  1. Without looking back to check but that.sounds like a record high for those dying at home 25! The system is still failing the most vulnerable despite the promises that they were going to stop this happening.
  2. Ok let me rephrase it for you after checking T.A.T. Children 6 - 18 years old traveling with fully vaccinated parents do not need to be vaccinated but need to take per test on arrival. It does not make a lot of difference to the numbers as by far the majority of those who tested positive were adult, besides I’m pretty sure the officials have those stats and they are also available in public reports.
  3. 3% are false positive not bad. It is a higher percentage for false negatives that’s why they advice that if you test negative then make sure you test again after two days but then that could also be good advice for positive tests.
  4. Phuket is providing by default a very good study on breakthrough infections from western vaccines. The incoming travellers have all been double vaxxed, provided negative covid certificates before arriving and pcr tests on arrival and the stats so far are: 18,267 people arrived, out of that 52 have tested positive so a rate of 0.3%, which looks to be quite good. The other study I hope they are doing is the amount of breakthrough infections in the community, numbers there seem to be going up, 84 local to be added today yet Phuket claims to have more than 70% vaxxed. Unfortunately they are not giving any details on that. With it being mainly Sinovac vaccines administered so far then it’s not surprising. "DAY 38: Report for the #PhuketSandbox: On 8th August, 638 international travellers (+33 from yesterday) arrived on 7 flights bringing the total to 18,267. So far, 52 people (+4) have tested positive. 347,814 room nights have been booked up until September." https://twitter.com/ThaiNewsReports/status/1424541202943156225
  5. That chart also shows the average daily tests declining, down now to 50,036. I was under the impression tests should be increasing in a situation like this.
  6. Looks like he was responsible for bringing false hopes but then so were .people like Anutin
  7. 958 positive rapid tests brings unofficial total up to 20,056
  8. Total of 19,603 new infections, with 313 of those from prison and 19,290 in the community. 149 covid deaths recorded. Weekend effect still in play or is this a flatline period we will now see for a few days? The above official new cases do not include new positive counts from Rapid Tests. Rapid test positive: Total number of cases inclusive of rapid test: Rolling 7 day average (up to 7th Aug) which includes prison cases and bar chart of community cases from daily official announcements. https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus/country/thailand
  9. The WHO vaccine plan very clearly says health workers and older adults as the 2 first priority groups. Look at the actual roadmap from page 17 and to the relevant stage of pandemic that Thailand is in now. The only time it changes priority is when there are no cases in a country then it gives priority to border patrol groups and health workers. Before older adults.
  10. Phuket big rise today. 81 new local cases and 4 sandbox. No deaths. https://www.facebook.com/109168820738303/posts/361956985459484/
  11. Take a look at this, it will give you a better understanding of vaccine priority when there is limited supplies in a pandemic situation. Relevant to Thailand https://www.who.int/docs/default-source/immunization/sage/covid/sage-prioritization-roadmap-covid19-vaccines.pdf?Status=Temp&sfvrsn=bf227443_2
  12. Not in Europe. Uk is delta. As is most of the rest of europe along with remains of original strain. Beta has a small presence in Spain and France but delta will soon kill that
  13. Maybe you meant alpha and delta then that would be correct
  14. You don't even know what the dominant variants have been in Europe. Beta?? As for the rest well writing another essay to respond to such basic mistakes is time wasting
  15. Also 19 medical workers https://thepattayanews.com/2021/08/08/chonburi-announces-1476-covid-19-cases-with-eight-new-deaths/
  16. Oh of course yet 96% of all medics have been vaxxed so one can make logical assumptions that in a red zone at least 96% would have been.
  17. No they new as it was reported on the 18th July. https://thethaiger.com/coronavirus/bangkok-hospital-suspends-multiple-services-after-300-medics-test-positive-for-covid The 300 medics reported from Samut Sakhon are an additional separate group infected last week.
  18. I’m not assuming anything, just stating what that article missed out, exactly the same as you did...... nice edit on your post after I had replied ????
  19. It also does not mention the 300 medical workers infected from just one hospital in Bangkok last week and as a consequence they had to stop all new admissions.
  20. 2,577 covid positive rapid tests also announced. If added to total makes 22,560 new cases.
  21. First time in 5 days new cases dip below 20k. Total of 19,983 new infections, with 350 of those from prison and 19,633 in the community. 138 COVID deaths recorded. The above new cases does not include new counts from rapid tests. Rolling 7 day average (up to 6th Aug) which includes prison cases and bar chart of community cases from daily official announcements. https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus/country/thailand
  22. We're not in India and the virus is increasing here, when its over I can assure you we will all sing hallelujah
