  1. I agree with you, but maybe the text wasn't updated? I tried to complete the form, as previous and as mentioned by someone here, they are asking for your legal address + eventually, current address. So I put my legal address in France and current address in HK and when I clicked "next", it didn't ring a bell. Anyway, I love HK very much - too bad accommodation is three times more expensive than in Thailand and five times smaller - so, even if I don't get the e-visa, I should enjoy my stay (I wasn't excited at all by Da Nang during my first visit). In any case I will share the result of my attempt on this forum.
  2. I already read this. Sure, it's confusing, but I got an e-visa in South-Korea where I don't have a legal residence address. Also, are the e-visa official website and Royal Thai Consulate General the same thing? Thai announcements are sometimes contradictory, you never really know... + I've a thai address on my passport (yes French passport have an address on main page, mine is in Chiang Mai).
  3. ???? Nothing about Thai embassy in HK relative to my question I think... I've already checked on the e-visa site: French passport can apply for e-visa in HK.
  4. Hello everyone, After planning going to Da Nan to wait for the new 60 days exemption visa, I changed my mind and will fly to Hong Kong where I can ask for an e-visa (Hong Kong is in China and China is one of the two asian countries where you can get an e-visa). Did someone as some experience with Hong Kong Thai embassy for e-visa? Specifically, once my request has been made with proof that I am sending it from Hong Kong, I am not sure I want to wait for the response from the embassy in Hong Kong. My understanding is that the application must be made from HK but does not require waiting for the e-visa in HK. However, I could be wrong, so if anyone has any arguments to prove me I'm indeed wrong, I would be very interested to hear them. Thank you so much!
  5. Thanks for your comment. For Nong Khai, I prefer train to bus.
  6. Thank you, it's noted. But still more complicated than a night train Bangkok/Nong Khai. If the 60 days exemption comes at the end of June or beginning of July I should avoid the visa run.
  7. No, I came first time to Thailand in March by plane with an e-visa. I've already bought a plane ticket to Da Nang but I was thinking ignore it for a visa run. But it could be better to use it and stay few days in Vietnam until the 60 days exemption is effective. My goal is to stay in Thailand until October 8. So, if I stay in Da Nang until July 10 and get 60 days visa exemption when coming back to Thailand + 30 days extension, it should be perfect, no need for a visa run. If I get only 30 days, I should do a visa run. Anyway, thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
  8. Yes, I should have mentioned "no minivan", my mistake, sorry.. I could even take a night train to Nong Khai and walk to the border, I have done this several times in the past. It's ok these days, no problem at all, just to pay for the Lao Visa in $? No need to stay one night in Laos? Did someone has a recent experience? One more thing: do you think the new 60 days extension - when it will be effective, I know right now it's always 30 days - will also be valid for visas run by land or limited to airports?
  9. Interesting, thank you. I don't know the area at all. Do you've some recent experience to share? How do you go to Mukdahan from Bangkok? Regular bus? I don't want to use minivan.
  10. Thanks, I used the train one time - 10 years ago - to come back from Aranyaprathet. But in 2024, it seems you need to pass one night in Cambodia.
  11. Thank you. Too much money + I blacklist minivan due to the number of accidents/deads.
  12. Hello everyone, Best practice for Visa run from Bangkok on June 2024? I seem to remember someone recently telling me to avoid Aranyaprathet? So, what else from Bangkok? Thank you.
  13. Nothing to know if this new 60 days exemption visa could be extended for 30 days?
  14. I love Hong Kong, but things have changed a lot since my last travel in 2017... But you're right, China works too.
  15. ..."should not"... but not sure... better to go to Kuala Lumpur or Hanoi to the embassy... or maybe Vientiane? Hanoi, I went one time in 2006... Vientiane, many many time but last time was at least 8 years ago, so I don't know how is the mood now.
  16. Sure... if I don't get problem with immigration asking for visa exempt few days after leaving Thaland + same problem again 60 days later.
  17. You've to send a proof of the country where you're. For Korea, I took a photo of the stamp on my passport. + Immigration will see that you come from Vietnam when looking your passport or just your boarding pass.
  18. Ooooops! You're right. I checked on the e-visa immigration web site by entering my country document and Malaysia: no e-visa. And same for Vietnam... F... I couldn't believe it depends of the country. In fact, big surprise, but Korea is the exception: Japan, Laos, Indonesia, Cambodia... no e-visa. Korea still ok, I just checked. Many thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.
  19. Hello everyone! So, I came to Thailand on March 26 with a tourist e-visa expiring on May 24. On last Monday I went to immigration and got an extension until June 23. (BTW, they kept my e-visa). My goal is to stay in Thailand 3 months again before going to Korea in October. I'm thinking about going ten days to two weeks in Kuala Lumpur from where I'll ask immediately for a new e-visa: do you've some experience like this ? Do you think I can get it or do you think the probability I get a new visa/e-visa just after l've left Thailand is weak ? IMPORTANT. Before, you couldn't get an e-visa if you weren't in your country. But it has changed, I got the previous one from Korea... and I'm not Korean!
