  1. You are fooling yourself.
  2. So it's a done deal now? https://aseannow.com/topic/1331767-thailand-to-reclassify-cannabis-as-illegal-by-1-january-2025
  3. I see so many foreigners who've been in Thailand for a minute and who have a job, a work permit, a yellow book, a pink card, are married to a Thai, etc, and they suddenly think they are no longer viewed as a "tourist" by the locals in the land of smiles. In my opinion, none of that changes anything, nor does the amount of time you've lived in the country for that matter. You can never change the fact that you are a foreigner on the outside and that you will always be viewed and treated as such by the locals. If you think that it's truly anything different then I think you are sadly mistaken. Personally I prefer it that way and wouldn't want it to be anything otherwise. Do you see it any differently? What are your thoughts on the matter?
  4. Keep us posted. Very important matter.
  5. In the minds of the locals they are all still foreigners, which means they are all still perceived as tourists. Foreigners who have been in Thailand for 5-10 years often think they have assimilated and are now a local rather than a tourist. It's not until you're in Thailand for over 30 years that you realize that you are no more local than the day you arrived. Enjoy it though. It's what makes living in Thailand as a foreigner so much fun. 🤩
  6. True story. Many years ago I saw two young, drunk lads walking along Sukhumvit Road in the wee hours, laughing together and having a good time. A couple of ladyboys standing in the shadows grabbed them both, but the lads rejected the advances by laughing and telling the ladyboys that they prefer men and don't like women. Bad move. Within seconds both ladyboys had their skirts pulled up and all that could be heard for miles around were the words "I have c0ck". Once the skirts were up, that became undeniable.
  7. The ones I used to see carried enough pens and pencils in their breast pockets to rewrite the Bible 50 times.
  8. Not to mention all the ladboys along Sukhumvit Road at night wearing short skirts and who flash other men as they walk by. Heaven isn't it?
  9. Thank goodness for those small pleasures, hey?
  10. I remember over 20 years ago seeing them lined up and standing in rows 3 deep in front of Nana Plaza reading passages out from bibles about sins and having to shout at the top of their lungs just to try and be heard above all the noise. It was a funny sight to see. The locals were probably perplexed but likely didn’t give it much thought given the number of drunk foreign nutters around the area anyway.
  11. What about those freaky Mormon boys in the white collared shirts with their breast pockets displaying a name placard and stuffed with pencils?
  12. Take us all out on one of your famous tranny tours and we will consider it even.
  13. In Thailand, indecent exposure laws are governed by the Criminal Code. While specific laws can vary and enforcement might depend on the context, generally, being naked in a manner visible to the public, even from your own property, can be considered indecent exposure and is likely to be prosecuted under Section 388 of the Thai Penal Code. This section states that anyone who performs any act of obscenity in a public place, or a place that can be seen from a public place, can be subject to a fine. Under Section 388 of the Thai Penal Code, the punishment for indecent exposure typically results in a fine. The fine for committing an act of obscenity in a public place or a place that can be seen from a public place can be up to 5,000 Thai Baht.
  14. @Gecko123 you seem obsessed with geckos in general. Just sayin'.
  15. Indeed. With gecko murderers on the loose like the OP, we will all need to get vaccinated for Dengue now!
  16. Just foghettaboutit. When the BIB show up then just show them one of your many big black strap-ons and explain to them that you were in costume for Mrs. Smith when the lad showed up with the clipboard and that you weren't actually exposing bob's real little bits to him.
  17. exposing yourself in a manner that can be seen by the public or by people from a public place is considered indecent exposure and can lead to legal consequences.
  18. Not if someone complains.
  19. You are definitely allowed to be naked in your own house. But if you were to stand naked in your front doorway, your driveway, in a window or on a balcony then that would likely be considered indecent public exposure. But in your case it's a very small matter anyway so you would probably be given a pass. What's a couple of millimeters between friends anyway, right?
  20. I can't really say. I think I've given my bank account number to these sites before, and I don't worry about it too much, but your question opens up a whole different discussion for me about securing Thai bank accounts in general. For one, I think the best way to keep your bank account secure is to worry less about who has the account number on file and simply protect the account using your online banking app where you can quickly specify daily limits on outgoing withdrawals and outgoing bank transfers. This will prevent fraudsters from being able to drain your bank account without your permission even if they obtain your account number. The other thing I do is I use multiple bank accounts in Thailand for added security. One account has the majority of my money in it, which I have fully locked temporarily in the banking app to prevent any transfers from occurring on the account at all and I have no debit card on this account either. Then I have a second bank account where I keep just enough money for monthly living expenses. The second account is not fully locked down, because I need to use it daily, but I still have set daily withdrawal limits on the account that I can also change whenever needed. However, given the fact that I keep a fairly low balance in the second account, the low balance protects me even further if I give out the bank account number for banking transactions because there isn't much in the account that can be lost anyway. I also have a debit card on the second account, which has separate daily limits set on withdrawals and purchase transactions for the card. So I am not really worried if my debit card gets lost or compromised. Most I could lose would be a couple thousand Baht. In general though, I pay for everything online with sites like Lazada and Shopee using a digital debit card from a Fintech app. What I do is that I keep the card always locked in the app and then I only temporarily unlock it in the app when I want to make an online purchase. As soon as the online purchase is made then I lock the card again. This way, I don't worry about my card information being stored in the systems of these online vendors because the card is always locked. Since I can also create as many digital debit cards as I want within the app, every a few months I cancel the digital card and create a new one just for added security. I know all of this might sound a bit heavy duty on security, but I feel in the digital world we live in now that you've gotta be extra cautious and vigilant to prevent fraud.
  21. Shopee refunds can typically be processed in several ways, depending on the original payment method and the specific circumstances of the refund. Here are the common refund methods Shopee uses: 1. Original Payment Method: If you paid through a credit or debit card, the refund is usually credited back to the same card. 2. ShopeePay: If you used ShopeePay for the purchase, the refund might be credited back to your ShopeePay wallet. 3. Bank Transfer: For payments made via bank transfer or if specifically requested, the refund can be deposited into your bank account. 4. Shopee Coins: In some cases, refunds can be given in the form of Shopee Coins, which can be used for future purchases on the platform.
  22. I’m on my way. Just need to give the address to the Grab Car driver. Are you still residing at Tranny Mansion over on 69 Soi Ladyboy?
  23. Round and round she goes, where she stops, nobody knows.
