It is not only the transit time that is problematic, but also the couple of days before you took the first test.

Since it can take as much as 3 days after infection for covid to be detectable by test, it is possible to be infected , let's say, 2 days before you take the first test and not test positive.

IMO given the covid situation around the world , the current system being implemented is spot on,

I had doubts about the need for covid insurance, but now that I think more about it, I even think that it's a wise move.

First the will be a number of false positive tests, then there will be the actual positive tests, In both cases there needs to be a mechanism to pay for the extended quarantine such events will require,

How about self isolation and monitoring instead of being thrown into a field hospital? We're talking about vaccinated tourists where the chance of being symptomatic even if detected positive is greatly reduced. Could be another ploy to collect on all that insurance money.

  2. Essentially the easing of restrictions in Chonburi will allow locals a little more breathing room in terms of time and a few activities. The only tourism they will see is what they already have which is Bangkok coming down on the weekend to have cola on the beach! I think it is pretty obvious what the real agenda is for Chonburi, Pattaya and Jomtien in particular!

Now, here's my quandary - You have to take a Covid test and show you're negative to board a plane. What use is another test after getting off the plane other than to generate revenue for the people performing the test? Did I suddenly get Covid from any of the OTHER passengers who ALSO tested negative?

Contact with others in the time between you took your test and boarded the plane with all the others that have the same issue. Also near airport workers and during transit where you're out of the supposed covid negative bubble. It's still probably over kill but better to err on the side if caution. It's only one night and not nearly as bad as a 7 day, or like i did a few months ago, 14 day quarantine

Family and I are still still waiting for our first dose of Moderna.

    whenever that will be ?

I read a minister suggested a 3rd booster shot just recently for all Government officials in another newspaper.

I bet that is where this first lot of Moderna is going

So much for all the people who have paid for it

Same here. My wife and mother in law were supposed to get their Moderna jabs on the 15th of this month. I told them don't hold their breath for 5 Nov

But, still, if they do swab people at the airport (there has been talk of this) and it takes 10 minutes per person, a plane load of 400 people would take 4,000 total minutes to process with one station. If they had 10 stations running non-stop, that would take 400 minutes to process that one plane, or almost 7 hours to process. And, what if more planes land during that 7 hours?

It takes less than 2 minutes to do a swab test. Trust me i've done about 200 of them and i don't think the planes will be that full especially in the beginning.

I would say this flier is for October ONLY

November should be different, whereas the tourists are allowed out of approved (SHA+-AQ-ASQ-ALQ) hotel, but must return each night to scan – check back in with QR code, its similar to Sandbox

So when i arrive back i can go home and spend time with my wife and kid in my own home. We can hang out and all good so long as i sleep somewhere else??? Can anyone provide any logic behind that other than hotel revenue? LOL
