My opinion anytime is a good time to visit Thailand, now your choices of cities to visit leave a lot to be desired, Pattaya is in dire need of a make over, people jumping off building left and right. Many Insurance companies offer Health/accident insurance in Thailand, there should be some on Island, AIA, AIG, Blue Cross, NZ, Thai Life, etc, if you cannot find one that you like on Island just come inland, Bangkok, pattaya or where ever, they can give her a Health checkup, (Normal stuff/routine check) for STDs, Blood Pressure, Blood sugar, etc, at there cost, most it not all these Companies will insure her world wide.
