In the OP the thief is described as a regular customer of the salon, so, hardly a complete stranger.
The initial test drive is understandable...
But who lets a customer drive your car away after saying it was perfect and agreeing to buy it?
Cash/payment first with the exchange of paperwork stating new ownership? -

Ohh the poor dears, no tourists to screw over, so no money, what a shame.
People like them never think about the future, today only, then when things are a bit tight, go bleating to the government, you have to feed us, tough.
I'm sure Prayut is listening to you...

Deputy Prime Minister/Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul today dismissed news reports that the Ministry of Public Health planned to call for the enforcement of the Security Keeping Act to ban political gatherings, and asserted that no political issue should be connected with the COVID-19 epidemic situation.
So after a veiled threat he's had time to re-think... after the dissolution of the FFP which drove people to the streets to protest [as that is now their only platform] he hinted that the security act might be invoked to stem the student protests in the name of public health safety. That really would be the straw you don't want to put on the camels back!

The tourists were advised to use the rank for their own safety. Chatchai was charged with trespass in the airport.
Charged how much... not 100,000 baht and no jail...
so just threats and no action as usual, just a minimal fine lining someones pocket?

19 hours ago, webfact said:“The Ministry of Public Health has ordered private hospitals to stand by for a large-scale outbreak and provide treatment to patients under investigation and those who have high risk of infection,” he said. “However, at present the shortage of face masks in the market has hindered the operation of private hospitals, which substantially increases the risk of medical staff getting infected while treating the patients, and the risk of hospitals becoming the hub that spreads the virus to other patients.”
Ok I have two questions to ask....
#1 The latest news in another post today says there are only 11 patients [nationwide] undergoing treatment in hospital, all others have returned home cured, so what is the panic in hospitals?
#2 What large scale outbreak is suddenly imminent, unless we've been kept in the dark and something is about to unfold?

I'm one hundred percent behind the students, they've lost their only voice to make a change through the normal channels, this has provoked them into open protest and Prayut &Co will certainly use security measures to quell them too, as Anutin hinted at.
Opposition may be broad across the community but so is Prayuts influence, he has the "house" sewn up, EC sewn up, constitution court sewn up, he owns most of the governors of each province, the army and the police all do his bidding!
This cannot be achieved by discussion and diplomacy via some sort of committee, Prayut has all the cards up his sleeve.... this will eventually blow up and get real !

Just a ruse to quell the students, tell them we'll set up a committee, listen to their views.... but you must stop the protests!
Then ignore everything and continue as normal.
I hope the students tell them to stick the committee where the sun don't shine!

The powers to be will hound him for years, if he offers any support, even verbal to anyone they'll nail him for inciting the public, he'll be set up for something and will end up in exile along with all the others!

He was at risk because Thailand refused to stop the flow of Chinese over the CNY period, profit over people ruled the day!

World Animal Protection seeks to provide a happier and more beneficial life for animals and also show communities how they can exchange traditional business practices for kinder, nobler endeavours that still attract tourists and ample income.
Something many "elephant parks" boast but don't deliver.
I hate watching elephants paint portraits, play football or do other crazy stuff in the name of entertainment for tourists, while the owners say it keeps the elephants happy.
This post shows where the elephant is happiest.... in it's natural environment and left alone.

Lets hope these kids don't try to be martyrs for nothing
It's their future and for once I think these students can see they can and must make a difference.
Yes granted the parents of many of them are too concerned with daily matters to protest, or to take much notice about who is doing what and vote accordingly.
But when it really starts to hit the family pocket they might just start to listen to their kids frustrations.
The students might be the tipping point to get things started.

Yes we get it, however it's all a matter of statitics. What are the chances of someone dying from this disease ? Apparently a lot less then dying from the flu, or dying on the road, yet we don't massively stop driving a car either.
I can't do much about the road statistics or becoming a road victim... but I can help myself from contracting a virus.
The chances of dying from it are minimal, but even less if you don't have it !

"If they don’t listen to our warning, organisers must take responsibility if the protest leads to the spread of the disease,” he warned.
Every action has a re-action... invoke the security act in the name of public health and watch the time-bomb go off!
If large crowd gatherings are on the minds of the government then ban every large public event, ban the up-coming motorcycle race in Buriram, ban expo's, ban hoards going to the beach, close the "mass transit train system".... you cannot pick-and-choose!
