Difficult to say as it could be said each thai is individually different.

I presently work in a casino, being a gambling establishment obviously the vast majority of our patrons are Asian.

I can say without a doubt Thai patrons are by far the most polite.

You published your situation , and did it in a way that suggested your good luck was recalcitrant to many others on TV hence my opine about being glass half full yet strangely "searching for validation" here, TV. I am positively partnered longer than seven years with zero/nada/niente... no problems and still feel no need for others to congratulate me on that.

Plugged away fella but i am one of the most supportive positive people you will find. We both are in Thailand and abroad.

Pretty sure there are "rural" women in other parts of Thailand too ! Some of them are even educated...

That was my original point, people are always comparing rural v educated, some are both.

If Thai people ever read Thai Visa you could surely understand their bitterness towards expats. I have never seen so many want to slag off the very people that allow them to reside in their country. It is absolutely disgusting. If I was in charge of this country I would be banging on the very doors of these bitter twisted people and their asses would be at Suvarnibhumi Airport faster than can say cheese. If you have such disdain for the people of Thailand then pack your bags and get out. I am not a "if you don't like it leave" person but if you do not like the people of your host country then what the hell are you doing here. Go somewhere else or keep all your bitterness to yourself. You probably lost your money to a prostitute and now bitter. That doesn't mean all Thai people are the same. When you leave don't slam the door on the way out. Be assured you will not be missed.

I do not live in Thailand, am happily married with two kids,I love visiting Thailand as its an amazing place but at the same time I don't wander the land refusing to see the truths about certain things, I never purchased roses coloured glasses when I arrived.

On another note I have never had nor evil will a bar girl experience, no bitter break ups, just a happy long lasting and still current relationship.

I am more then comfortable in still saying more then most Thai people are often on the take.

So it's gotten to this now.

People will actually argue here that thais are good drivers, come on let's be honest they are terrible.

We are all obviously lovers of Thailand, but this is a forum and we can express certain dislikes of the people or place if we wish.

I would straighten her out but she is an independent woman, not a slave with no mind of her own to be moulded.

The OP's story makes little sense - the woman's daughter wasn't deliberately slighting the OP's wife, she has nothing to do with the arrangements her mom makes. She had no say over who picked her up and probably had little control over being held behind after class. If by 'snub' you mean not talk, she probably feels uncomfortable talking to someone she barely knows. Everything is not some big conspiracy to cause grievance.

Listening to my wife's hour long rant I am fast learning she is right, most Thai woman only call when they want a favour except for a few close friends.

She picks up a woman's daughter from uni today, shocked the woman asked as she barely knows my wife, then the 18 year old daughter my wife picks up keeps my wife waiting for some time, then snubs her during the ride home.

No more favours for people who only call when a favour is needed

Sin sod was returned behind closed doors after the guests departed.

Me and the wife were not doing well, I had just gone bankrupt.

Back on our feet years later, doing well financially and relationship wise.

As a result of parents lack of greed during the wedding and since I don't mind helping them now.

Compromise before hand.
