  1. I wonder if she thanked him for the economic disaster of lockdowns.
  2. The Plan 1: The royal military establishment knew MFP was going to be a threat a the election. 2: The royal military establishment knew they would need PTP support. 3: Bringing Thaksin back would garner that support as that was part of the deal. 4: Send Thaksin to jail upon return where he will feign severe illness immediately and get helicoptered to police hospital where accommodation has been prepared. 5: Thaksin stays there for a couple of months. 6: Give BJP large 'incentive' to form coalition along with PTP. 6: Royal pardon for Thaksin. 7: Get EC and CC to dissolve MFP.
  3. Thai and Cambodian press warn of escalating tensions following Miss Grand scandal but rhinoplasty clinics very happy.
  4. Hee! Hee ! Hee! That was me. Didn't know it was a troll post. I googled ring tossing. Attached pic. Hope this isn't a troll post too. Can't quite work out what a troll post is. Anyhow, this is just more pacifying populist nonsense from a govt. that knows the next election will see the end of them one way or another if nothing happens (tanks) before said election.
  5. I would have thought inflation/cost of living/war would have been the highest priority mental health issue but who I am to argue against the WHO, the most trusted and neutral global organisation.
  6. A result of a corrupt process with a façade of being an 'election' to put in a pseudo Senate.
  7. Correct me if I'm wrong but the last referendum was on the royalist military establishment's constitutional re-write and was an absolutely fantastic antonym for the term credible. https://asaa.asn.au/the-real-meaning-of-thailands-constitutional-referendum/ Many observers of Thailand’s ongoing debilitating political crisis have been scratching their heads trying to understand how Thai voters approved a draft constitution in the referendum on 7 August 2016 which is so blatantly designed to entrench military rule. The result of the referendum appeared to show an easy win to the ‘Yes’ camp. Sixty-one per cent of voters approved the draft constitution while 39 per cent voted ‘No’. Fifty-eight per cent also approved a second question, inserted by the regime at the last minute, on whether a non-elected prime minister could be appointed by a joint sitting of the Senate and House of Representatives. The real aim of the draft constitution is to weaken the authority of any future elected government and to constitutionally protect the political influence of the military and its conservative backers. Its drafter, 78-year-old conservative lawyer Meechai Ruchupan, has close Palace and military connections. In the 1980s he headed the Prime Minister’s Office under the then prime minister, General Prem Tinsulanonda, who, now aged 96, is chairman of the King’s Privy Council. The intention of this draft is to return Thailand to that era in which elections and political parties were held tightly in check by the military and its backers in the Palace.
  8. Absolutely pissed down where I am (Just SW of BKK) yesterday. Must have been 5 or 6 good storms one after the other. 1st one for today just starting 1306 hrs. Whenever you see any article or any person saying the wet season starts in May they are wrong. Usually the real wet starts in July. This year and last year late August to early September.
  9. See above posts for reference.
  10. I believe deleted heads can also be found but one needs to go to a LB bar or be duped.
  11. Not as boring as taekwondo though. Hop, hop, hop ,hop, hop, kick, kick, shout, shout ,shout , hop, hop, hop, hop, shout, shout, kick etc.
  12. Sadly you seem to have missed the very obvious sarcasm in @Wongkitlo's post. Here read this again. You see the fact is there are "girls and guys selling themselves in every soi and along the beach" Maybe a smiley or laughing emoji at the end of the post would have pointed you in the right direction of thought.
  13. I will guarantee you this is "driving the economy" a lot lot less than the multi-billion baht recreational dope sector. Mind you the black market in steroids is probably benefiting.
  14. And this is only this particular outfit. Just another ridiculous law akin to vapes and the prohibition of alcohol sales (only at the big supermarkets and 7's etc.) midnight-11 am and 2-5pm. Maybe need to add sales of recreational dope to this list. Must keep people safe.
  15. Thanks. Only thing is this is what I got when I Googled Thai pavilion pics....
  16. Saudi is mates with the US.
  17. The similarity is striking to say the very least. Almost an identical copy.
  18. Maybe. By the way you've quoted what I quoted (from article) not what I posted/commented.
  19. Don't want to upset the dictator.
  20. Weaponising Section 112 is obviously not a threat to individual human rights. I'm not surprised by this as the UN is now more of a mouthpiece for Arab nations.
  21. Basically any move that threatens the power and wealth of the royalist military establishment is now accused of violating Article 49 of the constitution, a constitution written by the royalist military establishment with the specific aim of protecting said royalist military establishment and the status quo. Anyone who is deluded enough to think Thailand is democracy should hold their head in shame.
  22. Q: Does Kamala Harris support government-paid gender-affirming surgery for prison inmates and immigrant detainees? A: The government must provide medical care to prisoners and immigrant detainees. Vice President Kamala Harris expressed support in a 2019 questionnaire for “medically necessary” gender-affirming care, including surgical care, for federal prisoners and detainees. She has not detailed her position in the current campaign. https://www.factcheck.org/2024/10/harris-position-on-health-care-for-transgender-prisoners-and-detainees/
  23. Pitiful. Your have obviously assumed this was down to a lithium ion battery otherwise your comment has absolutely nothing to do with the article, although it would be fair to wonder if indeed this was an EV battery fire. I did. What I didn't do was assume it was. "This is going to be the Next big thing, plenty of EV are catching fire because of Li-ion batterys"
  24. I guess you can post assumptions though i.e. EV battery fire.
