I put zero or a very low amount, not had problems in the past but will see what happens with todays parcel sent to UK

How can I show subtitles the correct way round please ? Simple step by step instructions please.

I sent dried food stuffs to my family in UK for Christmas last year ( 2020 ), used local post office ( Banphai ) who packed the goods. I informed the post office that all food stuffs were no meat or fish or egg strictly vegan, which they were. Arrived UK in about 7 days no problems at all. Am about to try and send another food parcel again today ( 29 Nov 2021 ) will keep you updated.

OP - Afraid I am not a "techie" ( I know I should probably know all these things having started with the black screen and green text days of the early computer in 70's ). Had my first laptop in the 90's, a Packard Bell bought in UK, traveled for many years to different countries in Asia and beyond every month with the laptop under my arm.

Thanks - I use where possible 4K Video Downloader or ClipGrab to download where YouTube allows these days. For TV series Dailymotion often has what I am looking for

In the UK, no. Have sent before and no tax. Have sent Christmas boxes by post and gain no tax I sent a limited edition T-shirt once by post to UK many years ago, it was held at airport until my daughter went to collect and tax was more than the cost of the T-shirt

Thanks Farmerslife, Sorry if I confused you, I am not trying to watch a TV station but sites that have TV series with Thai subs. There are many of them and they have series like The Good Doctor and 9-1-1. I understand the bit about the phone but how I play on laptop do I go to something like VLC player ?

When using a laptop to watch a western TV series or movie with Thai subs it often starts to delay ( revolving arrow on screen ) about 9pm. Rarely is it possible to download the series in English let alone Thai. If it is watched on an Android or iPhone it does not have problems with delay. Is there a way to link the phone playing the movie directly with a laptop ? I generally use the VLC app on my laptop for downloded music and TV series.

Thanks Robin for your comments, I live near Khon Kaen so an agent is the safest way, also I would have to use public transport. First time in all the years I have spent here. At one time, for business purposes I had 2 UK passports, one for a current journey the other one getting visas ready for next trip.

OP - thanks for your comments. I live near Khon Kaen and would use public transport to get to Bangkok so that's a definite no no, hence the use of an agent. My passport expires in late April 2022, my retirement visa in December this year ( have been advised that I would be covered by 3 months extension ), A warning perhaps for the future, have at least one year left available in ones passport to apply for a new one.

Are these through an agency or self made applications ?

OP -have just seen again on phone vaccination at Central Khon Kaen is from Monday 22nd not Sunday 21st. It is also - it seems - restricted to 100 people per day "walk in " only.

1st vaccine Sino 03.08.21 ( no ill affects ) 2nd vaccine Astra 06.09.21 ( very bad side affects within 4 hours of vaccination lasted 2 weeks ) 3rd vaccine Astra being offered 21.11.21 ( 11 weeks after the 2nd one ). Is it normal to have a third dose so soon after the second ??? For those interested vaccine is being offered at Central Khon Kaen on 21 November - no appointment needed.

Agree 100%, typical UK - not perhaps "incompetent" as you say but more UK GOVT lackadaisical approach to almost everything irrespective of the big chief's party. I have been told 8 weeks by Keyvisa, with a sounding of 'perhaps / maybe / if lucky / don't forget it's Christmas and New Year - and and. Once I got a new passport from Hong Kong it took 5 days. Once in UK over counter same day.

OP - Thanks KhunBENQ for your comments. Agree with your first sentence. Have found info online about it - dog house - being flat packed, and excellent "How to put together" video. The only agent here seems to have small size only, my friends dog is over 20kg, well over a metre nose to tail and tall, well educated ( ! ), soft as ....

Whatsapp is, from what I understand, not common in Thailand, it is in the UK. Not sure why this is now, originally it was a free alternative to SMS. My children in UK use Whatsapp, it's format is different to LINE, perhaps less friendly. I had no difficulty in downloading app to both phone and laptop but it was difficult to get it accepted on both.

Has anyone recently used Key Visa to obtain a new UK passport ? Were they good in their receipt acknowledgement and checking of documents, ( querying and contact regarding errors in document completion ), forwarding to UK, contact on receiving new UK passport, requesting their fee ( Key Visa ), forwarding passport to home address ? My passport expires in April 2022, Key Visa is saying 8 weeks for passport return, what time scale for return has anyone had recently ? Sorry so many questions. As an end comment a word of warning to others, "Ensure you apply for a new passport when your current one has at least 1 year before expiry to avoid issues with retirement visa and 90 day reports.
