What’s the big deal about Sunday? Most living here are retired. I know that every day is a Sunday for me

Just a thought.
He may not require one, I believe there’s a decent number of Indians that have Thai citizenship

Have you approached the sell to discuss vendor financing? Much better rates than a bank loan and the mortgage can be registered on the chanote

In my opinion, the biggest mistake you can make with a Thai woman, is treat her like a western woman.Do not think equality, and all that bs you are led to beliieve in the west. You have to take control, tell dont ask (mostly) be the dominant male, let her be the woman,. Feminine etc.
Thats how they were brought up (mostly).
Thats why so many men come here, because thats what they actually want, thats how it used to be for generations. ???? until all that feminist equal rights BS got out of control.
I chose my wife as she is reasonbly independant and she wasn't looking for someone to guide her through life. She is inquisitive, can be head strong, earns her own money and insulates me from 'taking care' of the family. But, as stated, she still likes to take the back seat in the decision process regarding home life, and knows what her role is as a wife, she has openly admitted that trying to change this makes her feel uncomfortable.

can we take it from the report that the complainer was factually incorrect in her review? if her report had been accurate would the result have been the same?
Maybe so, but it could have it been handled in a better fashion?

So instead of the whinge being low key and just fading away now a very large audience is aware, it’s as if the restaurant thinks they actually had a win here. I’m not sure if it’s a well thought through marketing campaign……

Proud of being ‘considerate’…… until they’re in a car on the roads or there’s money involved for many, sadly

That was my first thought. I've found both SCB and Bangkok Bank "sensible" by Thai standards.
I found SCB & Kasikorn sensible, BBL the worst. Standard thai inconsistency, mate ????????♂️

My Thai wife came from a fairly wealthy family. I met her in my country when she was in graduate school. Her family, Mom & Dad, gave us a house. We also bought some other houses in her name over the years. After she passed away from cancer the houses were all put in our luk krung children's names as they have Thai citizenship. We rent them out and have a relative staying in one, on a very inexpensive lease, as neither of the children who are grown up live in Thailand.
Sad to hear of your loss and thanks for sharing, great to hear another story of some positivity regarding thai property and marriage

I know a guy that just moved to Pratumnak from Canada he talked to a girl online for over one year, never met her but sent her money and they bought a 3 million b condo in her name. They are living together now.
So yes, good advise to buy a house or condo in Thai wife's or gf name, it seems to work out for the best.
My personal experience is certainly not financial advice ????

It was initially listed @ 7, came down to 6 then we negotiated for 5. it sat for 12 months after the build and we bought in 2020 so I’d say coronavirus played a part.
We vendor financed. 3mil baht deposit with 1mil over 3 years @ 2% with a 1mil balloon at the end. The vendor came to us inside a year asking for the balloon payment early as they needed money to plow into their plastic factory, I negotiated a further 300000฿ discount.
I paid the final amount owing last month, a year early. Worked well for us.
I understand people’s reservations with purchasing in their wife’s name but it comes down to a case by case basis.
My wife comes from a genuinely good family, no children & University educated. I married her when She was 25 years old and paid no sin sod. Intellectually we are on a similar level and we share the same outlook on life and the future, and she puts me first. Before herself, before mum & dad, before friends.
She’s hands down the best woman I’ve ever met in any country. 4 years together now and I’ve never been happier- 6

you are right....i am aproaching my 50 infew years...so I have few years to party....but in my old years I am definately looking for some remote living, having a house and garden with fruit trees..that is my dream....may I ask where is your location aproximately?
I’m only 44 but I’m certainly over the bar scene. I was I Pratumnak then I bought a house with my wife in Huay Yai. Little bit of land, pool, decent garage, and only 25mins from LK Metro should it take my fancy.
400m2 land, 145m2 3 bed, 3bath house 4.65m down from 7m. Best thing I’ve done since living in Thailand- 1

Was this one implant with one tooth or one implant to cover a couple?
If you don't mind me asking what was the cost?
One implant with one crown. The initial cost was 54000 baht but I needed a bone graft (I think it was called) as it has been infected for quite some time and damaged the bone, this added 15000 to the cost. The price also included a plate with a fakey so I didn’t look like a dead beat, well less than usual anyway
It was done over a period of 3 or 4 months, all included in the initial quote, and the service and care I felt was as good as I’ve had anywhere in the past in Aus
You can certainly get cheaper but I figured it’s my front tooth and I hope it’ll be there for some time with no issues so the little extra cost gave me some reassurance, placebo effect or not doesn’t matter to me -

I started moving to a much higher than usual cash position in September/October ‘21 as I thought the writing was on the wall. Paid my house off, my only debt, and ensured I have at least 3 years living costs transferred to Thailand at around 24฿/AUD to hedge against any serious foreign exchange movements.
Now it’s just a matter of how long and deep this bear will run. I’m not buying into the end of the world as many are calling for. Consumers will continue to consume, supply chain pressure will relax eventually and the energy crisis will abate. Just gotta strap in, reassess my budget, trim some frivolous spending and wait it out.- 9

I do but ive got all this junk.
I sold my house, gave my car and furniture to my mum, sold my Duc, stored all my tools with her as well and ditched just about everything else. It was one of the most exhilarating and personally fulfilling things I have ever done.
Arrived in Thailand with the thoughts of renting only, everything, and living a bare bones life. That lasted 2 and a half years haha now married, bought a house, bought another Duc, got a drift car and bought a new daily recently.
You can, and most likely will, accumulate more junk. Learn to let go, life takes on a whole new leaving releasing yourself from baggage -

When I upgraded my headlights , the shop that did it added something else , like a little box , something to do with the strength of the new lights.
Sorry I can't be of any more help , it was a long time ago.
I will try and take a photo of it all tomorrow.
I’m guessing they installed a relay with a direct feed to the lights from the battery, switched by the standard headlight switch and loom. It makes quite the difference giving the bulbs a ‘clean’ power feed

I recently had an implant done at Dental Design on Pattaya 10 2nd Road. I was very happy with the service and professionalism during the whole experience.
Maybe a little more expensive than many ‘budget’ clinics but it’s my mouth, it’s gonna be there a long timethe Dental Design Center -

My only experience in recent times: A mate was here on visa exempt, left 7 days late to Japan for 2 months. He returned the October 3, exempt again and no questions were asked of him on being stamped in at Suvarnabhum
Obviously it’s up to the IO, just passing on info
