  1. The Judge said assault was "technically" rape... rape is clearly defined... The Judge was a democrat looking for blood, with no proof or real evidence.
  2. And who is this "convicted rapist "...
  3. It's called health insurance... not a "Go-Fund-Me"
  4. Mostly due to the construction sites... transport and burning are an issue but not the only answer. Maybe they could consider a night-time road sweeping operation?
  5. Sad to say it but if he was a suicide candidate the height of the railings would be irrelevant, however from the post pic they look fine.
  6. The suspect, Mr Chiang Ming Feng, 27, He looks more like 57
  7. Agreed, been a fiasco from day one... They now have data from hospitals and leading doctors regarding the true cost of having this much freedom. Medical use only,,, yes prescribed by a doctor in a hospital, and bought from a hospital pharmacy only.
  8. Thaksin’s anticipated parole can occur as soon as he completes eight months of his sentence. I thought it was said somewhere before that no parole would be granted for Thaksin? Maybe he can apply, but drag the heels until his one year is up.
  9. Absolutely the right thing... do nothing, nothing changes
  10. Caretaker Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has taken decisive action, ordering the termination of two contracts with Italian-Thai Development Plc (ITD) following recent crane collapses that resulted in over 30 fatalities. Hit them hard in the pocket to compensate for the fatalities and injuries... Hit them hard for the costs to the raail/train operators. Then jail the Bosses..
  11. This incident highlights a worrying trend of increasing construction accidents in the country over recent years. The end result of cost cutting and the use of cheap inexperienced labour, coupled with little or no risk assessments or mandatory safety checks. Time some construction bosses were jailed or at least held accountable.
  12. Affairs Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow expressed the government's need for a comprehensive explanation, It's to stop people entering USA with limited funds, then claiming off the welfare system and medical services.. Simple explanation : if you go to USA as a tourist you fund yourself for any eventuality. If you intend to stay for an extended period of time, have finances in place and medical insurance.
  13. Again, again; again, and again... nothing is ever done
  14. Authorities said checks were under way to determine the circumstances and assess the situation on site. Start looking at Thailands very poor construction site safety plans or risk assessments... even crane operator experience certification?
  15. On the last day they spoke, he told his mother he was anxious about meeting two Russian men to negotiate a cannabis-related business deal. He reportedly said he felt the men were dangerous and that the situation could put him at risk. Seems he went anyway.... oh dear.
  16. Seems alcohol and heights don't mix well
  17. The arrests followed a joint operation Pun intended ?
  18. Data suggests it needs curbing... not continue as a free-for-all
  19. The incident was brought under control without injury and the man was later escorted safely back to his accommodation in Jomtien. Behave yourself gramps, or you'll be booking a ticket out of Thailand
  20. A lot of people with hands-on skills in the area... but will they vacate the bars for factory work?
  21. Former Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and her husband reported a total asset value of 11.3 billion baht upon her departure from office last August, a reduction from the 14 billion baht reported when she assumed the role in August 2024. Easy come easy go...
  22. Thailand has seen a staggering influx of tourists in 2026, with over 1.1 million foreign arrivals in the first 11 days alone, generating about 55.03 billion Thai baht. The Ministry of Tourism and Sports reported this impressive figure, which underscores the nation's strong draw for international visitors. Nothing to do with the New Year celebrations then?
  23. I wonder if the "risk assessment" document had this noted?
  24. Stop tourism, not as long as my ass points to ground
  25. They would have to exclude Alien technology as that might get confused with Farangs
