  1. Searched, but could not unearth an answer to this...

I live in Los Angeles (under 50, single, etc) and desired a visa for a 9 month holiday. LA's consulate only offers 2 Tourist Visas so I looked elsewhere sending emails and voicemails to various consulates. I obtained a 3 entry (maximum they would grant) Tourist Visa from an outside state as they would not issue a Non-Immigrant. A week after I received my passport from the first consulate another cities consulate calls (10 days after I left my message :o ) and the results of the conversation are that they will issue the non-imm visa. I send in my passport and receive the NON-Imm visa :D .

Now I have the original Tourist Visa in addition to my Non-Imm visa in my passport. Is this kosher? Is there an issue about having two different valid visas in the passport from different consulates? Should I take any actions?

WOW!! Good for you, now just hope the local Immigration folk in Thailand will not hassle you, remember this is Thailand(TIT). If they do they should do it with a smile most have now finish a two weeks course on how to be polite to farang guess.(Really) :D

  2. Read here on Thavisa that a major crack down would start 1 April 07(??), True or not your guess is as good or better than mine. :o Best of luck to all, I for one prefer to leave my passport in a relative safe place rather than take a chance a drop it somewhere(god know where). Yet another case of This is Thailand(TIT)!!

  3. Ride at your own risk. Most companies put profit before your safety (ie GREED). Some of the Drivers are just down right UNSAFE, I had one pass me just last week down town running at least 90kmph in a 40kmph zone, bus standing room only. We follow him to the local bus station, took the bus number and the wife report it to the local authority(ampher/governor(the one goes to major accident scenes)) and the bus company(407). My guess little of nothing was said or doing to the driver. :D:o

  4. They "let you go" because they know where you live. If I were you, I'd walk down there and offer the motorcycle guy a bit of cash, before the police (or "police") become involved and it becomes more expensive (for you). I am not saying what's right or wrong, only what is likely your best and cheapest path of action.

Could you please explain how someone who is NOT DRIVING but sitting in the back of a taxi is responsible for paying anything? :o

    Oh wait......I see......3 posts......Thai expert.....NEVER MIND.

TIT, This is Thailand. Ever heard of a backset driver??
