Can anyone tell me, has the off-road minivan station next to Century building (below Victory Monument BTS) been relocated or is it still allowed to operate from that location?
I used to use this service to & from Nakhon Pathom & need to know if it's still running. -
3-5C drop in temp in the "upper region" suggests it would be a good idea to keep your shirt on.
It would therefore be prudent to keep your shorts on to prevent a similar drop in temp in the "lower region" -

Well by car / road it's 320km, and by boat it's only 100km, so easily possible to do it in 90 minutes... It's not like the boat's going to follow the coast all the way there.
Ohhh. Iwas rather hoping it would keep the coast in view.. I can swim that far if need be!!!

After those actions my sister would have told me to go forth & multiply, as for my parents, home would have been the last place I'd have run to & show my face...
Thai families always stick together no-matter what the cause!

The former park chief was removed in September
I hope his bank account & assets will be checked to see if it matches his income for the time of his employment as park chief
anything that looks "extraordinarily out of order" should also be confiscated.

Praise for the driver, he did the right thing, many would have fled the scene...
teaching his child was a good thing too, the only worrying thing was judging by the sound of the child's voice he/she was very young
but old enough to know that "daddy will have to own up that" obviously has a grasp on how Thailand works already!!

Yep, even where I am I rarely see a traffic cop, and there are zillions of them...So, where are they, why isn't there commanding officers giving out tasks daily to the troops...
Any idiot can see folk will do what they like if there is no officialdom loitering out there to nab 'em.....
Because they're all out collecting bribes from all their business connections...

Lanes.... what are lanes??
In Thailand the whole road width is a free-for-all !!!Same as traffic lights.. just there for guidance, not to be taken seriously...
Railway crossing barriers, just duck under or go around them... I could go on but Xmas is coming!!!!This is Thailand, don't expect too much !!

Can anyone tell me if the van station/ticket booths directly below Victory Monument BTS adjacent to Century plaza is still in operation or if that has been relocated as well.

Where there's rice there's a scam!!!

My thoughts go towards the many hundreds of Thais who have suddenly been deprived of their lively hoods and now wont be able to provide for their families.
Please don't you're gonna make me cry...
they'll do just fine, and set-up illegally somewhere else in a few days!!!

Beer bars open at 6am?
Customers still in the beer bar at 6am means it never closed from the night before maybe??
I'm surprised the BIB didn't ask the manager a few questions...unless of course it was a private party & the morning cleaner accidentally left the door open??

the kid can't count but his excuse is he was only 5.. what's the grown up officers excuse for not being able to spell?

Enforce the law vigorously, must have cost somebody a lot of money, as the laws in Thailand are only vigorously enforced when somebody parts with money.
Makes a pleasant change from the normal routine: laws in Thailand are vigorously evaded when somebody parts with money!!

Ok from watching the video, yes the boy was totally to blame for running out into the road, alas most kids do at some point in time
some don't live to tell the tale.
The driver had virtually no time to react due to being blinded by the parked car, but should have stopped to give assistance, but as we all know in Thailand it's better to flea the scene rather than risk being a victim of instant karma by witnesses or family.
What is a mystery is why she initially stopped, became a bystander and then gave a false vehicle description, why didn't she just keep going, possibly she did stop but then saw the extent of the injuries & panicked?
Not to detract from the main post which is an all too familiar occurrence:

The boy - Khanat Piakaew - is recovering in hospital in Nakorn Pathom east of Bangkok.
Unless Nakhon Pathom has been secretly relocated overnight without anyone's knowledge it is actually west of BKK
I understand Thai's have problems with geography on a global scale but this is inside Thailand!

How can he steer a big bus like that if he's also on the phone? He should loose his license forever but i see many idiot busdrivers every day in BKK, also on the phone while driving. I never see police on patrol though so this is their fault.
I was once in a similar bus to this one in central BKK, the driver was as erratic as this one which go my attention.
As I looked forward to see what the problem was, he was texting with both hands & steering with his knee under the wheel...
I managed to walk to the front & told him to stop so I could get off, as I glanced back about half the passengers followed me, the rest must have had a death wish or been immune to Thai drivers. -
The monk walks by without a glance, the lady vendor continues to serve her customers from her curb-side stall without even bothering to look up, just another day in paradise!!

I'm a keen hobbyist looking for any redundant tobacco pipes that may be laying around here in Thailand,
I have an interest in refurbishing, repairing or using as spare parts.
Any manufacturer, British, Irish, American, European, Asian, any design style, condition or age considered.

One word springs to mind... CASTRATION!

If it goes ahead god help Hua Hin, Pranburi etc... does Thailand really need another Sex city?
The six hour road trip was the only thing keeping the scum of the east out of the west!!!!

Ladyboy caught pick-pocketing, surely not !!!
She/he was just checking the gentleman's credentials, the wallet must have accidentally slipped out during the tricky maneuver.

It's the year 2016 nearly 2017... God help Thailand if this is the best idea they can come up with.... but I fear if this proves to be successful it will be rolled out nationwide....
