Too right. It's not like Pattaya Nua which is wide enough for a turn right/u turn lane. It will be absolute chaos.
As for laying cables down the middle of the road? How do they reach them without stopping the traffic in both directions? As somebody said, the traffic engineering department at city hall need riding out of town. They're a bloody liability. This project will bring Thepprasit to a grinding halt. Used to be a pretty decent road, too.
If you're coming from suk and tyour kids go to aksorn thepprasit you need to go past thepprasit 6 to u turn around to drop your kids off or lick them up. Wait until the weekend night market where coming from theppraya you have to go all the way up to outlet to u turn to go back and park. Another wonderfully thought out plan 5555

With no dedicated u turn lane and only very few places to do so wait till that traffic backs up, especially now that the Chinese and their wonderful tour buses are back. Especially in back of my house ????

If the family is taking donations to help pay the guards to ensure he has a "nice" time in the pokey i'll be happy to contribute ????

I will miss the old cables, was part of the 3rd world charm. If you want to fly 3,000 miles to be like you're in Miami, just go to Miami

One of those quality tourists!?

This incident needs looking into, i think a further inbreastagation is definitely necessary!

It's usually the tourists that you hear or read about getting into fights with Thai's, causing problems, and crashing motorbikes without insurance. Expats, especially overstayers usually are pretty calm and know how to get along but yeah, get rid of those pesky dirty overstayers out spending money where you are looking for them like Walking St and soi 6 LOL

That's a manly group there ????

What above poster is correct. You can not go from passport stamp to marriage visa. You will need to go to Chaeng Wattana first and get a 90 day non-o. Once that is set to expire you can apply for the non-o based on marriage

Now take a look at Na Jomtien beach between Chaipreuck and Pupen restaurant.
Exactly in January to took minutes to get to the end of the road one night

They are at Pratumnak intersection or just south on Theppraya rd a lot. If you can best bet is to take Thepprasit to soi 17 to the back of Rhompho Market then into Jomtien and vise versa

Club 4 is a fusion type of bar, part GC part GoGo. Most in that area are open a bit past midnight depending on customers. If you're going to bust a bar for being open after hours it is probably carried a bit more weight to bust them.....after hours when they are actually violating the law!
The bar busted for opening after hours, drugs, and condoms on the floor is a bit suspicious as most Thais don't use condoms and are probably not shagging right out in the open. Hmmm I know that area fairly well as my ex lived - still lives right around there. A pretty quiet area where usually the bar is attached to an apartment, i remember when
Jack bar kept getting busted pre-covid. It was located in a residential area a few places down from a Thai snooker place just off of 3rd rd chalermprkieat 35 i believe, just a few doors down from where i was living at the time which was almost right adjacent to the Thai snooker place and 3 doors down from where LCB first opened ????

Sure, but if it continues to go down the path of being quiet, the next thing you know, you will not be able to enjoy all the things that expats enjoy that are currently available here.
Don't see what our ex-pat life has to do with Chinese tourists staying behind me. They don't spend money where we hang out

The hotel must not have got the memo that Pattaya is now operating at capacity?
I hope not, it has been so nice and quiet here especially compared to what it was ????

According to BKK post, February 6th is when the first Chinese tour groups are coming. Likely those hotels are getting ready.
Have you not seen any activity at the closed hotels near you that cater to the tour groups?
No. The big one behind me has no sign of opening anytime soon. There is only one i know in the area opening and catering to them which is at the corner of soi aksorn and soi kor pai but very little activity as of yet

I'm sure the BIB had better things to do but the lure of big money got in the way. Disgraceful!

If she stood her ground she would have been in soi 9 for 3 days waiting for a court appearance!

Like Thepprasit isn't already bogged down by all the road construction they're doing now, they've decided to add to it during peak travel season ????

Leaving Thailand to apply the trade for an even poorer country? Doesn't make sens as they're trying to stop the sex traffic trade the other way
