There's a section on the Uk visitor visa for applicants to give details of financial dependents.
My Thai gf lives with her younger sister. She pays all the the rent on the room (4,000THB) and her sister pays the utilities bills about 1,800 (electricity and water).
Would her younger sister be classed as a financial dependent? Would it benefit the application if it's included or left out?
Thanks

What are some of the difficulties in coordinating this with a Thai person in Thailand?
It is a challenge but quite doable. Quite a bit toing and froing to and from a copy shop last year. I ended up getting the copy shop email address and sending stuff direct and my (now) wife just picked the stuff up.
The thing that took the most time was gathering the info, dob etc, of her mum and dad, her original divorce paperwork, a translation of her divorce papers etc.
You will need to prove you have enough money for her trip, proof of your relationship and also show that she will return to Thailand.
Here is a good idea of what you need. This is page 4 of my sonsor letter for the first visit visa for my wife. The only difference is that I am self employed. If you have a normal job, things are more straightforward.
In support of the application we have enclosed the following:
A photocopy of Pa’s Thai ID card
A photocopy of Pa’s Thai passport
An up to date passport photo of Pa
A copy of Ps's divorce papers and an English translation
Proof of permanent address and an English translation
A letter from Pa explaining a little about her, her employment details and details of the reasons she will be returning to Thailand
Sponsor’s letter of introduction (This letter)
A letter of invitation from rasg for Pa to come to the UK.
Photos of the address where she be staying in the UK, for much of the time.
The address
Photocopies of rasg’s bank statements and mortgage statement
Photocopies of rasg"s current account bank balances. Business and personal.
A photocopy of rasg"s UK Passport and Thai Visa pages
Photocopies of rasg"s accounts for the last two years with details of income.
Proof of relationship
Photos of the two of us in Thailand in January/February 2015
Photos of the two of us in Thailand in April 2015
Photos of the two of us in Thailand in May 2015
Photocopies of the Skype log – these are out of date as we have spent so much time talking. There are 100s of pages.
Photocopies of the Whatsapp log – these are out of date as we have spent so much time talking. There are 1000s of entries.
Printouts of two flight bookings showing we have flown together. We have flown together four times but I only have access to two of them.
A letter from her employer, Ma Kh, (aka N), granting leave of absence and a guarantee that she will have a job on her returnThis checklist is very helpful! Thanks

Thank you. I've started it all. So much paperwork.

Hi apologies in advance if this is a basic question... I'm starting a Standard Visitor Visa for my Thai girlfriend. Is it possible for me to start the application from the UK - eg creating the account the government website myself? What are some of the difficulties in coordinating this with a Thai person in Thailand? Is it Ok for me to fill it out in English?
Thanks - I've never done this before so I don't know where to start

Seems like most people find them pretty useless.

I've seen a couple of shops using air coolers instead of air con. They said they were much cheaper to run and when I was inside it felt just as cool as a room with the air con switched on.
Has anybody got experience of these? I've seen a couple from Hatari that look OK and are about 4,000thb - 5,000thb to buy. (http://hatari.co.th/en/products/aircooler-3.html)

A woman is a woman, same wherever in the world you are. They've all got their own quirks and cultural customs, but every one of 'em can love.

Hi, yes the full story is I had a about a dozen boxes to to Europe.. I had arranged the shipping with them but then circumstances changed and I had to wait a bit longer for some more goods so I cancelled order but he said he would need money for wasted time, knew people in high places etc etc
I'm sure it would be a civil matter in Europe, but I'm just not sure how seriously the Thai police / immigration department would take it, and whether they'd blacklist my name

Hi, does anybody know anything the passport checks at immigration entering Thailand?
Last year I imported exported some goods from Thailand to the UK and cancelled my order with the first freight company. They're a one-man band Thai company and he said he has sent my details to Thai police and immigration because I did not pay for his service. He only has my name, (a shortened version of the first name but correct surname ) and no passport details. Will this be flagged up next time I show my passport at the airport in Thailand?
I'm guessing that immigration desks at the airport have a big database linked to passport details of people that they're looking out for.
Employer's letter on headed paper?

Mistake
Just looked at the guidance for the UK visitor visa and it says the letter from an employer should be on headed paper. Does it have to be official company headed paper or is it OK for it to be printed from a PC on Word?
The other thing is that in section 4 it says a list of documents that should not be included... such as photographs and flight bookings. However, most people say that these should be included as supporting evidence of a genuine relationship. Should they still be included?
