Thanks for those replies:  I thought I will update this thread after my Chiang Mai immigration visit yesterday ;

the bank letter does not have to be the same day I apply for the extension but the bank book needs too, so i Left Chiang Mai immigration and went to the bank ( 30 minutes walk) to get it updated. This was not the case last year. 

Another change this year was, with my reporting address form that my condo juristic provided ( the tm 30 ) I had to go to the 3rd floor for them to check it, they Reissued me their official tm30 notification, stapled The 3rd floor checked her computer and return my condo juristic form back to me and I returned back to the 2nd floor.

With the new updated bank book and 3rd floor running around , I got my extension and re entry in 3 hours .

Final note:

sometime back, I asked the forum regarding the income method with regards if pension documentation source is needed. he said that if you do not have a pension document , just show your foreign assets where the 65k originated . I asked them since I do not have a pension , he said your foreign asset statement is good in lieu of a pension letter .

If I get my bank letter and bank statement on Friday feb 22 and go to Chiang Mai immigration on Monday feb 25th,

is it acceptable this year . I had done this prior years but I have read on this forum that immigration wants the bank letter and updated bank book on the same day as I submit to Chiang Mai immigration . I appreciate any feedback from those that applied recently and feel free to add any comments . Thanks

sorry if if this is covered , besides the transfer of  65kmonthly from foreign to Thai bank , do I need to provide proof(letter ) that it came from pension which I do not have , I am merely moving funds from my savings 

For those USA account holders that use a ach to Bangkok bank NY, are we now going to use swift instead after April 1St 2019  , my Bbk Thai account currently shows ftt today so we are good till eom March . Should I even try ach again after april 1st to see if it will fail before using swift?

Hope their solution to bike smog can be also be applied in cnx.

For those who have regular month transfers from USA bank/brokerage to Thai bank, has your USA bank/brokerage ever question your residency as they frown on Usa bank/brokerage with overseas residency . I am checking out this concern of mine before I start my monthly transfer for the retirement income requirement , hate for my USA bank to close my account to solve this retirement income requirement by Thai immigration . From my understanding , Honda cars have car play like the new Honda Civic , Toyota does not have ( for example ch r) and Mazda will coming out shortly for example cx 3 (no dates yet fpr their recently 2018 models )

Luckily we checked the lite before getting the full version . I do not even have any sound on my iphone

I was advised to check to see if immigration moved their retirement extension process from promo to airport.

I am planning to process my retirement extension next week 2/26 and thought if you all knew their relocation plans. I know at least as of last friday 2/16 they are processing retirement extension at promo per nancyl

In another thread, I was asking for a turnkey solution to have VPN for all my connected devices. Installing VPN on another router is not trivial to make it work well with your current ISP. 

Thanks for your comments. Yeah, i kinda know the above, It would be nice to avoid getting another router with the VPN to connect to the internet. Wishful thinking on my part.

I wonder if anyone has come across an internet provider that can provide me a turnkey solution, interenet service with VPN capabilities.

I was thinking of a router with vpn software already installed that will provide all my router connected devices to have VPN.

I will just pay for the internet and vpn service.

I prefer not to deal with installing vpn siftware (flash) on the router provided by internet provider (if compatible) or buy another router that has the vpn software installed.

I am open to other suggestions . Thanks for your replies.

To my surprise, the free shuttle to Central Festival has a new notice that states ONLY for hotel guest.

I have been using these free shuttle from Nimman to the central mall, can anyone suggest the least cost way to get there since I am not a hotel guest.

I just arrived with O-A visa 1 year retirement visa (with multiple entries)

My enter before date is April 15 th 2016.

If I leave Thailand next year in March 15 2016 and return April 14, 2016 , I know my admitted until date will be updated to April 13, 2017 on my passport stamp. I have been traveling lately and I noticed my admitted date has been pushed a year whenever I return back to Thailand .

Do I then just apply for the re- entry visit multiple (3800 baht ) when I return April 14th 2016?

My goal is to continue staying in Thailand after my first retirement visa o-a 1 year visa expires April 15, 2016. Thanks for your response

A month ago, I applied for the residency certificate . I think the guy was not happy that I did not pay the 500 baht since I did not need it urgently . When I pick it up last week, he said that the next time I need a cert , I cannot apply here and to go the consulate . Perhaps I misunderstand or I got schooled for not paying . Btw, how does one know to confirm the 3 months validity of the certificate instead of precious 1 month .
