  1. A local sop owner in my village has a son who joined the force 3 years ago. Quite the eye opener what goes on in our province.. [the infamous Nakhon Pathom]
  2. Maybe you should ask yourself why police officers were at the party?
  3. Deservedly so... I'm not saying the RTP are 100% rotten to the core.. there are 1% who are trying to do a good job swimming against the tide.
  4. Monitoring staff performance... good heavens above.
  5. Yeah, lots of people around me with deep wracking coughs, a good friend the same got diagnosed with influenza type A.. Got 8 different sets of pills to take over 10- days by the doctor.. I think she'll be in re-hab soon.
  6. As soon as he opens his mouth and splutters his words in some obscure dialect I turn the channel over.
  7. Corruption is at every level in Thailand, no way is it ever going to be eradicated.
  8. I remember years ago when I was an apprentice at an aircraft company.. 48 minutes lunchtime usually meant we got a bit of kip in as well as food. One apprentice fell asleep in his car and failed to wake up and clock back in. asking the supervisor if one of us should go and get him he said no it's ok. Whiles he's sleeping he's still got a job. that was 50 years ago..times were different.
  9. If the air system fails brakes are automatically applied. You need air pressure to release them? Unless the system has been tampered with?
  10. Thailand is the last place on earth I'd want to be born...
  11. Too much freedom, if he likes parading around so much enlist him at the nearest barracks for six months.
  12. Raise VAT that's fair, the more you spend the more tax you pay. Yes it hits the poor, proportionally to what they spend, but the rich spend much more so therefore will contribute more.
  13. West of BKK got a light overnight shower Monday, that's all so far
  14. Cheap Charlies are the only thing keeping Thailand afloat at the moment.. why such emphasis on daily numbers, tourism spend etc etc. the millionaire traveler is not interested in a plastic seat on a road-side vendor selling 40 baht rubbish. They want thousands of back packers here for a week or two, then go to make way for more. Boasting about millions of tourists sounds better than half that number spending 10x as much.
  15. Just ensure enough staff are at their post when the aircraft lands... simple management.
  16. Those Thais who keep money in overseas accounts but periodically have a transfer back home will be displeased. Also those working overseas ending monthly welfare payments home to family would not like paying tax twice.
  17. You just like the Hugo Boss uniforms...
  18. The man claimed that he was driving normally and as he was about to reach an intersection, the victim on her motorbike suddenly dashed in front of his car, resulting in a fatal collision. What intersection?
