They are not complaining, they are merely saying, what was once an unspoiled idyllic location has now been turned into yet another Thai playground in the name of tourism to prop up an otherwise failing GDP

Totally incorrect They had the land for 20 years and never thought of developing it other than building a house later when retirement came around, as back then it was a dream location. Now spoilt to the point of being almost unsustainable, they decided it wasn't the quiet location to live as it once was. The neighbour who has lived there all their lives bought the land at a reasonable price so that they could extend their boundary and stop encroachment by developers. They have no desire to build on the land.
