There will be countless controls, rules, laws and regulations, both in the near term, and as a result of the Cannabis Control Act. They've already issued orders re: age 20, pregnant women, not annoying the public, no cannabis in schools, halls of justice, Army etc. A new order was issued yesterday, although I can't interpret it. So it's a bit of a wild west show now. Regulating production, product safety, distribution, marketing and sales, tax collection seem like keys to me. I'm no fan but you've got to admire his tenacity. Many would have caved by now, with pressure from religious groups, and doctors.

He can be seen on video saying that the invoice says "Bubble Bath". He's a BJT player from Buriram, heavily invested in the Cannabis industry here; an old Thaksin crony. And not the first shipment, curious why this was stopped. It was reported in the Thai media that it was 9.5 Kg, so Twenty-One One Pound packages. $4,000/lb in the U.S. (Cookies price, plus CA taxes), gets sold here for 700 - 950 per gram. Widely available online and in shops, for now anyway.

I have physically examined several in person, and viewed a lot via LINE stores. They are in original packaging, with valid control codes, and California triangle. A package was intercepted yesterday at Suvarnabhumi. So just stop. These importing efforts are being managed by powerful groups/people. You can even find vape carts/disposables from the U.S.

Yes, illegal to export from the U.S. Import into Thailand may be possible if following allt he regulations. The chap who got clipped yesterday at Suvarnabhumi (9.5 Kg/21 pounds) had the package labelled "Christmas Decorations". Yes, most of the quality cannabis here is domestically grown using imported seedstocks. But there is quite a large amount of Cannabis illegally imported from the U.S. being sold here. Mostly from California and Washington state. I've seen a dozen + brands here (Cookies, Connected Cannabis, Stiizy), and it is marketed as "imported" with per gram prices in the 650 - 900 range. I assume cohorts in the U.S are legally buying pounds, say from Cookies ($4,000 plus CA taxes which are ~ 17-ish %), then air-freighting those to Thailand. There is a glut in the U.S. and a pent-up demand market here, able to resell ultra-high quality flower.

Yes, I understand how hash is processed. I was merely exercising an opinion on how the authorities might view such a product. I haven't seen any retail outlets offering it. I'd even put something like Live Rosin in the extraction bucket.

I think it would be considered an extract and therefore iilegal.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCQQHw9gNnE I think they guy who got caught is a member of the Bhumjai Thai party. Mr. Julapas Kruesophon is considered an important political business maker of the Bhumjaithai Party. Play a key role in driving the party, both taking care of the party and filling the political game with ammunition. Was commissioned to be a leader in the development of the Buriram model. Expanding tourism with cannabis policies before turning to a full-time marijuana capitalist Both operating a giant cannabis company in Thailand and creating a small brand of cannabis for sale as a franchise. It is considered an important piece on the political board of Ban Yai Buriram. Because in 2018, the Pride Thai Party was launched Mr. Tom is great. As a political super-connector who is a close friend of Thaksin Shinawatra and Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan, it is the Bhumjaithai Party's branding strategy. maverick ready to be friendly to all parties Before the party leader joined the party to shake hands with the party leader who had a coup and raised his hand to vote "Prayut Chan-ocha" to be the current prime minister.

There is a lot of cannabis which has been imported from the U.S. to Thailand. You can find it quite easily on FB, and LINE. I am fairly sure that this is illegal to export from the U.S., and is illegal to import into Thailand. It seems like someone got caught importing (air freight I assume) 9.5 Kg at Suvarnabhumi. And this case caught the eye of commission chairman Supachai Jaisamut. I think he gave a brief presser today on this matter. Supachai, a member of the Bhumjai Thai Party list, as chairman of the Extraordinary Committee on the draft of the Marijuana Hemp Act, pointed out that it is illegal to import "flower bouquets" of marijuana into Thailand. https://www.thairath.co.th/news/politic/2455621?fbclid=IwAR1GzivqzaSeFzajazuB-3tR1yoYwZOZvnRKAGC0paNS0ZFwC88CZoInhKo Customs has filed a complaint against "Tom Krue Sophon" for illegally importing "flower bouquets" of marijuana into Thailand. July 26 : from the case that Mr. Tom Kruea Sophon recorded a clip of importing cannabis bouquets from the United States into Thailand and said that he could order and show the documents for shipping into Thailand. Recently, the Director-General of the Customs Department revealed that the Customs Department officials at Suvarnabhumi Airport A product was detected indicating the recipient's name was Mr. Tom. which falsely declares that it is a steel product But from the investigation, it was found that 9.5 kg of marijuana was considered an offense against two laws, namely the Plant Quarantine Act and the Customs Act. Prepare to send information to investigators. for further legal proceedings.

Yes, some nine million Thais registered as (potential, not claiming all of these have a solid business plan) growers via the PlookGanja app/web site. I feel (right now) like personal use may survive, but with quite a few restrictions. Of course if someone goes on a murderous rampage and they are said to have been high on Cannabis then we can kiss that goodbye. The CCA simply empowers the formation of other control mechanisms, from a few dozen government agnecies. At least that's what a version of the first draft I read said. It is then up to those agencies, boards to issue regulations on anything from seed to sale and beyond.

From the linked article... “This current situation doesn’t cause so many problems for society and youth that they are beyond government control. However, the Committee will accelerate and proceed with the marijuana draft law consideration as soon as possible. I believed the consideration will be completed by the end of this month. Then, the draft will be submitted to the council for approval,” the chairman added. TPN notes this appears to shut down any immediate requests to shut down, suspend, or reverse the decriminalization of marijuana in Thailand for now.

Regulations regarding limits on sale/use - 20 YO, pregnant women, public use were, food warnings were issued 16 June 2022, a week after the original premiere. Not stupid per se. I think ultimately if recreational use continues, and I'm 50-50 on this, there will be many more constraints and restrictions. Particularly on the growing/wholesaling and retailing side. Formal business registraions, VAT collection and remittance, etc. I can see restrictions for online ordering and delivery. Anutin continues to be admamant about "medical use only". But I'm not sure if he is sincere, or merely obfuscating. He may now mean that any personal use is OK, and that personal use should only be for "medical" reasons. Medically, I want to feel better so...puff, puff, puff. Need to see what the CCA looks like after gazetting.

You do realize that by posting this sort of comment you appear to be ignoring your own advice? There's a word for that. And feel free to follow up with the tens of thousands of Thais posting on social media about cannabis. Oh, and get to work hectoring those Nine Million Thais who registered to grow Cannabis on the Plookganja app/site.

Oh, that old chestnut. The possession and sale of cannabis extracts containing more than 0.2% of its psychoactive ingredient, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), is not allowed. "Extracts". I thought that we were past this hurdle with most members. I clearly see there is more work to do. Yes, I'll stipulate that ultimately recreational use, now currently "Not Illegal", may be become Illegal.

Clearly I am missing something here, but hundreds of links have been posted here since 9 June 2022 and PrikPot is an official forum sponsor. https://prikpot.com/ I have purchased quite a bit of Cannabis including in shops in Bangkok: Sukhumweed, Taratera, Chopaka. There are at least a hundred physical shops selling Cannabis in Thailand. I feel like I missed some huge announcement.

Thanks. That TAT article is incorrect.

Is this the new Royal Queen Seeds shop? They are due to open on 30 June 2022, and while they are Amsterdam based, I'm not sure if they'll be selling flower, or providing space to smoke? Maybe it's in the Cannabis Eperience Centre? See graphic below. I did see something about this place called No Man's Land. 1375 Charoenkrung Road, Silom, Bangrak, Bangkok, Thailand 10500 Hidden roof top & Sky bar 5th floor at Charoeun Krung https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfeyqoTABRk

Can you provide an attribution for this quote? Currently, as of today and since 9 June 2022, and until the CCA is Gazetted, assuming it stipulates the recreational use is forbidden, the current de facto policy is that recreational use is NOT illegal. Yes, policies forbidding public consumption where the smoke is an annoyance for the general public, and use by "lactating women" and those under 20, have been Gazetted. But maybe you know something that the rest of us do not? https://coconuts.co/bangkok/news/no-not-even-thonglor-police-will-bust-anyone-for-weed-chief/

Your "takeway" is incorrect. Recreational use is NOT illegal. Current drafts of this act neither ban nor allow recreational use, implicitly or otherwise. By not mentioniong it, it would therefore remain legal. That could change in the future, once the Cannabis Control Act passes Parliament and is Gazetted. And all the organizations tasked with creating rules and regulations could, essentially ban recreational use. I feel like it's 50-50 right now. But I reserve the right to change my mind as frequently as necessary.

There is some pressure to restrict cannabis usage to solely medical, and make it illegal for recreational use. https://aseannow.com/topic/1266891-thai-doctors-say-marijuana-is-a-danger-to-society-call-for-immediate-liberalization-u-turn/ The Deputy Director-General of Thai Traditional Medicine has pushed back on this group of doctors, so that's good. I feel like its 50-50 right now, but they may defer this out the Cannabis Control Act and designate it, and other rules, regulations and controls, to some government agency/ministry. The best hope would be that the CCA is delayed owing to a dissolution of Parliament. But that seems less likely now based on the results of the No-Confidence debate/vote(s). For those who say the genie is out of the bottle, I'd say this is Thailand where there is no real limit on authority.

Cannabis club for swapping seeds and clones
bamnutsak replied to Vampyteuthis's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
I think you can still find some unique landrace plants and seeds. There seem to be various regions with unique characteristics: North/Chiang Mai, East/Northeast: Nakhon Phanom. Koh Chang. The government designated four strains with National Heritage. https://bloom.express/thai-government-approved-strains/ I've been looking for some landrace flowers, but I want to get them from a curator with a reliable provenance. So far chased down a few leads, came close on one but was sold out. There is a limited growing season dictated by the rainy/dry season and lengthy veg and flowering stages here. And yields are quite low. I think the THC content is a lot lower than people imagine or remember, but the effects are highly desireable. https://www.doa.go.th/pvp/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/AnnoDOA_Public241.pdf Obviously Thai landrace is the basis for many (hundreds? thosuands?) of current popular hybrid strains. -
Which device? From thevapeshopth? I purchased a Flowermate Cap from them, delivered within a few days. It's a nice unit, quite small, portable and discrete. Works well, great exctration even on lowest temp. Recommended but watch Youtube reviews first to make sure it will satisy your needs.
