You do not say where you are doing but immigration, even in Bangkok, is basically still a hard copy haven - last week they had to get last years hard copy file to prove what method I had used for retirement extension of stay (money in bank or income).   Some offices may not require you fill out if have history with them but basically you are submitting a new TM47 for each report.

    Thanks.

I'm reporting to Jomtien, so I'll plan for the worst scenario.

You always fill out a new TM47 (online you just paste previous information using mag glass icon to fill out form) - the print out from immigration is a receipt for the previous report - not a report itself.  Be sure to keep a copy to make sure future reports are exactly the same (assuming no change in address and not already in computer).

Thanks for the info.  I'm aware the print-out is a receipt for the previous report.  My address has not changed.  Why query is if I can use the last print-out.  If immigration only need to type in my passport number to their system, and can see my re-entry stamp in the passport, do I need to fill-in a TM47?

  3. This aims to generate extra revenue for the government and prevent Thai people from spending excessively overseas, according to the poll.

I've read some rubbish, but this takes the biscuit!

And the foreign tourists being milked for their last pocket change!

I think the next time I visit my home country, it'll be with a one-way ticket.

  4. When I was serving in The RAF, living in married quarters, I witnessed a guy beating the s**t out of his wife at the bottom of the stairs.  The front door was open, so having seen it, I couldn't ignore it.  I went in and pulled him off, throwing him out the door.  He couldn't say much as I out-ranked him, but his wife was quite annoyed that I had intervened, and told me to F*** Off and mind my own business.

So, would I intervene again!   If it was on private property, not a chance!  If it was in public, maybe, although not really recommended in Thailand.

    Read the attached.

So you are saying someone stole his wallet while he was riding his motorcycle, before the accident? Grow up.

This is the problem with this forum, uneducated comments from members.

Keep your nose out of business you know nothing about, being too lazy to read the article then making antagonizing comments is childish and I'm fed up with your type, leave me alone.

All of you antagonizers, leave me alone, I don't make offensive, stupid comments to your weird, fairy-tale comments or mythical investigation thoughts, I have a laugh and move on.

It's not worth replying to that.

Chill out and keep taking the tablets.  Have a nice day.

  6. As far as phone scams are concerned, I don't answer the phone to anybody not in my contact list.  Emails the same - If it's in the spam box, I delete it without opening it.  I've even had spam emails with the names of family members in the address.  Text messages the same; I get them every day, but delete the obvious scam texts.

I always adhere to the above rules, and I've had no problems at all.

I tried to find soi 12 on Google Maps but could not....is it around Sawang Fah? Sukhumvit is lit but not very well, I think they are the old yellow type not giving out much light. There are also traffic lights around that area.....114 kph would seem a bit fast for that built up area. He admitted the road was very dark but felt 114 kph was suitable.

The GPS N13.010465 E100.930822 is on Sukhumvit north-bound, about 800mtrs past Route 36, between Soi 14 and Soi 12, although Soi 12 is about 500mtrs further-on; obviously the reporter's eyesight is about as good as the reporting.
