LOL. The U.S. is supposed to send personalized vaccines to each citizen in every other country?. Wow, talk about entitlement syndrome.
.... so, the embassy workers are all being vaccinated in local hospitals? Nobody is asking for free vaccinations from embassies. Look at it this way, it is a way of supporting the governments of the countries the embassies are in, that haven't the capabilities or the will to vaccinate their foreign guests. If there is a will, there is a way and for once you will to have a reason to pat your backs at the next cocktail party.

an hour? Often much more than one hour.
.... here in Phuket it's actually 2 days you have to visit the "competent officials" to get an extension.

This is because Thailand does not have a central database for foreigners residing in the kingdom, with data spread across multiple agencies.
Wow....... where are our zillions of photocopies going to????? Anyway..... good news and let's hope the registration process will run smoothly......

Unfortunately, no-one has learned, that foreigners are a vital part of the GDP of Thailand. Instead of stopping this nonsense of double pricing, they keep on adding on top of things. The government should set an example to their countrymen and stop this. The average taxi driver thinks: “If my government does this, why can’t I?” Please stop the greediness!!

'Almost no concrete measures were reported by 77kaoded in a flimsy report.'
I can solve that for them.
1. Proper driving test.
2. Proper policing.
A quick look at YouTube should provide examples of both from countries where life is important. They don't even need to get out of bed to do that.
... a very efficient way would be to replace regular tires with solid tires instead of fines, which the majority can not pay anyway.

Actually, it‘s good news..... it‘s the Chinese serum I‘m worried about. Will we have a choice as to which vaccine we could get?
-
Wouldn‘t it be wiser to give all Thais some sort of a decent drivers education to start off with?? ????
-
Fascinating!! The timing is just right!!
-
I have no problem paying for the vaccine. I do have a problem, if they begin ripping us of for it!!
-
I would immediately approve of this adventure, if the current so-called president of the USA would be the first human in a Thai rocket on this mission and make his supporters pay for it!! Then and only then would I give my approval!!
-
The priorities they have here are fascinating!!

Now the Nobel Peace Prize gets a whole new meaning. Next thing you know, Hannity and this judge lady at Fox will be awarded a prize for true journalism!! I shake my head and silently weep!!

So if book a flight for six months time I have to prove I’m covid free now?
I hope I’ve misunderstood this. If not this is the most moronic thing I’ve heard so far...
What a joke.
Exactly what am thinking. Tourists book months in advance to get a better deal on airfare. Now they will have to book within a week or two before boarding a flight and pay horrendous prices. Imagine a family...... Please think it over!!

I ask myself everyday "How does this country keep on working?" Causing mass confusion by the hour. I truly feel sorry for these people wanting to go back to their provinces.
-
In short...... no lessons learned. It‘s just scary and very sad ????

..... and no lessons learned.... I wish the world would put pressure on China, so that viruses in the future can not be spread to other countries. After the pandemic is before the next pandemic!!

Alcoholism is a self-inflicted disease and not the governments problem like Corona virus is.
If alcoholics die from stop drinking then who is to blame? Please don't blame the government.
Keep the alcohol ban and watch the number of traffic deaths decline.
.... and domestic violence will surge

The tinting of glass is unsafe. This has been mentioned many times before. To add to this discussion, it is also unsafe for following traffic. The third brake light in the rear window was installed for a reason. Continuously driving behind a black wall without seeing through the windows of the car in front of you is also unsafe. Keeping a safe distance is not an option here in Thailand, cars will just pass you and skip into the space in front of you. In short, everything that has anything to do with road safety here is practically nonexistent. Sad, but true!

No matter if the Chinese tourists will come back, or not. Most of us are happy at the moment that we can breathe freely, without these unsafe and stinking tour buses on the streets here in Phuket!!
Thai police seize dozens of bikes and modified exhausts in road racer crackdown

This is not something, that happens just once in a while. It's a major nuisence because the majority of kids have manipulated exhaust systems. Sure, we were kids too and did a lot of foolish things, but we always had respect of the police.
