  1. If the OP's friend knows and accepts he has Alzheimers and is looking for someone to take care of him then maybe the best option would be to find him a residential care home in Thailand.

My father passed away last year from the effects of dementia and my mother also has it. She refuses to leave their house and go into care, so instead my sister and I pay for full time live-in care to look after Mum.

It costs about 50,000 THB a week, but at least we know she is being looked after. Both my Sister and I live overseas.

Given my Mum's overall physical health and current age it is likely that she will live another 5 or 6 years, maybe longer.

If there was any way to get her to Thailand I'd do it but unfortunately that is out of the question.

i think op is looking for a girl to take care of his friend not a nursing home.

  2. It will happen. Anyway. I never saw so many bars for sale as of now due lack of customers. And this is just the beginning. The crime rate will continue to rise. For the remaining tourists Thailand becomes more and more dangerous.

    It is low season!

I was in Nana couple of weeks back and virtually no customers in the gogos. Not surprising when one sees how much the drinks are and the revolting so called music that the DJs like.

Lots of punters in the outside bars though. No doubt waiting till closing to pick up a takeaway without paying the BF.

I did notice that there are way less really pretty dancers than in the 90s.

Pattaya has had too many bars for donkey's years though, and low customer numbers per bar are the norm.

God awful music. I think the DJs are jealous of the 10% of girls making mucho baht. Thai rock is better than what they play.

I see NANA more valuable as a 7-11.....................lol. The NO customer model just doesnt make sense.............................hahahahaha.

Rainbow 4 or whatever its name is now is just a weekend thing. Weekdays no girls no customers.

  3. These Walking Street Go-Go Bars are notorious for both padding the bill and pouring all the girls drinks and saluting the naive unwitty tourist who then get an enormous bill...and the shock of his life...these folks are scammers and criminals and should either stop their criminal activity or close their doors...

nobody working at the venue was involved and that he had been beaten by other guests.

Let me think back...how many times have tourists been beaten by other guests when arguing over their padded bill...NONE!

    Shut the scumbag place down...

Why do tourists have such a hard time keeping an eye on the bill? Been a while since I went out partying. As I remember each drink had a tab that was put in a wooden cup in front of you. Used to take it out and look at the price. Keep a running total in my head and leave when it hit my limit.

Buying your chosen prostititoots mother auntie, grandmother , etc drinks does add up.

  4. Prime minister announced that the 15th is now National no alcohol day. The police have just told us we have to close at midnight on the 14th. Looks like this month will loose money again. So many days the bar has to close but still have to pay salaries, rent, water etc

You own a Pattaya beer bar? hahahahahahahahahahaha!

  5. I am worried about the possibility of a race war being sparked.

But here is good way to frame thinking about that threat we are facing:

    http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2016/07/there_is_a_war_over_race_in_america_but_it_s_not_whites_vs_blacks.html

This is the central thing to understand about what happened in Dallas: Black people who target whites are fundamentally allied with white people who target blacks. They’re on the same team: the race war team.

    ...

This is the war Micah Johnson joined in Dallas on Thursday night. He didn’t join the side of black people, any more than Bin Laden or ISIS joined the side of Muslims.

Obama has already started a race war. Where u been-Pattaya? hahahahaha.

  6. Im curious is that a work permit for renting under 30 days only ?

    edit

Yes it appears this applies only to sub 30 days.

Makes sense to me, well done indeed

Yes, it's all a bit overly dramatic.

It is for people renting out their units on places like airbnb as generally using the unit as a holiday hotel/apartment, thus taking away customers from the real hotels and apartments. The Thai don't accept foreign foreign competition on their soil. biggrin.png

Unless you're illegally using your unit as a short-term holiday rental, you're fine.

hotels in los are so cheap. i cant see owners making money off air bnb. Hawaii doesnt have cheap hotels so i use airbnb a lot. Las Vega have cheap so airbnb dont make sense.
