phased those out. You had to have an SCB account and the coin amount was depsited into your account. In this volume, I've been told by "finance people" (aka loan sharks) associated with Khlong Toei market, the amount is calculated by weight, and some sort of sliding fee scale ~ 2-ish %) is applied. A one baht coin weights 3 g https://www.royalthaimint.net/ewtadmin/ewt/mint_en/mobile_detail.php?cid=21&nid=302 Assuming you have a scale, or can buy one as they are relatively inexpensive and can be used for cooking and dietary portion control, then I'd break them down to 102 ~ 105 baht small food takeawy portion bags, bags. Label them as such. Then take five of these to the biggest local market and see what can be arranged. Rinse, repeat.

So a greenhouse with supplemental light is "indoor". This is your opinion, right? I'd agree that one has more control with indoor growing, and that higher yields might be acheived. But potency? Meh. Show me the "science" And your lack of respect for one of the most venerated Cannabis proponents in Thailand is noted. Sorry, this logic fails me. Yes, I did find that chart hence my reference to $4/gram, wholesale, at the Kilogram level. I think this is down to supply v. demand, rather than the maturity of the market. Sir, this is a Wendy's. Scanned your diatribe, but wow. Maybe distill it. -

Sheesh you're persistent. Cannabis was "found". "Found" cannabis is unsmoked. That's fact your honor. Did he smoke some of the cannabis? Dunno. Irrelevant. Cannabis is LEGAL. -

Unsmoked. Legal. Evidently no crystal methamphetamine found as he had smoked it all. He tested positive for Crystal Methamphetamine. No need or requirement to test for cannabis because, it's legal. Maybe he was saving the legal cannabis to help him wind down from the meth experience? Maybe the cannabsi was for soemone else? Seems simple enough but folks be havin' problems understanding basic facts. -

I've heard this "astute" comment made about everything including nail salons, hair salons, coffee shops, bars, go-gos, massage parlors, sex shops.... I mean this topic has been charting on the Barstool Banter Top 10 for at least twenty years. Can anyone explain how it works for cannabis shops? Who's doing it? Which currencies are being laundered? How many of the 4,550+ cannabis shops are involved? Seems really convoluted. But I'll believe anything.
