I had 2 friends already, each with 2 doses of Sinovac, in ICU due to Covid for 2 weeks. One almost didn't make it. I have no friends that got ill with 2 doses Pfizer. Clearly I would wait for the proper vaccines, but that's just my experience.

I think it should be a reciprocal agreement. If your country of citizenship allows Thais to purchase land there, then you should be allowed to own land here. That would take care of the Chinese takeover and expansionist problem, and open it up for the rest of us simply wanting to own a house.

Well that plan is not going to work out that well with so many refusing to accept a Chinese vaccine. Once millions of doses go stale dated, perhaps they might get the message and stop ordering it. Most of the Thais I know will not get a Chinese jab, and are waiting for anything else to become available. I think most can get a Sinovac anytime at Central if wanted.

With such brutal restrictions, mandatory costly testing, and stupid new rules popping up like sunscreen fines and enjoying alcohol, the only tourists that could enjoy themselves are those from Nocturnal Alcoholics Anonymous organizations.

Lucky they were indoors. Would add another 100,000 baht fine if they were wearing sunscreen.

Great gift. Most volunteers have to fund all their own equipment themselves from their own pockets, and some of it is very costly. Scuba equipment, radios, rescue equipment, oxygen bottles, first aid, fuel, etc. It would be nice to see the proceeds of crime raids go to these groups rather than to some top cop's villa, exotic car collection, and bank accounts.

Nobody is Russian to go get a Chinese vaccine, but many are Russian to get any other type. I hope those with the Sputnik vaccine are let into the country as fully vaccinated.

Well, that's good that they will finally play a crucial role for a change. I'm looking forward to hear him talk about progress in reducing Thailand's greenhouse emissions, denounce the coup in Myanmar and return to free elections, reducing China's influence and control in Thailand, and acknowledge the government's mistakes and failure to deliver ample and effective vaccines to fight Covid.

Perhaps, but it seems something is wrong with a system that allows those police members higher up to amass a fortune in cars and cash from drug seizures, torture, and killings, while most cops below earn barely enough cash to put petrol in their scooters and must resort to robbing cash from tourists at checkpoints on the spot for infractions they make up.

Vaccines need boosters. Same as a yearly flu booster. Israel vaccinated so quickly, protection waned as time progressed. This is a natural thing. They quickly found that those that those that had boosters were not ill. They started getting the booster program going, as well as the other things you mention. Seems they are doing all the right things. I don't expect we will ever be rid of this, as it is impossible to have everyone on the planet agree and be on the same page. We will have to decide to just live with it at some point.

China is in a unique position to fight this pandemic as they enforce absolute tight curfews and lockdowns. Any complaint or opposition or non compliance suffer brutal consequences. There are no anti vaxxers or anti mask wearers there. A brutal yet effective means of control. This fact, along with China's secrecy and lies in the official narrative renders most data from China unreliable, other than what we can see via satellite. They are still holding the 2 Canadians hostage as spies for over 1000 days now on made up charges, and have taken control of the South China sea. China has lost all credibility, and can't be trusted.

Is Sinovac better than no vaccine at all? Yes, but barely, compared with what other options are available. Giving a population Sinovac instead of other types delays the implementation of better vaccines that actually fight the pandemic. All other vaccines are proven in all the reports I have seen to be many times better than Sinovac, in hospital admissions, deaths, and transmissibility. It is only recognized in 45 countries, mostly third world, and you wouldn't normally want to go to those anyway. If you are not using the best proven vaccines for your people, and respective boosters, you are not doing the best you can. Two of my friends that had both doses of Sinovac spent 2 weeks in ICU with Covid, nearly fatal. They agree. Many more of my friends have had 2 Pfizer, and none caught covid. This is my personal experience, but arguably statistically irrelevant.

Give everyone a chance to come together again. The economy will prosper due to the trickle down effect.

SSZ 4.0 should include location announcements of the police checkpoint shakedowns in order to help Falangs avoid getting fleeced for infractions they make up on the spot. Before they can think of attracting more people to Thailand, they must stop pushing the existing foreigners away. I'm ready to spend a lot more here on real estate and vehicles here, but am unsure due to the instability. First, they must stop the shifty and changing government policies, corruption, insane immigration requirements and reporting, questionable property ownership, difficulties getting money out of Thailand, government involvement preventing the delivery of proper health care, and many others to name a few.
