You have guys wearing women's clothing all over Thailand, what's wrong with a woman wearing jeans, shirt and sneakers and acting like a bloke?

Will the next President denounce Jerusalem as the capital? Somehow I think not.

Why bother listening to him.
Get the watch's serial number, the manufacturer can then tell you exactly where & when it was bought.
With this information the receipts for the purchase of the watch will be available.
If it's involving multi-million Baht fraud, (which it could be as not declared on his assets sheet) the above options are available to NACC/law enforcement.
Or would that be too logical ?
Logical yes but it may reveal corruption in the current administration so best to leave logic alone.

Should the rental businesses also check that every customer has no alcohol or illicit drugs in their system also? What? No just ensure they have a licence before you let them rent. If they are obviously drunk then don't let them rent either.

Maybe one reason they are happier. This TVF has a group of some great guys that help us all with honest information. Unfortunate it also has a larger group of miserable people who never accomplished anything in life —yet they are the experts of everything. And they usually claim to live here but hate everything about Thai people and Thailand. Weird weird weird.
I love Thailand, the people, food and culture but unfortunately I still think Prayuth is a numnut and laughing stock.

When I first started coming here I hired cars and traveled the Isaan area only with my Australian license and I never had any problems and I have never had a fine here and now I live here and have a Thai license
I paid the donation of 200 baht just once at a road block, every other time has been fine with my aussie licence.

The rental businesses should be dealt with severely if they rent a bike to someone who is unlicensed and if the bikes don't have full insurance. I can't rent a bike or car in places like Australia if I don't produce a current licence. It is also an offence for the owner to allow an unlicensed person to use their vehicle.

Praise for Prayuth from tourists? I know he considers himself a god but who writes this propaganda rubbish being fed to people?
Please tell me when prayuth waved his hand and created nature and the environment in Thailand. It took god six days to create the world but it appears he forgot to create Thailand.

Agree with most on here, very poor maintenence and responsibility by the truck owner /driver. Poor girl it looked quick and she probably didn't feel it.

Why the sudden successful arrest? Everybody knows this well as it is always involved money changing hands with the ever diligent Thai law enforcers.
Might have something to do with the coroner's inquiry in Australia and aussie investigators findings that contradicted the Thai findings that only one person was involved.

"But at least most Thais are OK with it and gladly cooperate". ... I went for a walk at dongtan beach this afternoon and saw more Thais than foreigners smoking on the beach.
Are you sure they were thai and not Burmese as thais are Co operating and obeying the law. No problems with thais just foreigners.

I guess thais were informed about the new laws but the international community were not. Travel companies do not tell their customer and when they arrive they expected the place to be as it was last month. Pattaya has a lot of men returning a few times a year so they may not like the changes and look for fresh horizons

That is both a highly complex question and a very good question.
Governments are there to govern, and there are certainly times when they can and should make decisions for the benefit of/on behalf of the populace, even when on the surface the reasons aren't clear or popular.
However, the ability to make decisions in defiance of 'conventional wisdom' requires the government to be highly legitimate, highly credible and highly trusted. Further, there must be some kind of accountability for the decisions, something that isn't really prevalent at the moment. According to the news article, the current government does not meet the requirements outlined above.
My own view is that the government needs to establish its legitimacy, credibility and trust before undertaking decisions as above. However, I don't believe that there is an easy answer to the question.
But governing isn't a military role, their role is to march up and down and polish boots.

Now things are getting ridiculous with political correctness in sport. No more ruckman, just ruck persons. No more tackling your man, you will be tackling your person and that doesn't mean jerking off on field.
AN AFL ruckman should be known as a “ruckperson” and cricket batsmen referred to as “batspeople” under a Victorian-led push to reduce violence against women.
WOMEN FACE RAMPANT SEXUAL VIOLENCE
BID FOR MORE FEMALE SPORT ON TV
A university-led conference has called for gender-neutral language to be used across all sporting codes at every level.
Swinburne and Latrobe University researchers have begun work on studies linking sports to reducing violence against women.

What's KFC like? I've never been in one. I have always thought it must be awesome going on how popular it is worldwide.
KFC is different in Thailand, take their burgers for instance in Australia they use the breast but in Thailand they use the stringy dark under belly flesh. Not nice at all.
