What, the 90 day reporting isn't good enough to track down all these criminals quickly? Perhaps they should make it 7 day, or every day, reporting. That would work.

If the Vatican ever flooded the livestock would be the least of their problems.
If it were ever to happen I'm sure that God would notify the Pope in advance to build an ark. Whether the Pope would choose to save the animals, or save the Church's vast wealth is perhaps debatable.

I wonder whether the Pope would allow livestock into St. Peter's should the Vatican ever flood.

Why would members of the "Children and Women's Welfare Supervision Division" raid a "gay men's club"? Pretty sure that gay men aren't either children or women.

Isn't it still the case that if you're on a flight with someone who tests positive for Covid that you are forced into hospital quarantine, even if fully vaccinated?

Of course, the sandbox requirements include "You must have been in your departure origin country for at least 21 days". Utterly useless for anyone wanting to make a trip to the UK and return to Thailand, unless they want to go away for more than 3 weeks.

Thanks for the contributions.
Definitely a bird, not a moth.
The olive-backed sunbird is an excellent fit in terms of size and shape (including the curved bill), so I suspect what I saw is a close relative (or possibly a juvenile?) It didn't have the bright yellow breast, and the colour on the underside (a greeny yellow) was only in the lower half.

I know that hummingbirds aren't native to Thailand, however a few times over the last couple of weeks I've seen a small bird which hovers in flight and has a long, distinctly curved bill. Its coat is mostly drab, but with a yellow/green belly. Is it an escaped hummingbird? Or is there some local species that looks similar?

The UK press are speculating the red list will be cut from 54 countries to 9..... speculating being the operative word.
Not speculating. That all the papers are saying the same thing, 9 is not a random number, is a clear sign that this has been deliberately leaked by the UK government.

Even if it happens, there's still the issue of the government's not accepting the validity of all vaccinations carried out here, so still 10 days quarantine, just not in an expensive, crappy airport hotel.

Not quite right. Wise rates are midmarket rates from Reuters.

Why not order from InvadeIT? They have a few English-only keyboards.

Might also be worth contacting them to see if they can do a "special" for your own language. I understand the co-owner (Thomas Skyum) is European (Danish to be precise) and might be sympathetic to your need.

So on this basis, a German living and working in Germany for a UK company pays income tax to HMRC?
Yes.
However, usually the UK company would set up a German subsidiary, so the employee is paid by the German subsidiary.

It won't because the work will have been performed whilst I was physically outside the UK
Sorry. You're clearly poorly informed. If you're working for a UK employer and paid by them, then your income is UK-taxable. The fact that the work was performed elsewhere is immaterial.

It is to him!! So why are you putting him down with a sarcastic remark?
I'm not making a "sarcastic remark". Banks handle transfers of millions and millions every day. Stating that GBP 100K is a trivial amount to transfer is simply a fact, not a put down.

However, what proportion of those have been given Sinovac, largely ineffective against the delta variant? Overall about 2/3rds of the vaccines given to date have been that one.

As far as your bank is concerned, GBP 100K isn't a "large money transfer". It's a piddling little one.
Your bank will make the transfer by SWIFT, and there are literally no limits on the amount that can be transferred by SWIFT.
Do note that you'll be way over the Deposit Protection Agency's limit of 1 million baht when the money arrives here.

That is incorrect.

Surely something wrong there, methinks. 25 ml is less than a fluid ounce. Maybe 250 ml/25 cl?

Type 2 Diabetes improving.
in Health and Medicine
Posted
The leading researcher in weight loss and diabetes is Professor Roy Taylor of Newcastle University, England. He has demonstrated that
"Type 2 diabetes is simply caused by excess fat within the liver and pancreas. In the liver, this fat causes a poor response to insulin and it produces too much glucose. In the pancreas, the fat inhibits insulin secretion." https://www.ncl.ac.uk/research/impact/casestudies/diabetes/
One of his key papers is "Very Low-Calorie Diet and 6 Months of Weight Stability in Type 2 Diabetes: Pathophysiological Changes in Responders and Nonresponders", published in Diabetes Care in 2016. Its conclusion:
"A robust and sustainable weight loss program achieved continuing remission of diabetes for at least 6 months in the 40% who responded to a VLCD by achieving fasting plasma glucose of <7 mmol/L. T2DM is a potentially reversible condition."
VLCD = Very Low Calorie Diet
T2DM = Type 2 Diabetes Melitus.
