  1. Oh dear ! Back to my original post for the graph page 4 ...so you cant understand that if someone had bought above todays price that they would be at a loss which accounts for roughly 50% of the days this year that someone invested in bitcoin? As the chart is titled "Bitcoin profitable days" and I have offered you just that yet you find that a problem as your statement was not true. Oh well I chart, I do my own research, and more importantly I ignore people who give poor advice on social media and youtube in particular. DYOR kids and let this thread be a distant memory. No more replies from me and goodbye as there's a lot of negative energy in trying to say anything on TV eh.
  2. Not true. Coinglass "Bitcoin profitable days" snapshot 4.20 pm today. Simple, green in profit, red in loss as to todays spot price. Without pedantically counted the exact days, its about 50 50 for the whole year bar 1 day as its the 30th. There is always that chance with an immature market. I feel that it isn't and that it could well be the next step in financial evolution that will carry on way beyond our lives on this planet .....but you never know. Thus ..... Exactly what I have done for more than 3 years and its worked out fantastic and now all that's left is pure profit to continue speculating with. Feb 2021 I recouped all my original investment and shipped it back into baht which is a move I'm very happy with to this day. Crypto is indeed a minefield, the wild west, high risk, madly manipulated, full of people with <deleted> advice and so on. Keep that in mind, watch out for the moonboys, shills, fomo and fud and you may be fine with it. DYOR do you own research is an absolute key to this game and if you can't be bothered then stay away imo. Crypto, it ain't for everyone at the end of the day.
  3. The straw that broke the camel's back. 20 plus years here and if this f****** w***** is PM then time for falang to leave including me.
  4. Great shop to go to ...BKK Speed on Borommaratchachonnani road in a soi not far from Central pin Klao. Check out BKKspeed.com website for their range and other branches in Bangers too. Lot of leading brands and can get what you want from around 2500 to 15000 baht. Thought of a flip up? Purchased a nice HJC for 7500 and best of both worlds on a Z9 ....fine open up to 130 kmh then lid down ! Also the branch in question staff knowledgeable and even one young lad with bang on English.
  5. So umm 500k, so umm 98.75% down at best ...however ... Maybe exaggerated a tad ???? but several stories recently conclude this ..actual "tourists" of the 100K probably do not exceed 30K. A sad situation for all the Thais involved in this sector but we live in strange times eh.
  6. Why didn't they just say "normal" opening hours ...that's midnight yeah? So cut it an hour short and expect folk to be grateful. As for where I live nearby still zero booze anywhere anytime and yet our covid cases are miles behind Bangers ......All about the Benjamins once again.
  7. Yep the 2 to 5 was his baby. was it about schools I'm not sure. Nice to see this minister asking why though albeit 15 odd years later. It's no biggy of a law as if you really want a beer then mom n pop will sell you one, for sevens it's a loss in revenue every day. Lol I'm glad he's gone but there are many posters here think he's great ....lest folk forget and without having my post removed ...Chiang Mai lawyer, land deals, phone company no tax, money politics and so on ..go goggle it yourselves and maybe realise how horrible and selfish this man was ....good riddens to him.
  8. 555 dead touchy people. So she's aggressively standing on the blue part. whatever next to be offended by?
  9. Yawn, here we go again ..... 7months 1 week and six days the pubs have been shut. I miss going down the pub but got used to it now and plenty of get togethers with friends at each others houses. Poor bar owners again, this is gonna happen that is gonna happen then not and then another useless story like this for them and always hanging on the next CCSA muppet meeting. Plus I guess even if they approve then its only because tourists really are not coming to Thailand eh, thus its all about the Benjamins and not peoples health and wellbeing. Better to not print anything until there is an actual outcome.
  10. Nope, watch this space. Obviously this man in the pic doesn't get out much to see what's going on on the ground.
  11. So wonderful news for all the bar owners in my town, which is not a touristy province, to which some of them were sprucing their places up in the hope of opening in 2 weeks time, but no. I'd say a good 50% have gone to the wayside, cleared out and the signs removed. For the remainder now, who were probably hoping for a new year boom have yet again been let down. Yeah yeah yeah Covid yet if it attracts international tourists then maybe but for the rest of the provinces screw you. Wonderful attitude by yer man "don't be selfish" to the business owners slowly dying or dead already. So you can eat in a crowded mukata no problem in my town but you can't have a beer in a bar. One solution is the same as reduced percentages of tables and seats in restaurants ...why not the same in a bar? Another solution if you wanna get separatist is only allow folk in the bar with a 'Mor Prom' proof of double vax. But no ....why would a leader who I believe doesn't drink consider this? I bet the Sangha are loving it too btw. Also Jan 15th is still not an automatic day for the bars plus plenty of hoops to jump through if so, I'm absolutely sure many bar owners here will today be considering giving up as even when that date nears it can be once again pushed back. Their trust in government promises has gone 4sure.
  12. So booze in a couple of places but not Patts. Its all garbage policy tbh. I live in a province next door to Bangers so to get <deleted> of an evening is a bit of a travel ....lol all the Thai drivers too eh doing the same from neighbouring provinces so keep an eye on the drink driving death toll for November. In the meantime 6 months, 2 weeks, and 6 days later since the bars were closed in my town, about half have already gone out of business never to return ...well done PM and the Thonglor civil servants that made this possible to take the the moral high ground. Lol yet the mukataa eateries are open here and rammed with everyone sharing stuff ....go figure sat in a bar having a beer or in a rammed mukataa, which is more covid risky?
  13. IMO Thai roads are pretty good. Ive ridden a bike in my life in some 30 or more countries and to me its good enough here. The above statement is basically all they needed to say. Oh and lol a figure of 7500 pulled out of a hat just like the TAT do too. To add, I've read before that about a third of road users don't even have a licence and then some who just paid a brown envelope to obtain one ..hmmm so no training prior to being let loose on the roads. There's a problem really worth looking at eh. Yup ....how many times do you see a bike pull out of a junction without even as much as a glance to whether there is oncoming traffic or not as for one daily example. Wonderful quote ...yep Grab drivers are really a pandemic since the covid pandemic ..most of them are brainless idiots ....pass me a gun please.
  14. So the quality tourists come to LOS, quality dad, quality mom, and two quality kids. End of the day after doing quality things like visiting temples, going to the beach, buying designer goods in a quality mall, eating at a quality restaurant ..guess what, quality dad would like a beer or even an XO brandy if he's proper quality ..and yet he can't . Keep on dreaming TAT for that big rush of high end quality tourists coming on November 1st. As a side note: It was the dirty farang backpacker all those years ago that built up the potential for what we see now and laughably what the TAT hope for too ..guess that's all forgotten eh.
  15. Central Pinklao in English 3 times a day starting this Thurs ....Central Salaya in Thai only thus another 25 clicks up the road for me. Friday I shall go me thinks as working Thurs damn. Canny miss it as seen every Bond flick in premiere week since the mid 70's. Anyway I heard from a mate that they were thinking of making Bond as a female role ....<deleted> just plain wrong and I think my time as a Bond fan would come to an end ...come on Bond as a bird? So watch it for the fit blokes being pulled by Miss. Bond ...nah don't work eh.
  16. So that would mean everybody regardless of nationality ...Thais too. Yep it will be bunged in the ticket price pretty sure. Can a Thai claim this back? Maybe but it would be a ballache, if at all. Me too, but it ain't a 'tourist tax' it's just simply a tax IMO.
  17. Yes, but she had 3 months to avert this crisis and the solution finally was to send it my way in October ....Effect schools postponed till mid late November and still cleaning up in December. Keep Bangers dry at the expense of neighbouring provinces which as in mine would have never had a problem ....yep that silly woman tyvm, I remember it too well.
  18. Umm, it wasn't "natural" ..it was mismanagement by that silly woman, sister of corrupt boy at the time. BTW, back then diverting the water to rivers east and west of Bangers was to keep Paragon open for the hi-so's IMO ..and yep they'll do it again.
  19. "administered for COVID-19 in Thailand, currently at rate of about 7.24/second or 625,130 each day. That is about 72.3 doses per hundred people (~69.95 million). At this rate, Thailand could have 70% of people vaccinated (2 doses) in 76 days (or by Dec 14, 2021). Thailand has not reported numbers in over a week, so predicted numbers may not be accurate." Covidvax live. So quite a long way off still for that magic WHO target. Yes confusion abound ...until you have had 2 doses and say with Pfizer for one gone a further 2 weeks after 2nd dose then you are not deemed to be "fully vaccinated". The figures banded about by Thai press and government are IMO misleading. And why no reported numbers for over a week? Thus estimates. Nope Thailand ain't ready yet to "open up".
  20. Ubon Joe much respect for your knowledge over the years but just from my own experience even when I started my 1st job in October 2003 I still had to go to the amphur tax office to pay zero baht (as obviously way under the threshold for 3 months salary) and obtain a receipt for said zero baht. The University that I was working at the time were very insistent I do this. Joe, is this a case of zero income no 90 or 91 form to fill in? Cheers.
  21. Just looked in my Thai law dictionary and nope not in there ....good and valid, good consideration, good intention yep ..maybe the judge forgot his law book and made up a new term. Yep that's in the dictionary, maybe the judge hasn't learnt it/forgotten its meaning. Fair play for this guy trying and nice to see the ugly truth eh and at least now we know its 'good for the nation' ...or in the bigger picture is it?. I understand when it comes to medical care complaining as its not something you can get around ..if yer sick you need it. Other great examples I have come across (but then you can walk away and forgetaboutit) private visitor parks 100 baht for Thais 400 or more for farang (why lol even with a farang who pays taxes and has a WP), National parks same attitude, but the one that cracked me up the most was a temple in Chiang Mai ..Thai free farang 30 baht ...I asked why ..answer "You are not Buddhist" ....top answer eh and I guess the only Buddhists in the entire world are Thai ...thus personal result I dont use any national parks anymore and avoid temples which is a result! Oh and my personal favourite the Chiang Mai restaurant (yep CM again and I dont live there) 2 menus on the wall , one in Thai one in English same 20 odd dishes all marked up 20 baht in English ..so point to the Thai menu and order in Thai and bingo Thai price lol (yep no read Thai you pay the happy dual price). Unconstitutional may be too stronger a word ...Unfair, Unjust, discriminatory would be where I'd put it.
  22. Thank you for that and yes I've signed it. 3706 so far ..10k government has to respond, 100k debated in parliament. Please do if you are UK citizen ....its takes literally 2 minutes to do.
  23. Was Joe Ferrari at the party? Ain't heard of him lately ..the old way of give it 2 weeks or more and its out of the media. Phuket murderer who who what? Same same another day.
  24. Double Pfizer vaxxed thanks to Joe Biden, Singapore-Thai chamber of commerce, and Vimut hospital. All done by last Wednesday. BTW: Scott might pay to start again as 62% now is "other" ...yep lorra folk double shotted already.
  25. I'm a Prathom teacher and teach 4 hours a week online at the moment. Onsite with a TA, 4 classes to 250 kids at a time is the schools solution (yeah not the best solution eh). Since May the enthusiasm of the kids has noticeably gone south and in my classes from say a 30% true participation rate down to less than 10% now. TBH trying to engage the kids constantly and motivate them to participate feels like a losing battle but I keep on trying. Yep the parents comments are worthy about the substandard way online teaching is being delivered on the whole. However, we find ourselves in a unique situation where we can't go to school and thus online learning is the solution. Its terrible for the kids, stuck at home, no face to face interaction, my kids sitting there for the last 5 months 30 hours a week in front of a computer screen listening to a bunch of teachers going blah blah blah over a variety of subjects ... I don't blame them at all for switching off and 100% sure at their age I would do exactly the same. The parents are frustrated too having to look after their kids 24/7 and many of them can't ensure that their kid is participating as they're out at work. You have to put yourself in the boots of those children and think how you would react to this situation. I'd like to add too, yep the Thai online learning set up is poor and doesn't work very well IMO, but really where does it in the world? For University level its about self motivation thus if you want a good degree you participate. In a kids mindset what do you have to lose? Teachers in the UK for one country say the same about online learning being ineffective and I would guess pretty much anywhere in the world, please share an example of genuine success if you know of one. This whole situation since Covid took hold for my kids has been a shame, one semester late start split classes sat in masks and face shields, another semester where the school closed and opened on three occasions once due to a small covid outbreak too, and then this semester where the kids are stuck at home with no physical interaction with others. When you think of it these kids have had pretty much one and a half years of poor and interrupted education and importantly social interaction with friends and peers. This I feel has already given rise to long term consequences as to childhood development. Yep we really need to get the schools open in November but as for Prathom kids where's the plan? Have I missed something but I see no plan other than parent consent forms for Prathom 6 kids only to be vaccinated ....What about K1 to P5? My personal opinion kids don't need to be vaccinated but from reading TV articles they are vaccinating Matayom kids before the school can open ...soooo ummm Prathom, what's the plan? Let's see.
