10 days ago I had a job to breathe in the night and was taken to a hospital in Phuket, Stayed overnight and left after getting a first days bill of B126,000. Had the same thing yester. Got anti biotic pills locally. A day laid out in bed, a good sleep and fine today. Great saving
I've been unfortunate enough to need hospital treatment (and always went to private hospitals) a few times on Phuket, and can't say that I've been overcharged. Perhaps it might have been cheaper for a Thai, but the costs weren't excessive to the point you've named.
Having said this, it was a few years ago and, from what I've heard, private hospitals are getting worse as they increasingly become far more interested in putting profit before genuine customer care ☹️.

Easy for Farage he would go kamikasi and get no deal and when it goes tits up for the UK he would go and live in Europe, he has enough money, let the peasants groan.
The problem with this is that everyone knows the may/eu deal to be very bad indeed - the worst possible of all 'deals' and certainly not leaving the eu! Plus Farage initially left politics when he thought the referendum result would be respected, and has now returned to UK politics as a result of the opposite happening.

The incident itself doesn't bother me too much as there are many politicians on whom I would dearly love to throw (cheap ????) milkshakes. And whilst I'm not about to do so, I wouldn't complain too loudly if others did!

So much confusion here on purpose. The case is not about how Assange put his dick to play in Sweden. His work is about informing the world how politicians hands and their "boys" the "service" men's hands are full of blood after attacking other countries. Thanks Manning and Assange for helping the small people of the world to slowly wake up.
There is no justice for Assange in Sweden with a feminist government. The weak ones are hiding behind the country with the most deadly weapons. Sweden sold itself out in WW2 by letting the germans use their country while Norway and Denmark did not. Sweden is now full of shame so now all borders are open while they sell weapon to S.A.
"Look at Assange not on us"... is their strategy and the small people are biting in to it.
For 8 years Sweden never talked to him as they didn't have anything on him but US had for publishing their crimes. Now US wants him as he is weaker and has no protection any more. All his files from his consulate hideout was taken by the US to prepare a trail.
Nobody can criticize US, the worldpolice, and some like that while others not, I don't like it!
Good post, apart from elements of the 2nd and 4th paragraphs.

Just leave....no deal at all. After we have left, and paid no money at all to the EU, then negotiate a deal from a position of strength. A post Brexit, trade deal makes sound economic sense, and is a win-win for both sides as the EU sell much more to Britain that Britain does to the EU. Germany looks as if it is going into recession, not helped by Trump trade wars....they won't like losing the VW-Audi-Merc-BMW sales on the UK as well.
"I'm not sure I agree with the idea of women leaders of this is your idea of how to get Brexit."
How to ruin an otherwise reasonable post.....

It will be interesting to see the result of MEP elections.
I'm not sure this would be a reason to stop another referendum, but it is likely to make them terrified of reversing the activation of article 50!

No. It's the language of those of us who are sick and tired of politicians ignoring the electorate, preferring to look after their own interests.

You clearly have no idea as to my views!
I asked a simple question as a result of your post that only required a link to support your allegation that Farage was looking to move to the US. - indicating that the claim wasn't entirely propaganda or lies.

He is under EU investigation for undisclosed payments. He claims it was to help him settle in the US. Think that sums him up . Stirring the ignorant masses to leave Europe, something he has been extensively remunerated for being part off, saying England should stand up for itself on its own again and all the while plotting to leave the country. He was "thick" to consider his devious ploys would have gone undiscovered. Perhaps as all real con-men are clever, then yes perhaps you are right.

Is this true? Or is it more sad propaganda and lies?

I found it funny that a poster would blame Farage for not picking up the litter - rather than the person responsible! But that's remainers for you.....

Now we have attempts to equate a milkshake thrown by a presumed left winger to the murder of Jo Cox.
Utter right wing drama queen hogwash.
And this post explains entirely why I get so annoyed when 'left wing'/'right wing' are bandied about so readily by those who are unable to see that left/right wing has nothing to do with it.

Then why is Assange afraid to be tried for rape?
It's just a misunderstanding.
Please read up on this.
The Swedish 'rape' charges would never be considered rape in the uk.

If you came on here bleating about being arrested for breaking a law in Thailand for doing something that was not against the law elsewhere you would be roundly condemned and told in Thailand you obey Thai law.
Assange was in Sweden under Swedish law.
Fair enough, but when was the last time the Swedes (and come to that the uk authorities....) pursued something (that certainly wouldn't be considered rape in the uk) to this extent????

You seriously believe that this has nothing to do with politics, and governments determined that revealing the awful truth must be stopped? ????

Admittedly, I only watched the first 17 minutes (I'll watch the rest later), but this is a very good question.
Meanwhile, I'm still shocked that so many hate whistle blowers!

As mentioned the cooling mats are great WE have a Golden Retriever and when I bring it out he is onto it immediately
I recently bought a cooling mat - and my dogs mostly ignore it ☹️. I think this is probably explained by the cooling effect not being immediately obvious?
Hopefully they'll gradually realise the benefits, as one of them partly lays on it every now and again.
Meanwhile, I continue as always - if one of my dogs is clearly too hot, turn one of the fans directly onto them.
If it's a particularly hot day and fans aren't enough, I turn on the aircon.

Had to laugh when the neighbour's puppy came to my house and deliberately (I was watching) tipped over the dogs' living room water bowl, and lay in the large puddle!
Edit - Have to add that neighbour's dog is clearly very intelligent as he takes himself down to the beach every afternoon (just before my 'nap' time) to cool down in the sea, and then joins us on the bed (soaking wet and covered in sand......) to join our nap in front of a large fan or, on particularly hot days, in the aircon...... ???? ????

I agreed with the end part of this article:-
"All this feels as if it is about something much bigger than the need for electoral reform, desirable though that would be. This week, at the launch of a new book of essays called Rethinking Democracy, of which he is co-editor with Andrew Gamble, the former Labour MP Tony Wright went to the unstable nub of the matter. “We lost the referendum,” he said. “But we lost the democratic argument too. The argument for democracy was won by the leavers.” What is needed is a change of culture, says Wright.
Theresa May, seeking to bring back her Brexit bill to MPs next month with little prospect of success, seems fated simply to add another layer to the bedrock of contempt by doing so."

Britain's May tries to break Brexit deadlock with offer of 'new deal'

Not really IMO.
MPs aren't supporting the eu/may deal (latest or otherwise) as they know that the electorate know this to be an extremely bad deal - and are very worried as to how this will affect them at the next GE.
