  1. No more than normal,it's just becoming more visible due to an increased use of social media and the like.

Agreed, in the US on the other hand there's a definite increase

Not sure where you get your info on crime increasing in the US, but from what I read online is been going down for years. Check your facts before posting something you don't know anything about.

  2. So according to your post you are an english teacher and everything seems cheap to you? cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

How's that BTS ticket and the studio apartment working out so far?

You got a bottom of the barrel job in Thailand and of course Thai people will talk behind your back about it.

I would too - just not behind your back - you're a loser. Period.

Most 'bottom of the barrel' English teaching posts pay (30k) twice as much as a Thai person with a degree gets (15k).

It's a gov't job so for the Thai teacher there'd be all the perks added in, insurance, pension, pay raises, vacation time, sick days not to mention gifts in white envelopes. The falang teacher is contract labor and doesn't get the extras,so he's the one getting the short end of the stick.

  3. Oh. It's open now? They said they will inform members when open again. Lol

    Good to know this.

Open a little bit. They don't have the new machines yet. So they'll close again in a couple of weeks to switch out the old equipment.I'd wait a month before giving them any money.

  4. That's the reason why people in the States and other parts of the world have better lives.

I think the people in Flint, MI, South Central LA, and any number of other US locales would argue with this statement. Thailand is a just place. Like anywhere, it has good points and bad. From the tone of your post I'd say it's time for you to move on to the next challenge.
  5. It depends where you are and how you behave, drive aggressively and behave the same way and you'll see an increase in violence right in front of you, case in point, the Hua Hin incident.

I agree till you use Hua Hin as an example. The way I understand it one of the victims arm brushed against one of Thai guys and a beating was the result. The only violence was from theThais, unless I missed something the victims were not acting aggressive or misbehaving.
