  1. Good find, thanks for highlighting this. It's challenging to keep up with all of the anti-cannabis crowd here baying for attention. Yes, I did a search on this member and their "cannabis" posts. Maybe that's why they used "Strange request..." in the title? It being strange that somone who is so avowedly anti-cannabis is actually thinking about a new career in (illegal - authorized selling requires a license which is not available to foreigners as far as I know) drug dealing.
  2. Why can't he sell it and pay you the money he owes you? Or did you loan him cannabis? Accepting weed as payment seems almost as stoopid as providing unsecured loans.
  3. Rosaviatsia Approves Aircraft Cannibalization LONDON – Rosaviatsia, The Federal Air Transport Agency, has given the green light for aircraft cannibalization to go ahead as sanctions continue to bite Russia. As per Aviation Week, this approval from Rosaviatsia means that parts from grounded aircraft can be re-installed on aircraft that are still in service. These parts would become spare parts in effect, which allows the installation of non-original spare parts on Russian-operated foreign-made commercial aircraft without approval needed. https://aviationsourcenews.com/analysis/rosaviatsia-approves-aircraft-cannibalization/ Punished By Western Sanctions, Russia's Airlines Are Showing More Cracks And More Problems On January 9, a 4-year-old Airbus A320 operated by the Russian airline S7 was flying from the Siberian city of Bratsk to Moscow when it encountered a problem: Its toilet system malfunctioned. The flight was forced to divert to the city of Kazan for an unscheduled landing. "If spare parts are used, but with resources and with a verifiable history, that’s also no big deal," he said. "We take a plane somewhere in Bolivia, Uganda, or [Burma], disassemble it, remove the necessary components, carefully pack it up and deliver it. https://www.rferl.org/a/russia-aviation-industry-problems-western-sanctions/32244641.html
  4. My most recent 90-Day OL (CW) experience, applied 8 Jan 2023, ~ 08:00, APPROVED email received 9 Jan 2023 ~ 19:00. Maybe the quickest turnaround for me so far?
  5. It's weird how so many anti-cannabis members find their way to this forum. "I'm not here to find weed, honest.", and just can't resist offering medical and lifestyle advice. And the "advice" is laced with a heavy dose of passive-agressive posturing. Not sure how the OP even found this video, or how they can justify taking advice from a 31 year old loser, with no job, no girl/boy-friend, living in his mom's basement. The dude is somewhat funny, even though the joke is on him, but he does give off a pretty skeevy vibe. Could be the tarp, duct tape and shovel in the trunk? I might take legal or financial advice from this clown before I'd take his lifestyle recommendations. Maybe the mods should just limit these sorts of posts to a single thread, titled, of course, Reefer Madness.
  6. But, but the "government" might not function with the remaining three "honest" Thais?
  7. It has an unusual flavor profile, sweet/sour/spicy, for western palates. And it has to be made fairly carefully, adding the tamarind juice at just the right time after boiling. And many chefs/restos have different recipes, especially with regards to the prik kaeng In twenty-years, as tastes change, this might end up being a top ten dish?
  8. "Temporary"? Was the Suthep gang granted "temporary" release? SUTHEP AND AIDES GRANTED BAIL, 2 DAYS AFTER SEDITION VERDICT Suthep and seven of his lieutenants who campaigned alongside him during the “Shutdown Bangkok” street protests in 2013 and 2014 were deemed to pose no flight risk by the Court of Appeals. Their bond was set at 800,000 baht each. https://www.khaosodenglish.com/politics/2021/02/26/suthep-and-aides-granted-bail-2-days-after-sedition-verdict/ Even Pinky managed to get her ankle monitor removed. She did spend three months "behind bars" before being granted realses on bail. "The actress told the Court that she found it difficult to work in the entertainment industry while wearing an EM tag. The Court agreed to her request." https://thethaiger.com/news/national/political-activists-seek-justice-after-pinky-allowed-to-remove-em-tag Plenty of hand-wringing on this matter, even the PM has weighed in, which has surprised me. Quite a few ultra-nationalists are blaming and shaming the parents. The PtB seem worried about martyrs even though they have been easily dealt with in the past. Time, and erasure from the history always do the trick.
  9. Exactly. There is no National Anti-Malfeasance Commission, just the little-used, only driven on Sundays - OK, just one Sunday ever, NACC. https://www.nacc.go.th/english Might as well just change the name of the country to Malfeasancestan.
  10. No dog in this hunt but the timeline is curious... alleged "crime" took place in 2012 relevant law passed in 2018 indicted in 2023 "Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime" Lavrentiy Beria, the most ruthless and longest-serving secret police chief in Joseph Stalin’s reign of terror in Russia and Eastern Europe, bragged that he could prove criminal conduct on anyone, even the innocent.
  11. FWIW, it was reported that Chaiyanat Kornchayanant, AKA Tuhao, had been granted Thai citizenship so I'm not certain he needed a visa? How he gained citizenship should probably be investigated, or not. Chaiyanat is a Chinese businessman who was granted Thai citizenship after marrying a senior police officer and is believed to be behind a Chinese triad dealing in drugs and other criminal activities. https://www.nationthailand.com/thailand/general/40023752
  12. Yellow INOP stickers. https://twitter.com/galcpmedia/status/1571420764384919558?lang=en The aircraft Azur and Aeroflot are flying to Thailand are owned by Russian companies. I think many of Aeroflot's 767s were leased but recently purchased. Other leased aircraft, aka "stolen" (777/A350), are only used on domestic routes. These Azur aircraft are flying to a lot of places besides THL. MLE, CMB. Yes, I would think those 309 pax on the aborted flight will be extra lubricated for their flight home, with resounding applause once the flight lifts off.
  13. One assumes that the RTP VVIP service, which included a jetway greeting, escort through Imm, help with bags and a walk-through at Customs, might have been a good way to avoid pesky limits?
  14. My favorite part of the video, ~ 1:15, is when he sees the cop behind him change lanes an immediately says "oh <deleted>". Also suprised he only stopped once for gas, that '85 Caddy must be a guzzler.
  15. So the police should provide the public with information about traffic checkpoints: why are they utilized? what should citizens expect? what sort of cooperation is required? what can the police search for? My speculation is that any meth busts are made not via routine traffic checkpoint inspections but based in more detailed information? Traffic checkpoint inspections are NEVER mentioned in articles related to massive meth busts. My further speculation is that most volume meth transport is sanctioned by the authorities. Drugs were never mentioned in the Taiwanese actress kerfuffle, which kicked off this whole checkpoint theatre performance. That seemed to be more about visas or vapes? If you want to be transparent then be transparent about everything, including the need for checkpoints.
  16. I'm inferring that some/many of these individuals served under Surachate when he headed up the Immigration Division? And that they only broke bad when he left?
  17. Confusing policy as the law remains 20,000 baht limit. I guess I'd like to see this newly revealed policy in writing. I understand the intent, at least I think I do, but would like to see the rules in English, and some examples. For instance, have other tourists been detained prior to this new policy? Were they "shaken down"?
  18. The RTP officer known as Larry Lamborghini has possession of the vehicle. So are these alegedly crooked Royal Thai Police part of the lot of 110 "bad apples"? Or in addition to that figure. https://aseannow.com/topic/1285688-110-thai-immigration-police-officers-charged-in-visa-scandal/
  19. I used TurboTax, and eFiled on 25 January 2023. IRS2Go (mobile app) says my Refund is approved and will be sent to my bank on 8 February 2023.
  20. Best take so far.... New 767 Restaurant to open in Phuket Curious how the 309 pax are handled? Stamped back in at Immigration? Then accommodated on other flights? Azur has two scheduled arrivals (from VKO, both 763) today. ZF2907/RA73078 ZF3703/RA73080 Both are delayed. Maybe one of those will be used to fly the stranded pax back home? And deliver spares and techs?
  21. It sounds like there was a serious incident at Phuket (HKT) yesterday involving an Azur Air aircraft, resulting in significant delays. Engine failure on take-off, aborted landing. https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/307457 Translation from Thai aviation website: Phuket hasn't recovered yet!! ️Boeing 767 Azur Air is obstructed and blocked Taxiway⛔️ both in/out flights, we have to wait longer than usual⚠️ Update on the latest situation at 21.50 p.m. On 4 February 2566???? from the Boeing plane incident. Russian Azur Air 767-300ER crashed while taking off Runway09 of Phuket Airport at around 16.55pm. In the past, the plane had to land on the road (Taxiway) along the runway. way️ According to a recent inspection, planes to land and board in Phuket are not available on this route ???? resulting in landing on the runway also having to taxis on the runway to enter the passenger building. This increases the step and time each plane has to wait for landing and take off. เครื่อง There have been accumulated delays in both incoming flights and outbound flights in Phuket. To wait for the runway to be empty and safe ✅ Flight route data images from Flightradar24 แล้ว platform show that planes arriving in Phuket have to wait and wait for a taxi on the way back to the parking area in front of the passenger building, which resulted in further flights waiting for empty runway to land or run longer. Some flights have decided to change routes to backup airports such as Krabi Airport. เส้น️ Azur Air 767 rejected take-off at Phuket, engine catches fire and tires explode https://www.airliners.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1481269&p=23659891 Will be interesting to see how this aircraft is "repaired".
  22. Whoa. He was found guilty of defaming Suthep and Abhisit and sentenced to a one (1) year prison sentence. Ex-DSI chief Tarit given 1-year jail term by Supreme Court for defaming Suthep https://www.thaipbsworld.com/ex-dsi-chief-tarit-given-1-year-jail-term-by-supreme-court-for-defaming-suthep/ Although the article mentions two years. Tarit and three co-defendants were acquitted by the Criminal Court, but the Appeals Court sentenced them to two years each without suspension. The Supreme Court’s verdict is yet to be read due to Tarit’s postponements. Defaming Suthep and his ventroloquist's dummy, probably deserves a reward, and not a prison sentence. Suthep is out on bail now after having been found guilty of Sedition.
  23. It's about weak moral character, a pyramidal societal structure and a society trained to be submissive. It's not about saving money. Just look at the total take.
