It might be best to take your motorbike, if you do not necessarily need to use the car. Might be an option, because there are definitely to many cars on the roads in Phuket anyway!!

How about banning all motorbikes in Thailand..That would really reduce
road deaths...If banning all motorbikes saves lives they should be banned
tomorrow...

..... just imagine everyone driving a car. Driver's education and discipline!! Just stop this "I've got to be first" attitude!!

My confidence would be boosted if it were announced that an international team was being mobilized to manage the air safety oversight situation, perhaps under a 2 year contract. It would be money well spent to avoid a down-rating. Unfortunately for the Thai officials, this would be an admission of the obvious. So bring in the Air Force...because they have planes.

I agree, that this would be the ideal solution. This problem is way too great to be solved by only Thailand!!

Yea, they are "pulling out" of the American market because the US is banning them because of safety concerns. That is the real story.

Now if the government would let a private entity run the railroads as well as the airline they might actually get better. But the unions are strong. The government is between a rock and a hard place.

If that's the case they've got a problem. If the US bans then the EU probably won't be far behind.

.... not to mention the Thai DCA-Management. They are a big part of the problem!!
