Very good idea by the experts that lead this country, they know the Farang mindset and a Blue Zone is like an open prison, Farangs will not wander far from a bar.

Go see an Agent for your friend, it might be possible to have it sorted out with no need to go to the Airport with an overstay, I know for a fact that years ago this was a possibility, I don't know now, but an Agent will know and may have the connections, don't go to an Immigration office in person. I Like your style Oishi, May I suggest the bars could stay open with no alcohol sales, Heineken 0.0 Alcohol free beer could be served, looks like beer, tastes like beer, it just doesn't get people drunk, there are enough problems in life without adding Alcohol fueled Farangs squabbling over Grandma, spluttering and wheezing all sorts of Alcohol free germs into the Air, nasty. Yes, 7Eleven and other convenience stores could join the movement by refusing any sales of Alcohol, also may I recommend smoking is banned too, it stinks, kills people and it's the most stupid pointless drug ever to acquire Addicts, should be banned immediately, and people who are caught smoking during the ban are thrown in Jail for stupidity. ???? Plenty of Western girls were working in Hostess Bars in Japan years ago making a huge amount in Tips, going out with customers etc. drunken males like to impress when they have had a few. Japanese High School girls go on paid dating. U.S. girls often pay for College dancing, waitressing etc, those tips add up.

It's kind of strange that the people that complain that the bars might be closed are the same people that complain about Thais getting together for New Year. Alcoholic Mongers will always find something to moan about, Thailand needs me, Thailand needs Tourists, you don't give a <deleted>, as long as you personally are not affected , you couldn't give a <deleted> what happens to Thailand, go to bars in your own country if they are open, get alcohol poisoning in the comfort of your own hovel, I think they should close down the bars for at least 3 months, then open again for songkhran, then shut down again after. Last time I was in a bar it was full of drunk, arrogant Farang a-holes, I couldn't stay longer than 5 minutes, the stench of self importance was too much to bear, I finished my Soda water and left wondering what their grandchildren would think of them could they see them slobbering drunkenly over economically disadvantaged poor girls, the back slapping boasting about how this old man got a girl for the price of 2 packs of cigarettes and a beer ' Back Home'. When alcohol is involved in the equation, common sense has a way of being absent in many cases, but who is really to blame, The drinker ? The Government for taxing it even though it kills Millions ? They still keep selling it as long as it's taxed, no matter how many Millions are affected, governments around the world allow Alcohol and Tobacco because they make so much money by taxing them, the fact that they Kill around 9 Million a year, it's all about Money, nobody in Power cares about the people. I mean in 2022 people still smoke cigarettes, with all that people know, the damage to body, the anti social nature of smoking, the stink of it, that's the one that really gets to me, informed people still smoke, crazy. The cost to society means nothing, they just look at the bottom line, if governments make more than they lose, legalize it and tax it to high heaven.

And what about the 1.5 Million DUI's in the USA and 80,000 Drunk Driving arrests in Uk in England and Wales alone, the Thais have an excuse according to you, what about the Educated West with plenty of critical thinking, harsh penalties and active Police Forces ? Got any answers ? What's their excuse ?
