  1. Those sound good to me. I'm definitely going to try to do more travel, although I'm not sure what "creative ideas" I'd want to pursue. Maybe do more photography.
  2. Does it really matter who this chiropractor is or what he's done? It's easy enough to figure out, at this late date, that the jabs weren't effective and were actually dangerous to a lot of people. And the excess deaths keep piling up around the world, except in places like Africa, where everything is pretty much business as usual.
  3. Including me. The only reason I had the PCR test was because the airline required it at the time. July 2022.
  4. Actually, I think Musk Tesla will be building reasonably priced Teslas in Texas. They have the capacity. Excess capacity. I think Musk wants to fast track the RoboTaxi project, so that might take precedence for the time being. We'll see.
  5. I've never had any kind of bloodwork to determine whether or not I've had it, but before I flew to Bangkok last time I needed a negative PCR test, which I obtained the day before. If I ever had COVID, I couldn't tell. Anyway, I haven't really thought much about it lately. I'm 73 yers old, and I can count on three fingers the number of times I've had a complete physical exam since I last visited a pediatrician at around age 12. From time to time I've had some bloodwork, which is always 100% normal, and I've had routine eye care because I was nearsighted. And routine dental care. That's about it.
  6. Maybe Trump will get the people he wants and we'll all see some justice.
  7. That's what I thought at first, but then I thought that just maybe they would find a person who really really wanted a room off Walking Street for New Year's Eve. I'm sure there are people around who can spend that much money if they want to.
  8. Some of us never succumbed to the jab propaganda. I admit, they had me fooled for the first month or so. I didn't know what to think. Fortunately for me, no jab was available early on. And by the time it was, I had read enough to question the narrative. Too much valid information was being suppressed. And the narrative was almost comical. I used to have Twitter back when it was Twitter. Back then, you could set your feed to show all posts tagged in a certain way. And you could refresh your feed as often as you wanted. Anyway, It became obvious. Information was being deliberately deleted. Someone would post something, but that post wasn't immediately deleted. Sometimes, it took them a minute or so. And then it was gone. And yet why would they delete true information? Someone had an agenda. I won't waste people's time at this point. It's all ancient history as far as I'm concerned.
  9. I tried the link. Wrong dates., I looked at two nights beginning December 29. Anyway, now it says no availability for those nights.
  10. Here you go:
  11. I couldn't click on your link. Anyway, as of yesterday when I looked, there was a hotel right off Walking Stree tthat wanted something like $17,000 USD per night for two nights.
  12. Yesterday, for kicks, I decided to check hotels.com to see what kind of rates they were asking for hotels in Central Pattaya. Mostly, they were all fully booked on that website, but one hotel near walking street supposedly had one room left for two nights. The charge was something like $14,000 USD per night. Maybe someone would pay that?
  13. Milton Friedman has the right idea:
  14. We may soon find out if Keynesian economics has run its course. Not because the powers that be don't like the idea of printing more and more money every time they need it, but because the theory itself is BS. Personally, I'm a fan of kicking the can down the road for as long as possible. I don't have a say, though. I'm just an observer. Maybe it's time for a depression?
  15. Tesla will be making reasonably priced cars soon enough. As for the H-1B visas. Do they just want cheap but talented slave labor, or do they actually pay people the going rate? Or is the going rate reduced because of all the people on the visas?
  16. Very sad. Count me as someone who doesn't know anything about jet engines and birdstrikes, but I think I've read somewhere that jet engines are designed to chew up a bird or two without too much trouble. Is that wrong?
  17. I know people like that. They think they can't do this or that anymore just because they're "old." I don't understand that mindset. In my mind, if I'm in the mood to do something, I just do it. But I also know my limitations. I won't be doing any rock climbing anytime soon. Anyway, the quickest way to become an old man is to start acting like one. I'm 73, but that's still young, considering my family history. Usually, those people live to the late 80s, early 90s. One great uncle was 106 when he died. His mind was all there but he was in an assisted living facility because of mobility issues and a back problem.
  18. Maybe I'm going crazy, but I seem to have a hard time lately finding movies to watch that aren't totally stupid. Ditto for some of the TV series. Every once in a while, I find a true gem, but that's not too often. This one is good: True Romance, from 1993. If you haven't seen it, watch it. I can't seem to post a link that works. Also good: Dusk til Dawn, by Tarantino
  19. There has been a shift in public awareness, to be sure, but I think the "perps" are just getting started. They may never be held to account. They're already supposedly working on mRNA treatments that spread from person to person. They're trying to treat the food supply. I stopped thinking about it all because there's not much I can do but stay as far away as possible, stay healthy, get lots of sunshine and Vitamin D, and make sure my immune system is working well.
  20. Anyone who bothers to do a little research can, at this point, find the "truth." One of the reasons I left the USA. I guess that's all I can say.
  21. I sometimes forget, not everyone was alive back in the 50s and 60s. I can still remember seeing the Beatles when they first appeared on the Ed Sullivan show. February 1964. Anyway, just about every kid alive back then bought every Beatles album. I have a crazy memory, I think. No matter what the rock song, that sound is associated in my mind with a particular time and place, but for no particular reason. Play "Magical Mystery Tour" and my mind returns to one cold winter night driving through the snow and ice in a car that wasn't warmed up yet on a street not far from my mom's house. A random playlist takes me on a journey through different times and places. Anyway, I always liked the White album.
  22. That's already happening, right? In slow motion. No need to default, just print more and more money. I guess that's what BRICS is all about. Didn't Trump say something about paying off the debt with a cryptocurrency of some sort? Remember the trillion dollar coin idea? They could make up 35 or 36 of those, deposit them, and then pay off all the bondholders.
  23. Tariffs and tax cuts probably won't reduce inflation. And if Trump wants to increase military spending and if Social Security is off the table, then I think he's got a problem. Between interest on the debt, the military, and non-discretionary spending, what's left? Take a look, sometime, at a piechart of the federal spending. That should settle the argument. Take interest on the debt, military spending, and Social Security and Medicare off the table and see what's left. Not much. And the interest rate on the debt is increasing faster and faster. Entire agencies could be abolished, and maybe that would help a little. No one would even notice except for the people who work at those places. Musk and Ramaswamy think they can identify government waste. And they probably can, using software like Palantir, which is already in use by the CIA and in some of the newer military systems. Let's assume they can identify the waste and fraud with a government-wide adoption of an AI platform.. Then what? People used to defrauding the government won't be happy. Neither will all the people receiving kickbacks and political donations. And pretty much of the entire DC area population leeches off the government, one way or another. So there'll be a massive backlash. That's why Trump is such a danger to the establishment. He threatens the flow of corruption money. And some people might actually have to get real jobs. One additional problem is already beginning to show up: bond market vigilantes. The Fed may be able to control the Fed funds rate and the short end of the yield curve, but they can't control the bond market, a market that dwarfs the stock market and backstops much of the world's financial system. An increasingly larger federal debt probably won't be tolerated much longer. I don't have a solution. The political system is broken.
  24. For me, the second half of the year was better than the first half. I was dealing with an eye issue, but finally had surgery at the end of June. With that problem solved, my health has been fine. Financially, I've been doing great, as some of my stocks really took off beginning in July, so that's been fun to watch. Eye popping returns. The election cycle in the US was also fun to watch. It ended well, fortunately. The big challenge in 2025 will be somehow stopping all the wars started by the warmongers. Those need to be stopped ASAP or none of us may live to see 2026. I try to be optimistic, but that's becoming more and more difficult, given some of Trump's cabinet picks. Anyway, it will be interesting to see how many trillions actually get cut from the budget. Whatever happens, people in the USA should expect more inflation.
