He has bigger enemies than himself. The biggest. And I think he will be subject to criminal charges, 112/116, along with scrutiny on land deals/holdings. Criticism of the Institution must be nipped in the bud, and an example must be made to discourage future criticisms. But I do agree that he should have had two separate legal/financial reviews of his holdings. Especially given Thanatorn's travails with an in-flight magazine. I think he thought, assuming he was aware of all the details of his late father's holdings, that iTV shares were worthless paper. Most people would think that too. But the CC can rule however they want, and they'll rule he violated 98.3 FWIW he was, however briefly, an MP in 2019/2020, until Future Forward was run out of town. I'd like to see all MPs and Senators subject to a similar financial forensic review.

Of course they weren't going to say anything, given their rank, status and privilege. But only when called out by the public do they choose to respond. If Senators cannot fulfill their sworn duty to the Senate then they should resign.

I'd say Pita is done. He'll be lucky to dodge a 112 or 116 charge. 82 (part) Upon receipt of the matter for consideration, if it appears that there are reasonable grounds to suspect that the case of the member against whom the complaint is lodged is founded, the Constitutional Court shall order such member to cease the performance of his or her duties until the Constitutional Court makes a decision. When the Constitutional Court has made a decision, it shall notify the President of the House to which the complaint is lodged under paragraph one of such decision. In the case where the Constitutional Court decides that the membership of the member against whom a complaint has been lodged is terminated, such person shall vacate office as from the date of cessation of the performance of duties, but this shall not affect any act done by such person prior to the vacation of his or her office. 98.3 being the owner of, or a shareholder in any newspaper or mass media business; 101.6 being under any prohibition under section 98; 98.3 seems pretty "flexible", so the CC will probably say that the glove fits.

Trump blames Chris Christie for ‘mistake’ of nominating FBI director.

"Only the best people". ...unless Chris Christie recommends them? Wray was nominated by trump and confirmed by the Senate 92-5. Trump always seems to have someone else to blame. -
Interesting how the slightest criticism of the upper crust here sets them off. It is probably the first time they have ever encountered resistance or criticism in their entire lives. Of course the reaction is a call for legal action when it would be far simpler to simply state why you voted, or didn't, the way you did. And why you chose to ignore the will of the people. Just be honest. You think you know what's best for ~ 70% of the voters.

Yes, of course you can say anything you want (within forum rules), and we are free to criticize what you said. If you say something which is racist or antisemitic than we are left to conclude that you may be a racist or an antisemite. Who, exactly took away RFK Jr's freedom of speech? You're confusing criticism with censorship. A common symptom of Conservative Aggrievement Disorder.

You can only oppress a population for so long. Eventually they'll realize that those in power will never, ever give it up. They will never play by the rules. So they will have to stand up and take power for themselves. That process may not be as respectful as everyone wants. The old guard will not go silently.

He had me until he mentioned that the U.S. bio-labs are in the Ukraine. Huh? Video can be viewed here: https://nypost.com/2023/07/15/rfk-jr-says-covid-was-ethnically-targeted-to-spare-jews/ Honestly this chap is loopy AF. His family should intervene before he says something even more epically stoopid.

Online calls for boycott of senators’ businesses top trending overnight
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
39 million voted, so MFP+PTP = ~ 65% MFP 38.01 % PTP 28.86 % Total 66.87% Both figures represent a significant majority and mandate. Suggesting otherwise, while faking the figures, is shameful behavior. -
And what about the Senators who chose not to attend this most important session of Parliament during their term? Thailand’s four armed forces’ chiefs to skip PM voting due to jobs elsewhere https://www.nationthailand.com/thailand/politics/40029296 Note that there were quite a few other ex-officio Senators who missed this vote. Shameful.

from the op-ed Reform would only serve to placate. The hour calls for something more potent — an overhaul, a revolutionary revision. We need to dismantle the existing structures and establish a new, accountable governance model that echoes the true spirit of Thai democracy. Strong stuff.

It is amazing how many topics, which were off-limits just a few years ago, are publicly discussed. Even last week's debate in Parliament for the PM selection resulted in a six-hour discussion of reforms to the Monarchy. In the recent past this sort of thing would have resulted in dozens of 112 and 116 charges. The old guard will react violently at these changes, with random enforcement of computer crimes act and defamation. They've already claimed "bullying". Prying into their marital status, side-pieces, common-law wives, offspring and businesses will set them off. They will want to make examples of a lot of people.

Based on the other recent threads here, scattered about different sub-forums, it seems like five ~ six weeks should be expected. You can prepare your passport application package at any time and the process may take up to five to six weeks from the date we receive your application to when you receive your new passport book by mail. If you are renewing your passport card by mail please expect six weeks to receive your replacement card. In the U.S. recent reports have un-expedited renewals/issuances getting into the 13 - 15 week range. The U.S. Embassy here no longer issues the "linkage letter". There is a link to a letter which explains this, for Thai Immigration. As of April 10, 2023, the Embassy/Consulate will no longer issue passport linkage letters with newly issued passports. If a Thai government office requests one, your cancelled passport and your newly issued passport will suffice. You may download this letter (PDF 70KB) in Thai and English that explains the change in Embassy policy. https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/passports/adult-passport-renew/
