The Department of Internal Trade has asked shopping malls and retail stores to stock up on necessary goods to meet consumer demand as the third Covid-19 outbreak remains volatile.

The secretary-general said the meeting has agreed to monitor the Covid-19 situation over the next couple of days to see if infections can be brought under control.
Next couple of months more like.

The Health Ministry also reported 2,179 more daily cases. Thailand for months had suppressed the virus but a new outbreak emerged several weeks ago.
This is making Samut Sakhorn/Songkran look like a blip, they said that was a crisis, now we see the same figures as that every day.

Put out the welcome mat as much as you want... however it's going to be up to the tourist if they want to come somewhere where only a proportion have been inoculated.

It would be the dumbest move he ever made if he tried to shut-down social media.

Dr. Opart also said today (Monday) that the more than 2,000 infections per day for the past several days is a matter of serious concern and the Ministry of Public Health finds it necessary to tighten preventive measures in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chon Buri, Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan and Prachuap Khiri Khan.
So after the freedom given over Songkran they are now concerned....

Thailand’s COVID-19 vaccine procurement target is 100 million doses this year. Currently, the country has 2.5 million doses of the Sinovac vaccine and is planning to order another 1 million doses, which should arrive in the middle of next month.
Jesus H Christ... they are so far off the mark it's almost unbelievable, totally inadequate government planning,
The PM and health minister should be jointly ashamed of themselves.

Not one drop in the country yet... this won't save anyones ar*e until it's injected.
Remember the fanfare when Sinovac arrived, flags waving at the airport... achieved diddly-squat.

But equally ridiculous if the passenger is your wife/husband - unless you both wear masks in bed?
But with the dark windows of most Thai cars, you could be driving naked and nobody would notice.
You can catch Covid from a family member so why is this ridiculous, when out from home you have to mask-up which is where one of you is likely to become infected, not at home in bed?

Headline fails to explain the in car requirement is only if you have a passenger with you.
They are nto requiring people driving alone to wear a mask inside their car, that would be ridiculous.
