If I was to build a house here, I would cover the outside with 6" styrofoam, cover that with mesh, and stucco over top. Use White roof tiles. Spray the roof tiles in the attic with PU foam to 6" . Powervent the Attic, and ensure roof overhangs stop direct sunlight from striking the building - ala standard Australian practice. Deep well would provide cool water, pumped thru the building to aid in temperature regulation if necessary. Electric baseboard supplemental heat for the cold season. Energy costs would be surprisingly low I believe. Stop the heat from entering, or leaving as the season may be.

I had the same problem. Explaining how the law works in my own home country. Beating your head against the wall. For what it costs, and what little time is involved in getting one, seems foolhardy to not get an IDP before International Travel.

Never lived anywhere near a race track - drag racing was my thing. Bikes first, then cars, then both. Lots of fun.

For what little effort it requires, whatever country your DL is from, why would you not get one ? Better to have it and not need it - than need it and not have it. No brainer for me

On my list too when the Salt Mine finally over - or I stop getting contracts I can't refuse - build a Hot Rod here

Did it ever come as a 2 door ?

Different DLT have different requirements ...
In CNX, sold a HD to a guy from Hua Hin. He wanted to have a Hua Hin plate on it - same as his other bikes.
Took the bike to DLT, they inspected the serial numbers, confirmed they matched the Green book.
Supplied the buyer with all the transfer paperwork, which he took with him to Hua Hin.
Paid me the money after paperwork approved.
If you buy from a dealer in BKK they should do the transfer for you. When we went to buy the Teana the seller did everything. I paid the money and picked up the car with Blue book in my name.

it is for the children, teenagers, low class and low educated adult thais and various foreign idiots.
educated, middle/upper class thais dislike and avoid what songkran has become as much as the rest of us normal people
If - judging by the post above - you consider yourself normal, my sympathies.
From a Hi Class, Well Educated, person - not an arrogant, ignorant, talking-above-my-station stick-in-the-mud.

Same with Songkran. I am a prisoner in my own room because I choose not to play water games at Songkran but the streets are full of people who deny me the option of going out and exercising my right to go freely on my way without a soaking with cold water.
Horse Hockey. You would deny other people their right to participate in a Thai festival - in Thailand - and P and M about your rights ? You have the right to stay, or go somewhere else. The right to partake, or the right to Whine and Snivel on a public internet forum. 'Oh Poor Me' Pathetic

Have your eyes checked by an eye doctor, not a high street optician, whose only motivation is to flog you eye wear. And get a prescription from him.

Do not know if fake or not. Wife said the sign read that actual radar will follow the sign erection and speed display/warning lights. Just want to warn the drivers before implementation. True - not True - ??? That being said I have heard from people who were heading north from Lampang to Chiang Mai and received a ticket in the mail. So some photo radar already deployed.
-
Also on the 118 road. My understanding - the signs are erected first, as a warning. Cameras to follow.

And of course they drive on the wrong side of the road over there,
Seeing as how we do not carry swords, and highwaymen are not the problem they once were, the rest of the world - including N. America, drives on the right side of the road, both figuratively and literally.

Why do you doubt that too ? It's been officially imported by Honda for the last two years.

To judge by what little info is out there, and a quick look at the calendar - I imagine it will be full of electronics. The world nowadays seems to need this as a mark of 'newness' or 'sophistication' And as the curb weight of the CRF is 144kg hoping that is is less than 170kg seems doubtful.
I like my 2017 CRF - it does exactly what I bought it for - and I run 17's. Knobbies never been on the road. For street bikes I have other, better suited rides. One size fits all ends up fitting nobody.

Saying country A is not doing enough ... country B is a leading contributor ... half a brain says it can not be good to pump and dump all this garbage into the atmosphere and the ocean. We all live on the same planet - pointing fingers without admitting your responsibility is wrong. ALL of our responsibilities. But - as ever - the Golden Rule remains. Especially in politics.

You want security men to act like social workers. I'd rather they acted like security men and kicked ass when necessary - for the good of everyone.

Bought my Dyna 10 years ago in Pattaya - BKK plate. Lived Hua Hin, Phuket, Krabi, Rayong, Udon Thani, CNX. Still has the same BKK plate. Update book and pay road tax every year in different provinces no problem. Never gone to a BKK DLT ever.
