  11. Sorry for such a morbid subject. As I have a Pacemaker fitted and wish to be cremated on death what happens to the Pacemaker ? Does in melt completely or do the ashes have bits of metal ? Can one request that on death the pacemaker is removed or does this happen anyway at the hospital ?
  12. OP - When you say "partner" to you mean marriage partner or friend partner? If I have children in UK must they register death with embassy or can it still be my friend partner here ? Would I need to put something in writing to allow my friend partner to contact embassy ? If I wish to be cremated locally does the UK Embassy require a witnessed signed advance document from me or one sent to my children in UK ? I am confused by much of the wording in the Embassy information pages.
  13. Excerpt from British Embassy web site. "Registering the death of a British national is a requirement for any British national. It must be done through the British Embassy in Bangkok. It should be noted that any British national who passes in Thailand must be registered by the next of kin. A coroners inquest would not be performed in the UK." Does this mean that my Thai partner here has to notify my children in the UK who then have to notify the British embassy in Bangkok ? i.e. my partner cannot notify the embassy direct ? What information will my children have to provide to the embassy ( I cant find any form for completing ). For example my name, passport details, hospital details etc ? Can this be done over the phone, by email etc ? Do my children have to notify the embassy that they give their consent for funeral if they cannot be here ? If yes what form of document and does it have to be in Thai ? Any other advice greatly appreciated.
  14. OP - When writing the Will do you need to provide / state ID card details of any named executor ?
  15. OP - like you I made 2 separate Wills some years ago, things have changed and would like to make 2 new wills. OP - Thanks for your comments. My intention is to write a Will for my children in the UK which relates to my bank accounts there. A second Will relates to bank accounts and personal items here in Thailand. Both cases the people involved will be as executors and beneficiaries.
  16. Can a designated Thai person be given permission to withdraw money from my bank account ? I am not here on a marriage visa but wish a long term close friend of 20 years to be able to withdraw funds from my KBank accounts in an emergency.
  17. OP - Thanks for your comments. I rent I do not own property in Thailand or UK
  18. When writing a Will does one give specific Bank Account numbers, for accounts both here in Thailand and in UK ? Should I write a separate Will for bank accounts in Thailand and England as the benefactors are different ? Regarding personal property in Thailand is it better to list these in a separate Will to that of bank accounts ( i.e. two separate Wills ) ? In Thailand can a benefactor also be the executor of the Will ?
  19. How to stop notifications for TV and Movies ? I get too many everyday and should not have ticked "Notify me"
  20. I reuse my own Singha 5 litre water bottles. 8 boxes by 4 bottles. A friend who has his own water purifying plant collects the empties and returns them refilled to my door as and when required. Cost 1baht per litre. I used to work in farming visiting many every month. The farms used the large 30 / 50 litre ( ? ) bottles. On a number of occasions all farm staff fell ill making it impossible to operate the farm properly. Where I live now I have found nematodes in house tap water and also a couple of times at a hotel. Once had some kind of green soft algae in the water after local supply had been cut off for repairs.
