It's a good start. Few more years of work and he can have a decent enough retirement.

Thanks again

One last question. If the extension ends on the 21st, I can leave on the 22nd with no repercussions? In other words.I get one day overstay gratis?

All I really need is 4 more days. What if I just show up at the airport and pay the fine? It'd about the same baht-wise(2000 vs 1900) wouldn't it?. Would there be other consequences involved?

OK, Thanks.

I'm currently on a 30 day extension on a VOA. The extension runs out on the 21st. Can I get a one week extension on the 30 day extension I already have. It can save me a couple hundred bucks on a flight back home if I can.
Thanks.

Silly notion.

Unbelievable; and a Thai girl at that.

TOEIC is relatively simple but uses a lot of jargon. Most Native speakers would probably get 99% correct. The TOEFL test is more academic in nature and definitely has a lot of things that sound right to native speakers but are grammatically incorrect. Native speakers seldom score high on TOEFL without practice.
and which is the "correct" answer ?
the academic answer probably, even when it is not used that way in daily speech !
Where are you going with this thread?
My Thai friends son is worried about his score of 750 , he wants to get a job with an international company after he finishes Uni ,
and is not sure if he needs to take the test again after taking a " TOEIC prep class"
I was just wondering how hard the TOEIC test was for native speakers .......I would think getting 100% is almost impossible !
750 puts him way above average for Thailand.Maybe him tink too mutt

the Thai powers that be are as close to xenophobic as you're going to get.
No by a long shot. No walls going up along any Thai borders. -
Better anti-corruption laws in Aus, apparently; I never had a Aussie cop shake me down for money. Made alot of noise and talked too much, but didn't hit me up for money.

Not sure where your boss got the info about taking action on the 15th day?
No show and no communication, most jobs would mean instant dismissal. Waiting 15 days to take any action is laughable.
Unless he is in a coma in hospital after an accident or illness, I think any decent employer would get the facts before possibly facing an unfair dismissal claim.
Any employer worth his salt wouldn't wait 2 weeks before taking action.

If he's coming over on vacation, it's a lot cheaper to buy a round trip than 2 one-ways. Gotta wonder what he's thinking.

Get another gecko put it in a plastic bag and lay it next to the one already there. It'll confused the sh88 out of someone, when they return to the scene of the crime.
