The other thing I love about this topic is people argued for about a week or two that “no! Israel did not bomb that hospital it was Hamas!” Does everyone remember? When the conflict started. That's got nothing to do with any surplus equipment that could still be used by them if they wished. They have not, they've decided to donate it to Ukraine. Its Sweden's largest military aid package for Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's unprovoked invasion. Much of the aid is also in cash which is never surplus as much as you'd like it to be. Still more: "The Swedish Defence Research Agency will also be tasked with supporting Ukraine in establishing its own defence research institute."

No they have no obligation to clear out surplus equipment. More nonsense
