Has the UK stipulated that a proportion of the donated vaccines be used specifically for British nationals living in Thailand, as other countries have done for their own nationals with their donations? And if not, why not?

There is no <deleted> ethics or honest business practices in some places.
Private hospitals need to cover their costs, otherwise they go bankrupt. If they didn't make money from their pharmacies they'd have to increase their costs elsewhere. You were not scammed, and there was no lapse of ethics on the part of the hospital.

Are you saying that Immigration can log onto your bank account to see the balance and historical transactions? If so, I find that disturbing.

I'm quite sure that if we're all patient, we will eventually receive the vaccinations that have been promised.
Either that, or die.
We shouldn't be patient, we should be very angry at the Thai government's utter incompetence and the racially discriminatory distribution of vaccines.

I know of some people that crack the egg into a sealable sandwich bag and then poach it. Sprayed some nonstick inside the sandwich bag first they did.
There's also a technique where you put a double layer of clingfilm into a ramekin, crack the egg into that, then lift up the edges of the clingfilm and twist them. That should protect the egg from any nasties in the water. It also produces a very neat looking egg.

If you are a non resident expat you cannot be a constituent as you have no voting rights in the UK.
I think your point is irrelevant to what the the previous poster wrote, but factually you are wrong. Non-resident individuals continue to have voting rights in their last UK constituency for 15 years after they become non-resident. The government is currently working to remove the 15 year limit.

VOTED Hope it does some good.
The petition has already been running for two months (started 26 May, or thereabouts). In two months it's attracted under 1,500 signatures. At that rate it's not even going to hit the 10,000 votes for a government response before it expires. So, probably done no good at all. Sorry.

Jet black. Really?
Why would you doubt me? Calling me a liar?
However, in the interests of preciseness, it was only the parts of the aluminium vessels that had been exposed to water turned jet black.

Could it simply be that there have only been large numbers of people getting infected recently, so it's too soon for enough cases to emerge for it to be noteworthy?

What exactly does that mean? Is there an AstraZeneca entity in Thailand? (I suspect not. They work through regional agents.) And if not, the observation is seemingly meaningless.

I asked FTSE Russel some weeks ago about which stocks were in their midcap index in Thailand, but they replied that this information is only for subscribers, which rings very wrong to me.
If a company goes to the cost and trouble of constructing an index, why do you think you should be able to know its constituents for free? It's a nonsense.
If, however, there were, say, an ETF based upon such an index, then the ETF would need periodically to publish the ETF constituents which may, or may not, be similar to the index. It would also need to publish how its performance differs from that index. The company providing the ETF would also need to pay FTSE Russell for use of the index.

Thanks both. I did message Morningstar about this a couple of days ago, and it appears the problem has been fixed.

old post I see, the TH100 is being dissolved according to SET News as of July 1
Not quite. Shareholders are being asked if they want to close TH100. Their replies are due by 18 August. Whether the ETF will be closed will be decided some time after that (it may not be), and the actual liquidation will be some time later. So, as of the moment, the fund is still being traded.
(KGI owns 55.20% of the shares, and it's pretty much impossible that the announcement was made without consulting them. That implies that KGI wants to liquidate the fund, so it almost certainly will be closed.)
Did have a look on Bloomberg, and am shocked to see the expense ratio is 2.32%. That would be extortionate for a mutual fund, let alone a common or garden ETF.
The SET announcement is at https://www.set.or.th/set/newsdetails.do?newsId=16250966078720&language=en&country=US
The SET major shareholder list is at https://www.set.or.th/set/companyholder.do?symbol=TH100&ssoPageId=6&language=en&country=US

are mall restaurants not permitted to be staffed for takeaway?
Not permitted. Went to my local Gourmet Market in a shopping mall this morning. Everything in the mall was shut, apart from the supermarket and two pharmacies. The stalls that restaurants previously had set up for takeaway have gone. It wasn't even possible to withdraw money from an ATM blocked off. None of the restaurants in the mall usually listed in Food Panda and Grab is there today. To add insult to injury, only a fraction of the usual range of ready meals was available.

I'd heard that shopping malls in Bangkok and surrounding provinces were to be closed. I'd assumed that didn't apply to restaurants for takeaway. Just looked at Food Panda. All the restaurants in local shopping malls have gone. However, small shophouse restaurants with dubious hygiene and very poor quality ingredients remain available.
Does the government really think that it's helping people by removing the option of healthy, tasty and clean food deliveries? Either we're forced to leave our homes to visit supermarkets, so risking infection, or we're forced to eat dodgy food and potentially suffer the dysentry.
This is lunacy of the highest order.

The expats should be at least a little bit grateful that the Embassies accept a certain responsibility for getting their citizens vaccinated, unlike the British Embassy which is adamant that it will do absolutely nothing for the British living outside the UK.

Personally, no. A couple of times I've used tap water in an aluminium bain-marie. The metal turned jet black. I conclude there's something chemical nasty in the tap water.

As long as you walk it to a market, hospital or your place of work. Surely that's clear to you? (Warning, traces of sarcasm)
I'm not going to walk Fufu to a market, hospital, or palace of work. Miniature white poodles, whilst great guard dogs, are very sensitive and might get sick.
