When you have two sides, a narcissistic ex-reality TV star who has the intellectual capacity of a squashed apricot with his gang of religious fruit-cakes, and an organisation of actual experts, and who do you think are the morons? ????

Democrats were just too busy trying to impeach him, and calling him a racist for closing air travel from China.
well the impeachment was before covid really started blowing up, and Biden himself said he supported travel restrictions on China, “Joe Biden supports travel bans that are guided by medical experts, advocated by public health officials, and backed by a full strategy,” Kate Bedingfeld, Biden’s deputy campaign manager, told CNN. “Science supported this ban, therefore he did too.”

I know this thread's about the Aussie embassy, but as an ex member of the British foreign service, I hope the good Lord grants that I never have an emergency situation that requires the help of the British Embassy. Sounds like your lot are as helpful as our lot.
Pretty sure the British embassy are doing the letters for tourists

Damn, you lot can't help swooping in on every story for your little 'I think Thais are...' circle jerk
Only 2 days of curfew and out the millions who live here only around 300 going to court, not exactly everyone breaking the curfew, is it?
Yes, they shouldn't be breaking it, but the 'Thais are...' because of the action of some it getting boring

Why did they enter after March 10? By late Feb it was clear travel would be a problem. No sympathy for people like this.
It doesn't matter when they arrived, or when they were going to stay till - the problem is now, and the problem is people are here and it should be dealt with in a rational and logical way i.e. automatically extend all visas till the crisis is over. Other countries have managed it.
You are arguing over inane vapid small details

People should not confuse 5g with other previous roll outs, unfortunately this upgrade has had zero testing but being rolled out anyway on a scale unseen or comparable to all previous gens combined, we are about to have literally billions of receivers and boosters beaming it non stop everywhere... Effectively 5g are literally microwaves and can be tuned to many frequencies, theoretically any item which is receiver is also simultaneously a transmitter... Not that I think its a carrier for this virus but its still a massive electrical interference on a mass scale and we are like all life sensitive to electrical fields and dependent on electrical fields to operate properly and even survive, right down to every single cell in your body .. It could easily be an amplifier or affect the cellular immune system or interfere with workings of cells. No one has a clue what years of constant exposure to massive amounts albeit in tiny individual doses artificial electrical fields such as 5g might do... Nor do they have a clue as to the effect on other living things.. I repeat NO studies on health implications has been done anywhere....That should concern people if nothing else... We are also blanketing the earth with over 40,000 satellites which are already interfering with astrologers and thier equipment. Whatever happened to concerns over spacejunk and the dangers of that ? its convenient thats suddenly become a non issue ...
Stupid is as stupid does... having the biggest upgrade globally with zero testing or study whilst living in an electrical field life based universe is i think a pretty dumb and even insane thing to do, just as I believe attempting to create AI and a self aware superior system is probably suicidal. Ive had a great time before all this <deleted> came along that imo no one really needed so im content to watch the show unravel or beam me up Scotty.
Don't talk rubbish and can we have come citations for all those claims of no testing? And I don't mean Breitbart or some other crackpot website

So you have to go to an embassy, get a letter, then go to immigration to get your extension. Thus exposing yourself to travel and other people, the very things you shouldn't be doing at the moment.... good job immigration, gold star for you

This is it, the big test to see how we, as human being can cope and have we learned anything from past mistakes, and how well can we adapt and persevere in the face of powers greater than ours.. Time will tell...
coming from a dude who makes racist posts and thinks anyone who flees worn torn countries is somehow 'on the make', you failed at the first hurdle

Oh dear. More negative and dark comments concerning a voluntary program.
It is not negative to point out that making money from a crisis like this is somewhat lacking in morals. And as some said, why isn't testing free? They did that in Korea and Vietnam.

Why even give such plainly idiotic theories news space?

Thailand will never execute a foreigner. Bad for their image, as I'm sure they dont want to be like Indonesia. Sure you can scare and threaten all foreigners of the death penalty when it comes to drugs but when was the last time a foreigner was executed in Thailand..... Never
They have and they do, and you know not all foreigners are white westerners?

Food for six weeks. In case we are told the remain home. Medicine. Kleenex. You name it. No need to go out unnecessarily now.
The USA is crashing now with NYC becoming like Wuhin soon. Reports school's will not open again this year. Hellish conditions at the airport with people in huge groups together for hours returning from everywhere in the world. No masks. Exactly what you don't want to do.
Myths so far are virus only affects the old and is like the common flu.
In fact people of any age are infected without symptoms and are transmitting the virus to others. Life long lung and liver damage is possible.
Social distancing is now the only way to stop the virus. Stay home. Stay away from tourists who should not be traveling now.
It is clowns like you driving panic and over-reacting that are more of a problem than the actual virus
"It is probably about or a bit less than 1%. Much higher figures have been flying about, but the chief medical officer, Chris Whitty, is one of those who believes it will prove to be 1% or lower. The World Health Organization’s director general, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, talked of 3.4%, but his figure was calculated by dividing the number of deaths by the number of officially confirmed cases. We know there are many more mild cases that do not get to hospital and are not being counted, which would bring the mortality rate significantly down.
Deaths are highest in the elderly, with very low rates among younger people, although medical staff who treat patients and get exposed to a lot of virus are thought to be more at risk. But even among the over-80s, 90% will recover." Guardian

Don’t Panic: The comprehensive Ars Technica guide to the coronavirus
Not telling the whole story, are you? Yes, we shouldn't panic and yes it will be beaten (ironically with public money, those pesky socialist types again!) but that doesn't mean ignoring it or thinking it will just blow over. We still need to take steps to control it and limit the exposure for vulnerable people. What this requires is level-headed planning, something Donny and his bunch of cowboys are incapable of doing.

Well done to Soi Dog for being honest unlike CCP China, Iran and these other gangster regimes who don’t want to test large amounts of the population for free or just panicking that if they tell the truth on how bad things are, they might lose their grip on power, which is all they care about, any body using an excuse to harm animals during this pandemic should be treated like a murderer
didn't China build extra hospitals to cope with the virus?

Popular Pattaya based YouTuber Kev in Thailand passes away
in Pattaya News
Posted
It is disgusting the way some posters on there talked about Kev and in general how they seem to put down anyone in the foreign community who has troubles.
Yes, he had a GoFundMe page set up, if you didn't agree with that, just <deleted> and don't donate to it. No need to come online and put the boot in when someone has cancer. Some of the comments were childish and spiteful.
Others who said he was begging for money on YouTube as a vlogger. Asking for contributions for content is not begging, a lot of vloggers do it, as people who really connect with and enjoy their content want to help them produce more. You don't have to watch it and you don't have to help.
I didn't know Kev personally, but I saw some of his videos and watched some more since he passed. From what I can see and heard he was a genuine bloke who helped out a lot of people and gave them advice on moving to Thailand and getting set up. A lot better than just moaning and being negative on TVF.
So RIP Kev, and <deleted> the haters
