Also down tk what parents want.
I don't want Philippino teachers or indians teachers
I don't even like Canadian or American teachers
I want English teachers with English accents teaching my kids
I am not into all this ethnic rubbish
My kid has an American accent now and i an not happy
School blames it on cartoons which is absolute rubbish
I watched cartoons and i don't have an american accent..
Before she started with an Irish accent when she had an Irish teacher
But when the Americans and the canadians came in it enhanced their American accent words
Things like saying garage rather than rubbish
Saying zee rather than zed
Plus i only like white teachers
American English is the best by far mate. Should be proud of your son for speaking it clearly! BTW do yourself a favor and get a dicktionary. No worries, I posted one for ya.
Whew..glad I didn't hear you say that in front of me.

CBD and THC Oils are available at this clinic. THC IS Psychoactive, CBD is none psychoactive. Alot of people are getting confused with CBD and THC, along with Hemp and Cannabis. Hemp” is a term used to classify varieties of Cannabis that contain 0.3% or less THC content. Marijuana is a term used to classify varieties of Cannabis that contain more than 0.3% THC (by dry weight) and can induce psychotropic or euphoric effects on the user.
I'd like to add that the CBD oil also has a slightly bitter taste

And how come they let him board the flight in the UK with no VISA and no return ticket?
What if you took off the facial hair? Would that help him look 'pretty'? ????

It goes both ways, both sides have their fair share of such behavior. This particular story, had to be a sight to see and 'hit the face hard' as far as 'Thainess' goes.
-
This kinda snaky behavior especially with family included seems, IMO, to happen more frequently among Asian countries. At least there seems to be more stories in the news about such matters more often, here.

Here are some more fact, why not to forget to blame THAIS
1. The most teaching agencies are hiring teachers, do not help for get a work permit.
2. Many good Filipino teachers with all the proper documents getting not hired because,
the many school require only native speakers. I have seen many of the native speakers with many hard to under standing dialects. That is why I think it is stupid, not to hire Filipino teachers.
3. There is a lot of money under the table involved.
4. Of course there are some foreigners they do that, but as a matter of fact Thailand is social political still in stone age. The government wants to be a global player, but when you look how inhuman they treat foreigners waiting for deportation. That is so disgusting. All the world talk about North Korea, and how the torture prisoners, but why nobody talks about Thailand and how they do not care about human rights.
I generally agree with your post, except #3. Many schools/parents prefer a native English speaker. Let's be honest, the best pronunciations and continual error free spoken grammar will be from native speakers.
Although, there are many positives to say about why schools enjoy hiring 'good' Filipino teachers, I think one unspoken reason they are in abundance at some schools is unlike western teachers in general, I would say Filipino teachers are afraid to 'rock the boat' with Thais or to 'ignore' the gossip amongst Thai teachers. This helps them, especially being another Asian collective culture. That and they cost less and conform better to 'Thainess.' Just my thoughts.

Pathumthani, compared to other immigration offices, seems to be quite by the books and more difficult than others. Maybe I'm mistaken but from what I see, experienced, and heard, it seems to be so. Yeah that 1k for the home visit is super shady.

Is it illegal to live in Thailand on those visas? Not everyone are married/old enough to get the retirement visa or dumb enough to pay a tons of money for a elite visa. As long as he is not working illegally, are a criminal etc there shouldn't be a problem, people that spend money should been treated like a criminals, time the Thai immigration starts to require background check from home country and show you have money from that are earned not in Thailand so they can continue live here on whatever visa they want as there are no options for those.
One day the might hit the retirees harder and most of you will moan, some if you guys thinks they because you have retirement visa means you are immune to be affected, no you are not.
Talk about the "Debbie Downer" post of the 2019...

Yes, I'm happy with that and will apply for my card soon. However exciting for me will be when we can freely grow any genetic and large scale hemp farming. Right now it looks more like what politician do. They try to control something that they don't fully understand.
Yeah. I'm curious as to the paper work that will be needed regarding the allowance of growing it at home. Including details particular to foreigners if at all, along with selling it. ????

Maybe it will cause a higher demand in Native English speakers along with better pay. I'd like to see that, of course.
I think of course it's worth it. It's a positive effort to improve the general English ability of the country particularity students in the future. Can schools foster such positive environments for both well-paid teachers and motivation for the students were are strong academically. Sounds good and is good but will it really happen, probably, not significantly.

lol. Dude, get off your high horse. While admittedly there are some uncouth foreigners in Thailand, the majority are well intentioned and of much higher caliber than other party destinations around the globe. Thailand is a vacation "hot spot", well-established "party island". Go to any party island on planet Earth( Hawaii, Ibiza, Cancun Mexico ) and you will always find your fare share of the "Girls Gone Wild" crowd. I challenge you to take a trip to Cancun, Mexico and observe how rowdy the American tourists get, especially the women. You haven't partied until you've partied with Americans. Russians are relatively tame in comparison. A little exhibitionism / drunken streaking while browsing yachts is no biggie. Grab some Duck Butter and chill. https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=duck butter
What is that post..some kinda twisted way to self promote your forum profile name?
On another note, I for one, would only like the 'cream of the crop' as far as falangs entering Thailand goes. As they said, "Bad guys out, good guys..how much you have in your wallets?" It's one thing to be up on a 'high horse' but it's another to actually be riding the horse.

Back in the real world there are way more many Thais doing crazier things daily but of course that's not splashed all over whatever to feed the bad foreigner narrative of the current Govt.
Yes, I believe this not only is the norm in Asia but seems to be the norm more often in Europe along with the states as their is anti-foreigner and xenophobic rhetoric that appeals to many people profoundly. Silly and sad is the man who focuses their political views on the such. IMO.

No problem to get.

I agree "It has been required everywhere for years" is a "broad statement." You should accept that. Then a poster goes on to say "Exactly.." Well, maybe for those offices you have had experience with.
On 11/16/2019 at 7:04 AM, Moonlover said:That's a bit of a broad statement if ever there was one! How would you possibly know it's required everywhere?
As far as my own experience goes, I've done 4 marriage extensions in 2 different offices and this last one, in August, was the first time I've been asked for one.
Agree with your second sentence however.
On 11/16/2019 at 7:57 AM, Moonlover said:I also read TVF, it's where I learned most of the extension related requirements. The requirement for Khor Lor 2 has popped up on a few occasions. and as I said, I was only asked for this for the first time on my 4th extension and others have also made similar statements, some quite recently.
I do not recall the 'vast member (sic) of posters mentioning this'. Had been aware I would surely have inquired about it. As it was, I didn't even know what it was until this last August. Fortunately, my wife did know.
Have a nice day.
Yeah, what we have here is immigration not always being uniform in their demands as far as paperwork goes. I too, read good information regarding immigration on here and one thing is for sure, things are again, not always 'uniform' when dealing with these people. TIT ????????????

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I guess I was just a bit surprised as previously (for me) only the marriage certificate was fine. At least, I got it done with. And yeah, it was quite easy and thankfully there was no que at the khet.
-
This week I went to Chaengwattana for a 60 day marriage extension and unlike before I was asked for the Khor lor 2. Previously our original marriage certificate was okay.
While getting it, the khor lor 2, at the nearby 'khet' they said that within Bangkok it is required. Maybe, I'm slightly on the negative side but I find their continual change of requirements 100% intentional. The I/O in the back had to look at us before she gave a response as to whether the original certificate (not the khor lor 2) was acceptable or not. Also, the lady that checked the documents prior to our queue, mentioned it may or may not be okay. TIT ????
But my point of this post is that, I'm wondering if now a lot of others are finding themselves having to go get the 'khor lor 2' when previously not needing to. Or maybe its just new to me.
