And, the bank letter must be dated the same day as you apply correct? Basically the bank needs to date it ahead of time.

I have noticed Thai folks become very suspicious easily and assume much if you are concerned about privacy matters or do not wish to speak Thai with them..

To add to the comment about MOE not cracking down... Well, apparently MOE is beginning to deny teachers a temporary license even if you do have a degree and had a previous work permit with a prior school.

I'm on my last license and was told I may not be able to get another. What options do those wanting to teach and HAVE a degree to do if denied for a temporary license by the MOE?

Are Work Permit agencies a last option if one were to wish to continue on a work permit within a school?

Poor character and unprofessionalism  among many Thai teachers here is not only normal but seems taboo to talk about.

So it seems some folks are getting an added 30 days then asked to come back for an additional 60. However, some are getting 90 all at once.

Any updates on this?

I too have studied dogs. Sometimes they put their tail down. He works here too though. Damn, they are all about 'making a wrong a right.' Petty, in my view.

But IMO, it is still a big inconvenience to not be able to bring in me own drink.

One day all these corruption stories will stop and there will be no more corruption.

I do not believe the western retirement visa holders is any burden to the country, but I believe the migrant workers is running from the hospital bills, and that we had to pay for.

I agree with the the first two statements.

The ending smells of conservative, often republican 'logic.' Blame 'our' expenses on migrants. "Hey what is there over there?!"
