  1. I may be heading towards a first time root canal and would be interested in a specialist in that area, someone you actually went to for the procedure here in Chiang Mai. Thank you in advance. 🙏
  2. One question: It’s my understanding you first receive a temporary DL, and that you have to wait for one or two years before it can become permanent. However, if I went back to the US with a temporary DL, do you think that would work with car rentals?
  3. Did you get the license in Chiang Mai? And if so, where did you go? Thanks in advance.
  4. Still closed. I’m sure ghosts have moved in.
  5. Three small incisions in my case, about 1/2 inch in length. It was explained to me as a trimming of the meniscus tissue. Maybe my situation wasn’t complex. But yes, the laser does cause immediate tissue burning which allows healing to begin. I got lucky with the technology, as previous operations required the meniscus taken out. Terrible option as this would allow bone on bone.
  6. I had this issue decades ago in USA. Although I don’t have any specific doctor to recommend….I can say I had it done with laser treatment and it was minimal incision and was outpatient. So I suggest laser if offered.
  7. Curious if anyone knows how much money the mushroom trade brings in. Millions of baht?
  8. Thank you, some edification here. Do you think if there was a way, i.e. greenhouse, that the smoke problem would be noticeably less disastrous? Or are the mushrooms just a small piece to the smoke puzzle?
  9. A comment I heard today, that our current CM smokey hell comes from local fire starters racing against the Songkran clock, in search of Het Thop mushrooms. So maybe someone can answer for me, hypothetically, if the “powers that be” were to outlaw Het Thop mushrooms, making buying/selling a serious crime, would that have an appreciable effect on our air pollution? Or is the Het Thop just a scapegoat for other failed policies?
  10. oh….well, that’s different…..
  11. I’m looking for a nice clean sauna facility with the option of no massage. I guess with all the crap air, I just want to sweat out the toxins. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
  12. Yes, I think that pretty much sums it up.
  13. Yes, that’s why I didn’t mention the name of the restaurant. However, I did go back and looked at a full years reviews on Google Maps, and its amazing how they ping pong between 5 star and 1 star reviews. Either it’s a tremendous meal with a lovely owner… or someone got sick, the food is disgusting and the owner is arrogant. To be honest, I’ve never seen anything quite like it.
  14. I know this for a fact. In my hotel there is a coffeeshop that uses Grab. The owner (farang) has himself left glowing 5 star comments, as well as his friends. This especially happens after a real 1 or 2 star review shows up.
